Not only is Charmaine and her staff amazing to work with but they took my bridal shower vision and made it come to life x1000!! I was in shock at how beautiful everything was when I walked in for the first time! Every detail was absolutely stunning! If you take away anything from this review: stop your florist search and HIRE CHARMAINE. I interviewed 10+ local florists and Charmaine was by far the best, and she absolutely went above and beyond for my wedding. Seriously, I can’t say enough great things about working with Charmaine for my wedding. Charmaine was an amazing partner from day one of working together and she helped my wedding vision come true. She has an UNMATCHED attention to detail and she was literally obsessed with getting it right. Not to mention, she is also hilarious and is so fun to work with. As far as decor goes, my wedding day was completely stress-free as I knew that if Charmaine (and her son, who is also AWESOME) were on it, they would make sure everything was done perfectly. She seriously went above and beyond and even made sure my reception tables were positioned perfectly and everything was set up perfectly. Most florists just drop off the items and hope the venue sets it up correctly, but not Charmaine. She was there hours early to make sure everything was literally perfect. I didn’t even double check anything or worry about my decor at all on my wedding day because I trusted her 100% after working with her over the months and weeks leading up to my wedding. Thanks to Charmaine, I didn’t have to hire any other vendors for decor, she pretty much handled everything from the flowers (of course) to other details like card, box, tables, signs, table runners, etc.. Throughout the whole planning process, she was extremely communicative and was able to answer my calls and texts super quickly, and give me advice on not only just flowers but other aspects of my wedding in general. I had interviewed other florists in the area and they did not bring even an ounce of the excitement and commitment that Charmaine does. Like I said earlier, she was a true partner and I felt like she was personally invested in my wedding being amazing. Another great thing about Charmaine is that she only works on weddings so you won’t find that she’s busy with other things like Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, etc. Her commitment to her clients is incredible and she was the best vendor on my team by far. I’m so grateful that I got to work with Charmaine, and she made a HUGE difference in reducing stress leading up to my wedding and on the day itself. Charmaine really helped me figure out exactly how to achieve my vision for the day. She did a great job of selecting flowers that looked amazing together and made sure that they were delivered on time. Everything came out perfect and I really loved the floral arch piece she made for me.

Charmaine was so great to work with, and the florals at our wedding were GORGEOUS. She is an artist and created such a beautiful vision at our venue. I wanted something simple and classic, lots of green and white and clear glass, and she brought that to life and then some! She even provided florals for my bridal shower and our rehearsal dinner - everything was gorgeous. Highly recommend Charmaine!!

We found this vendor through the Knot. Our wedding was simple and low key with an extremely small guest list as we were doing a larger reception. I just wanted a couple of small bouquets but didn't want to spend a ton of money since the ceremony was going to be short. Affections came through for us big time! We got 3 gorgeous bouquets and matching boutanires for the guys, which I wasn't planning on originally until I was told the price. There was a small mixup on the pick up day, which was 100% my fault because I didn't write it down. She was so understanding and she made sure we got the flowers the day of the ceremony without issues so that they were in perfect condition. She went above and beyond what I expected. I highly recommend Affections Floral Desing without hesitation!

Char was the BEST!!!! She was super responsive and organized. She has the best props, votives, vases, and candles. She completely understood the look I was going for and executed it perfectly. I could not have asked for a better florist to work with or better flowers for my big day. I would recommend her over and over again.

Charmaine was the best and easiest vendor to work with! She brought my life long wedding vision to life so beautifully and is extremely talented. Her flexibility and desire to do everything she can to make the bride and groom pleased is extraordinary. All our wedding guests could not believe how beautiful the venue decorations looked as we also got a lot of decorative pieces from Charmaine! The MOST beautiful flowers I’ve ever seen!! The colors were so brilliant and so vibrant it was shocking! Charmaine was so attentive and so accommodating during the most challenging of years with personal tragedy to the bride and a global pandemic that forced cancellation of the 1st wedding date and then the re-schedule and then dealing with all the restrictions and obstacles that came along the way, Charmaine took it in stride and delivered floral arrangements that far exceeded our expectations! They were just exquisite and we can’t say enough to the professionalism and genuine care that Charmaine and her team provided to us. She is a rare find and a true botanical artist!

Charmaine was so understanding as we planned (and replanned) our wedding due to COVID. She even drove the flowers from NY to MA to accommodate our new venue/date. We are forever thankful for the beautiful arrangements that brought my vision to life!

Charmaine was so amazing!!! She was so easy to work with and took my vision and made it happen! All of the little details that were added to my bouquet and my bridesmaids made it even more special. Throughout my whole day all of our guest complimented how beautiful all of our flowers were. I cannot rave about this place enough!

