I wanted to support my local florist for my wedding and we didn't need many fresh floral pieces. We ordered two bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, and cake florals from Adriene's. It's a very old school business; there was no formal contract. My "invoice" was typed in a Word document that wasn't calculated correctly (in my favor, but I pointed it out to them to adjust). I had gotten a bad review from our venue coordinator after we had already booked Adriene's so I just made sure I stopped in a few weeks before the wedding to reconfirm everything. Stephen was very nice to speak to in person and was very excited about my design inspiration (I provided them pictures from Pinterest). While the bouquets were very pretty and the spirit of it was captured, but the colors of roses weren't what we discussed or really in my color scheme. They don't have any "look books" for you to view prior. Just said they would basically copy my inspiration pictures. They were really excited to create pocket boutonnieres (trying to be trendy!), but most of them wilted or fell apart before the ceremony even began or shortly after. My husband had to switch his out with the best man. We tried to be budget conscious when it came to florals and we got what we paid for.
My wedding was the weekend of Valentine's day and I had to make a rush order last minute so I expected a higher price point. However, I thought that it was a little too high for the quality I received. My bouquet was absolutely gorgeous, and the guy that helped me was very knowledgeable about flowers and was able to help me create a bouquet I loved, with new flowers I had never even heard of before. My only disappointment besides the price was the way the ends of the bouquet were. I had this very pretty bouquet, with average ribbon wrapping (not very tight or quality) and then it just stopped midway up the stalks and you could see this raw ends, that were cut uneven and ugly. It may have just been me being a perfectionist, but I didn't like the look of that rawness. We also ordered my husband's boutonniere and flower girl petals from this vendor and same opinion, nice but pricey.
My bridal bouquet was beautiful, and my bridesmaids bouquets were beautiful, though NOT what I asked for.
They seemed to take a lot of liberties with some of my ideas, which I'm certain I communicated. They also had some ideas of their own, for which I asked for a picture or a visual to see if I liked it. I did not get any sort of visual until the day of the wedding...some of them worked beautifully but others were a huge miss for me.
The flowers were fresh but I think they were way overpriced compared to other vendors.
Our wedding style was casual elegance! We had an evening summer wedding with gold and black formal wear for our wedding party and the only color was our flowers so I wanted them to pop. I asked for deep purples and reds and got just that! The flowers were absolutely beautiful! They looked perfect on the wedding day and even better in the photos!
Our casual elegant wedding also needed to be affordable and Adriene's had the best prices of all the places that our wedding planner looked into! We are so glad we went with them!
