Affinity Bridals

The selection here was amazing, being plus sized I am always nervous walking into a bridal shop and not being able to find many that will fit over my hips or chest. Not here. I was able to try on at least a dozen if not more dresses, it was great. Secondly the owner had a way of making a dress look like it fit you no matter what size it was. She had so many techniques, it was very impressive. I can tell she has been in the business a while, at the same time though she was quite pushy. I tried on several dresses and although some were obviously not the ones I sometimes I just wanted to stand there and admire myself in a long beautiful white dress that fit me like a glove but more then once she would say "I can tell you don't like it so let's just take it off". I felt more like a dollar sign to them then someone they were trying to make happy. On that same note more then once I felt very pressured to pick a dress at their store vs another dress I liked at another store. They of course said they weren't trying to pressure me but they made it rather obvious, but again they are trying to make money which I understand. I left with a rather sour taste in my mouth from this store which disappoints me but I think it was more of a personality clash then lack of customer service. I do complement the selection and ability to envision yourself in the dress though.

Wendy and her staff were simply amazing. They worked with us on finding my dress at the right price and they worked with my bridesmaids to find their dresses. Would definitely recommend to all my future bride friends and have.

I could not have a had a better experience getting my wedding dress!!! Affinity Bridals is an amazing store , with so many gorgeous dresses, I actually thought they their selection was better than several stores in Des Moines and the selection of accessories to choose from is amazing! All the ladies their are extremely helpful and fun. And Wendy well I don't think everything would have went so perfect if it wasn't for you. You saw to every detail and I never had to worry about anything I knew that you would always make it perfect and you DID! The alterations you did were great, you couldn't even tell it had been altered. I was so happy with everything ! The ladies really make you feel special when it comes to finding the right dress and everything, and they truly care. So thankful I found you and I tell everyone they HAVE to come here. THANK YOU AGAIN!!!!

Where do I start Affinity Bridals was perfect in every aspect of my wedding preparations. When we went in to look at wedding gowns I had no idea how much they would truly care that I found the perfect gown. You guys walked me through the entire process making way easier than I had thought it would be and you did it. You found me my perfect gown, listening to everything and making custom changes just for me!!! Then showed me some great bridesmaids options that made ALL my girls look great. My Mom was so pretty in her dress and I love my pictures of the 2 of us, thank you for calming her nerves. The tuxes were perfect everyone looked great. THANK YOU for making us all look & feel AMAZING!!! You gals are all the best and I will tell everyone they have to go to Affinity !!!!

They were amazing. They brought me water and fans to help keep me cool while trying on dresses. What I also loved is how they only picked dresses in my price range. All the ladies were so caring and would give wedding tips.

Thank you all for helping me find the perfect dress and making me so beautiful and comfortable on my wedding day. You took care of every aspect and I never had to worry or stress. The Moms both loved their dresses and all that you did. The bridesmaids were gorgeous and you altered them beautifully, and the tuxes fit perfectly. You all were a joy to work with and I feel so blessed to have met each of you! I have numerous friends "tying the knot" and I always tell them to go to Indianola to Affinity Bridals! I love you all! As a walk in, I was unsure of how I would be received at this bridal shop. I had a very small wait time, I filled out paperwork and was then allowed to browse until the scheduled appointment before me finished up. The staff was very professional and took the time to get to know my likes and dislikes in a dress. The had a large selection of gowns. At the end of the appointment, I felt no pressure to buy a dress, that I liked but did not love. The women who work there really believe in a bride finding her dream dress and do not pressure you at all if you are unsure. The staff provided exceptional service and when I became overheated a glass of water and fan were brought over before I could even ask.

I didn't end up buying my dress at Affinity Bridal but they were very helpful and knowledgeable. The owner did everything she could to help me but I just didn't end up finding the right dress here. I would definitely recommend taking a trip to look here due to their excellent customer service.

Amazing Service, loved the women that works there. They are truly one of a kind. They never made me feel like I was just another bride. The made me feel like aVIP. They transformed my already beautiful dress into the dress of my dreams. You can tell they absolutely love what they do. I would and have recommended them, will continue to do so. You will not find their generosity at bigger stores. They are amazing.