My now-husband (yay!) and I got married on 9/12/2020 at Hotel Utica. I actually found Affections from a fellow bride after I attended her wedding and was just in love with her flowers/decor. Char was the sweetest vendor to work with & despite the ever-changing planning process we experienced during the pandemic she was always flexible and accommodating — just a quick text or email away at all times. From the initial visit with Char & Josh where we sat for almost 2 hours to figure out what the heck it was I wanted (not knowing the different types of flowers or greenery!) to the final walk through our venue the week before our wedding — I felt at ease knowing that with Affections on my team I knew they would make the night beautiful... and it truly was! We used their team for our ceremony space, draping, centerpieces, bouquets/bouts and beyond — everything the team touched with flowers and greenery transformed the space. Char and her team prepared the flowers for our wedding in June. I was planning from a distance, so had one call with Char, sent her some inspiration photos, and the price was right so we hired her! When we met up a month before the wedding, we learned she was doing 5 weddings on our weekend and I thought she was a little crazy, but her work is incredible! She is so talented and truly brought my vision to life (cliche, I know, but true). I was so nervous about not being there on the morning of while all the decor and details were being set up - but when I walked in prior to the ceremony, it was beyond my expectations! Charmaine did the flowers and tables for our daughters wedding, it was stunning when you walked into the ballroom. My daughters theme was peacocks and chose all her bridemaids dresses to match the many colors of a peacock, Charmaine totally understood the theme and matched all the colors perfectly! She also did my other daughters wedding ten years ago, there is no one else I would have trusted more! Thank you for making both my daughters weddings breathtakingly perfect! We love you!!

Charmaine did our flowers and decor for our wedding and everyone absolutely loved EVERYTHING she did! The draping, bouquets, centerpieces.....everything she touched was magical!! She made it everything that we were thinking and more!! She even embellished any decorations that we brought ourselves. It truly looked magical and whimsical - just what we wanted! Truly a fairy-tale, dream come true!!

Charmaine was our florist for my daughters wedding at Dicastros Private Beach Club in Sylvan beach. my daughters favorite color is glitter lol. Charmaine took my daughters vision of sparkle everywhere and ran with it. She made it very tasteful and elegant. We had MANY compliments on all the decor she brought in. She also left a lot of little added surprises(her fluff) as she called it. I would definitely use her again!

Char and her team did such an amazing job for our July wedding at Tailwater Lodge. They listened and gave suggestions to make the day so special that I was left speechless when I saw the room. We met a few times before the wedding and everything when seemingly. Everything was done perfectly and tasteful. Char is also very easy to get a hold of, you can either text or call her and she will always get back to you .

We met with Char a couple times before the wedding. My daughter, the bride, didn't have a strong vision for what she wanted and we knew we were on a don't-break-the-bank budget. Somehow, Char was able to figure out what the bride wanted at a very reasonable price. Char made suggestions thoughtfully. The best part was that after meeting with Char, I trusted her to do amazing work. One less thing to worry about with all the other million things that go into wedding planning! And, gosh, she came through with flying colors! We were thrilled with the bridal bouquets when they arrived early to our home. But when we walked into the venue - we were blown away!!! OMG, Affections Floral outdid themselves. Centerpieces where perfect and everywhere I looked there were cute extra touches-on the cake, at the bar, on the windowsills, around the sweetheart table, near the escort cards, on and around the gift table, in the corners, over the rafters, etc, etc. My husband, who never met Char but paid the bills :), was so very impressed, too. He said, 'wroth every penny and more!' We HIGHLY recommend Char and Affections Floral for any wedding.

Stunning Flowers that were the talk of the night Char at Affections Floral was masterful at putting together every arrangement, every bouquet, and every detail. My wedding venue was stunning with Char in charge. She is such a professional with an eye for detail I had absolutely nothing to worry about while she and her team were setting up my venue. It was truly breathtaking in every way. I can not possibly express how special she made my day. I can only say that my wedding guests are still talking about how beautiful the flowers were 3 weeks later.

There aren't words for how much Charmaine and her team made our wedding day exactly what it was. The morning of our wedding and the days leading up, we had been slightly stressed out about items our venue had not gotten back to us about. At about 10:30AM on the day of the wedding, Charmaine showed up and immediately, there was a sense of relief. It was the first time I had met her, but the calmness she has and provides to brides and their families is unparalleled to anything I’ve ever experienced in the customer service industry. She came in, noticed the items that needed to be fixed and immediately got her team working on them, despite being the florist and not the coordinator. In under 45 minutes, she took a plain room and made it her canvas and the space could not have been more beautiful. Additionally, as the day of coordinator was not present, she worked with all the other vendors to make sure everything was set up correctly and aligned with the images I had sent over during our first correspondances. Another amazing thing about Charmaine and her team, was that they create beyond what you could envision. I had sent over inspiration pictures of what I envisioned my day to be, as well as pictures of my dress. Charmaine was familiar with the venue, and took those pictures and found ways to amplify my ideas in ways I couldn’t have even imagined. Had it not been for Charmaine, I can genuinely say that our day would not have been even close to what it was. After she was completed, I was able to relax and go about my day and when I saw everything completed right before walking down the aisle, my heart was filled with joy. If you are planning a wedding and have the opportunity - you should absolutely book with Charmaine. She goes above and beyond and is more than a florist, but the calmness you need on a day of chaos and perfectionism. We planned our entire wedding from 5 hours away and she was easily, one of the best vendors we worked with. Thank you again for the most perfect day to Charmaine and her team!

