dress. They were very uplifting, positive through the whole process. The staff was so sweet and made me feel like family. I lived 2.5 hours away from the shop (my sister lived in Des Moines and that is why we went shopping there) and they were flexible with my bridal fitting appointments. They were very positive and were more than willing to go above and beyond for their brides. I am so glad I was able to work with Katie and the staff at Affinity Bridals to create a wonderful wedding day!

at. Secondly the owner had a way of making a dress look like it fit you no matter what size it was. She had so many techniques, it was very impressive. I can tell she has been in the business a while, at the same time though she was quite pushy. I tried on several dresses and although some were obviously not the ones I sometimes I just wanted to stand there and admire myself in a long beautiful white dress that fit me like a glove but more then once she would say "I can tell you don't like it so let's just take it off". I felt more like a dollar sign to them then someone they were trying to make happy. On that same note more then once I felt very pressured to pick a dress at their store vs another dress I liked at another store. They of course said they weren't trying to pressure me but they made it rather obvious, but again they are trying to make money which I understand. I left with a rather sour taste in my mouth from this store which disappoints me but I think it was more of a personality clash then lack of customer service. I do complement the selection and ability to envision yourself in the dress though.

of accessories to choose from is amazing! All the ladies their are extremely helpful and fun. And Wendy well I don't think everything would have went so perfect if it wasn't for you. You saw to every detail and I never had to worry about anything I knew that you would always make it perfect and you DID! The alterations you did were great, you couldn't even tell it had been altered. I was so happy with everything ! The ladies really make you feel special when it comes to finding the right dress and everything, and they truly care. So thankful I found you and I tell everyone they HAVE to come here. process making way easier than I had thought it would be and you did it. You found me my perfect gown, listening to everything and making custom changes just for me!!! Then showed me some great bridesmaids options that made ALL my girls look great. My Mom was so pretty in her dress and I love my pictures of the 2 of us, thank you for calming her nerves. The tuxes were perfect everyone looked great. THANK YOU for making us all look & feel AMAZING!!! You gals are all the best and I will tell everyone they have to go to Affinity !!!!

At the end of the appointment, I felt no pressure to buy a dress, that I liked but did not love. The women who work there really believe in a bride finding her dream dress and do not pressure you at all if you are unsure. The staff provided exceptional service and when I became overheated a glass of water and fan were brought over before I could even ask.

with Affinity Bridals with finding my perfect wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, my mothers dress and everyone's shoes. I always felt comfortable and never felt like I was being pushed into buying something I didn't want. The staff was very nice and respectful to me, my family and bridesmaids. They always went above and beyond, for example they gave me extra beading/ embellishments to accommodate my financial concerns; they tried hard to work with me and my bridesmaids over the phone or by email to save us time and gas money with the trip from Des Moines to Indianola; they gave my bridesmaids their shoes at a lower price due to the original shoe we had picked was no longer available before my wedding; they fixed a piece on my mothers dress at no additional cost; they squeezed me in for my final fitting to accommodate my need/ anxiety to wait until the day before my wedding to get my dress. I was afraid that if I got my dress too soon, something would go wrong. They worked hard to make sure everything was perfect for my wedding and that I was not missing anything. I greatly appreciate everything they did for me and I am planning to return to have my dress preserved; when I have the money.

ion with well-known designers in various budgets. The selection rivals some of the HUGE shops in Des Moines like Stacey's, Schaeffers etc. But, Affinity is smarter and had much better service. Instead of spending a fortune on retail space and decor in their shop, the savings is clearly passed on to their brides! The dress prices were noticeably less expensive for the same dresses! I fell in love with my dress at Affinity and could not have been happier with my decision to purchase there. They do all their alterations themselves. AMAZING WORK at very reasonable prices. I paid significantly less for all of my alterations than friends did at other shops in the area and had more custom work done, which was done impeccably. They customized the skirt of my dress to make it just perfect! They had a great veil selection and other accessories so I purchased my veil and necklace there. The blinged out veil I wanted was over $500 at Bridal Connection in Ankeny...and I paid less than $250 at Affinity! They also do a custom bustle on each dress to make sure it looks absolutely perfect and the way you wanted. To top it all off, all the women who work there were genuinely interested to see how my wedding turned out and really want to hear from me again. Love love love it! Make the drive to Indianola and check it out...you won't regret it!

I even added 2 more bridesmaids about a month and a half before the wedding, and they helped me find comparable dresses to the original bridesmaid dresses we had picked out. They really work with you to get what you want. They're so fun and nice too! Love this store and their staff!

o I got $200 off the gown!! Both the gown and the veil were super flattering and Wendy and her staff always treated with kindness and respect and I genuinely felt they wanted me to look beautiful and they weren't just trying to sell me a dress. I had to drive from Ames to Indianola a few times, but they were worth the trip!!

on - and IT WAS! They know what dress to put on a girl! They were excellent as I returned for fittings. They also were able to order my bridesmaids dresses at a discounted price from the other store I found them at. They also ordered in my mother's dress that she found at Schaffers! (Also discounted!) They had and dyed all of my girls shoes as well! We got it all at Party Palisades!

an amazing job with all the dresses. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a stress free experience shopping for their wedding dress and wedding party attire.

rrible job. Half the dresses fit worse after alterations than they did before. very disappointed.