Out of all my experiences trying on dresses, I have to say this was the best. Other places were nice and then some were just awful. I feel like the small, family owned aspect is was really gives them that great touch. I had a great experience with Affinity Bridals with finding my perfect wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, my mothers dress and everyone's shoes. I always felt comfortable and never felt like I was being pushed into buying something I didn't want. The staff was very nice and respectful to me, my family and bridesmaids. They always went above and beyond, for example they gave me extra beading/ embellishments to accommodate my financial concerns; they tried hard to work with me and my bridesmaids over the phone or by email to save us time and gas money with the trip from Des Moines to Indianola; they gave my bridesmaids their shoes at a lower price due to the original shoe we had picked was no longer available before my wedding; they fixed a piece on my mothers dress at no additional cost; they squeezed me in for my final fitting to accommodate my need/ anxiety to wait until the day before my wedding to get my dress. I was afraid that if I got my dress too soon, something would go wrong. They worked hard to make sure everything was perfect for my wedding and that I was not missing anything. I greatly appreciate everything they did for me and I am planning to return to have my dress preserved; when I have the money.

We had some confusion regarding tux alterations, but they worked great with all the guys to get their tuxes to fit. Be sure you get very accurate measures, as if you don't get measured here, the tuxes may not fit correctly. However, the staff was friendly and their options were unlimited!

I just loved my dress and the people, they treated me like one of their own daughters.

I heard about Affinity from a relative and was skeptical about making the drive to Indianola, but I'm so glad I did! The shop is not very big or glamorous...but a closer look gives you a much different impression. Affinity had an amazing selection with well-known designers in various budgets. The selection rivals some of the HUGE shops in Des Moines like Stacey's, Schaeffers etc. But, Affinity is smarter and had much better service. Instead of spending a fortune on retail space and decor in their shop, the savings is clearly passed on to their brides! The dress prices were noticeably less expensive for the same dresses! I fell in love with my dress at Affinity and could not have been happier with my decision to purchase there. They do all their alterations themselves. AMAZING WORK at very reasonable prices. I paid significantly less for all of my alterations than friends did at other shops in the area and had more custom work done, which was done impeccably. They customized the skirt of my dress to make it just perfect! They had a great veil selection and other accessories so I purchased my veil and necklace there. The blinged out veil I wanted was over $500 at Bridal Connection in Ankeny...and I paid less than $250 at Affinity! They also do a custom bustle on each dress to make sure it looks absolutely perfect and the way you wanted. To top it all off, all the women who work there were genuinely interested to see how my wedding turned out and really want to hear from me again. Love love love it! Make the drive to Indianola and check it out...you won't regret it!

Beside for the drive which they could not control, they did a great job helping me find the one! They took care of all needs. I felt like a princess on my day.

I LOVED the staff at Affinity Bridals. They are so welcoming, casual, and professional. I am so indecisive, and when I tried on several dresses, they were very patient with me. They offered their professional advice and opinions when we had questions during the dress-finding process, and after we found our dresses. I even added 2 more bridesmaids about a month and a half before the wedding, and they helped me find comparable dresses to the original bridesmaid dresses we had picked out. They really work with you to get what you want. They're so fun and nice too! Love this store and their staff!

I got my amazing Maggie Sottero ball gown and mantilla veil at this bridal store and both fit my personality completely. I went to a bridal show in Des Moines and had a coupon for certain brands they carried and one of them was Maggie Sottero so I got $200 off the gown!! Both the gown and the veil were super flattering and Wendy and her staff always treated with kindness and respect and I genuinely felt they wanted me to look beautiful and they weren't just trying to sell me a dress. I had to drive from Ames to Indianola a few times, but they were worth the trip!!

I am sad that I did not end up going with this place. I had a wonderful time dress shopping at this store. they were knowledgable and very friendly.

I had a wonderful shopping experience here. I picked out and tried on several gowns and had yet to find the dress. The owner of the shop was VERY FORWARD and demanded that I put on a dress because she KNEW it would be the one for me. I tried it on - and IT WAS! They know what dress to put on a girl! They were excellent as I returned for fittings. They also were able to order my bridesmaids dresses at a discounted price from the other store I found them at. They also ordered in my mother's dress that she found at Schaffers! (Also discounted!) They had and dyed all of my girls shoes as well! We got it all at Party Palisades!

They were amazing to work with. They had an excellent selection of dresses and there was never any pressure. I bought my wedding dress, maid of honor’s dress and mother of the bride’s dress there. They were all altered there too and they did an amazing job with all the dresses. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a stress free experience shopping for their wedding dress and wedding party attire.

They have a wide assortment of dresses and some really friendly sales people, but if you get your dress there do not have it altered there! i was recently a bridesmaid in a wedding and we bought / had our dresses altered there and they did a horrible job. Half the dresses fit worse after alterations than they did before. very disappointed.