Charmaine and the whole staff did a wonderful job for my May wedding. She was willing to meet with me multiple times prior to my big day & made sure I was happy with everything. The floral arrangements were the talk of the wedding, and everyone found the addition of fruit in the arrangements so beautiful. I appreciate that Charmaine went above and beyond! I had a wonderful experience working with Affections.

Char (and her amazing team) knocked our wedding completely out of the park. She did both floral and decor for the wedding - I cannot say enough good about both. The flowers she brought and the arrangements she built were next level. We were married on a farm, and Char ensured there were flowers at all appropriate locations throughout the entire property. She created a gorgeous chuppah at the ceremony site, and our centerpieces were unbelievable. For a decor perspective, she totally transformed the venue. The venue is already beautiful, but Char's eye for detail pulled all of it together. She brought in furniture to create seating arrangements, chandeliers, additional lighting, various tables, etc. etc. etc. and made sure that everything looked totally complete and perfect. More, possibly, than the impeccable work, was how pleasant and easy it was to plan this with Char. Every time I spoke with her throughout the planning process, she was reassuring to a point where I knew she just had it - I didn't need to worry, because she understood what we were looking for, and she knows how to execute. On the day of, we had a tight turnaround with the wedding prior to us, and she was on-site with her team hours before our wedding party arrived to get ready. She was calming, and made sure I knew she had a handle on it all. I cannot more highly recommend a person to take care of floral and decor for a wedding. Char and co. were INCREDIBLE.

I cannot thank Char and her team enough! From our first meeting to the day of the event she went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and confident in the design for wedding day. She took my dreams and made them a reality. I'll never forget the feeling I felt the day I walked into my reception space and saw everything come to life. I had chills all over my body and happy tears filled my eyes. It truly was a dream come true. Char and her team (husband, too!) worked tirelessly to make everything perfect. As an event planner I know how much work and effort it takes to pull something like that off, their hard work did not go unnoticed. Family and friends are still complimenting me on how beautiful my space was. At the time of my wedding a close member of my family was fighting cancer, Char consistently asking me how he was doing and even offered to help my family when the event was over. To me, that speaks perfectly to her character. Char is so genuine, creative, hardworking, caring, and simply put an amazing decorator/designer who will make your dream wedding come to life. I recommend her without reservation.

Where do I begin? Char and her team were absolutely fantastic from the get go! She was attentive to every little detail I requested and went above and beyond my wildest imagination to ensure my wedding decor was breathtaking. All the attendants at my wedding raved about the decor all throughout the event! Moreover, Char and her team were extremely accommodating, with my ever changing seating plan! Affections is amazing. They made all of our visions come to life! They nailed every little detail. Not only do they offer floral, but were able to provide candles/votives and other decor as well. This is so helpful to a bride planning her wedding from across the country. Everyone was so friendly. I would highly recommend Affections!

Char at Affections Floral is incredible! She came highly recommended by our caterer and coordinator, and we were incredibly happy to have worked with her. She is very imaginative and responsive. I am not a woman who has a great knowledge of flowers, nor did I have a cohesive vision of what I wanted in terms of flowers and decor. Char was so helpful in her suggestions and imagination and was attentive to our preferences and budget. We were planning our event from distance, and she was available by phone and email whenever we had questions, and moved her schedule around to accommodate visits when we were able to come into the shop. All of the flowers and decor were beautiful, and she truly created a magical space for both our ceremony and reception.

So wonderful to work with. Our day was absolutely beautiful because of Charmaine's attention to detail and desire to go above and beyond. She wanted the day to be as beautiful as I did and she was one step ahead at all times. I recommend for anyone in the upstate NY Area!!!!!

What can I say. Charmaine and her staff made everything they touched turn to gold. Due to rain I had to get married inside at Dibbles Inn and it was absolutely gorgeous. My husband surprised me with flowers from Affections the morning of the wedding and they are still alive (6 days later!!) Thanks to all of them for making my day so beautiful.

Did not use this flourist. very nice but pushy to use her own ideas, not what I had wantes for my wedding. wanted us to pay to rent centerpieces. Got an estimate and was different than actual printed estimate we were given.used someone else instead
