Almost 2 months later and our guests can't stop raving about how good they were and how much fun our wedding was because of them. They played all of the hits and were extremely easy to work with leading up to the wedding. They took all of our requests to heart and truly gave us the best night ever!! If looking for a fun band that will get everyone on the dance floor After 8 is it!!

Wow.... After8 was INCREDIBLE at our wedding!! They were so engaging with the crowd and knew so many bangers. They played instrumentals at our ceremony, a jazz trio for the cocktail hour, and a full 8-piee band for the reception and each part of the night was better than the next. Would absolutely recommend After8!!

We had After 8 for our wedding and they were an absolute hit. Everyone told us how much they loved the band. They were incredibly responsive and receptive to any ideas, but we asked them to curate a playlist and they nailed it for all the different generations at the wedding. Everyone was dancing from the get go and they kept the energy up for the whole night. They’ve clearly done this before and know how to make any wedding go off without a hitch. Would recommend to any and everyone!

We were so lucky to have been able to hire After8 for our wedding in Lafayette, LA in Oct 2023. They completely elevated our wedding reception! I wanted a band that would be able to engage with the crowd, 'read the room', and keep the party alive for all ages that were in attendance, and they absolutely did that. Some feedback from my guests - "where did you find these guys?!" and "They were amazing and so much fun!" Additionally, their pricing compared to other bands in the Lafayette/Baton Rouge/New Orleans area was VERY comparable and reasonable. I worked with Russ throughout the process and he was helpful, professional, and acted like a true partner ensuring that my vision / goals were achieved, while also providing his professional opinion and feedback (which I 1000% appreciated and welcomed). I strongly suggest booking After8 for your big event - they will not disappoint!

We absolutely loved having After8 as our band for our wedding reception. We had some requests that they made happen with ease! The party didn’t stop until they shut it down! The music they played kept everyone grooving. We got so many compliments on how fun our wedding was and we definitely owe it to After8 for that. We highly recommend them for your wedding!

After 8 played during my wedding reception and their pianist played songs during the ceremony as well. They all showed up on time and they were set up with time to spare. Their performance was superb! All of my guests asked how we found them and said they were the best wedding band they had ever heard! I relied on reviews to narrow down the band selection for my NOLA destination wedding and hired After8 without ever hearing them play live. I watched videos of their performances and trusted that they would deliver the same level of performance at my wedding and THEY DID! Big relief for me. All praise to this professional band who at the basic level, does their job reliably and on time, but also on a higher level, gives an amazing performance that all my guests were raving about. Check their website for an extensive song list. Per the contract I got, they will also learn 2 additional songs for your wedding that aren't already their song list. This was perfect for us because our first dance and father/daughter dance songs weren't already on their list, but we got to add them. (PS wedding venue was Latrobe's on Royal, which I also recommend HIGHLY).

What a wonderful group of musicians. Took time to find out what songs we were interested in playing at the wedding. Arrived on time and were ready to go when the reception began. Everyone at the wedding began dancing immediately because of the energy and great music!!! The events coordinator for Bayou Desiard Country Club even stated they want to hire this band to come in for a special event for the members. My family and friends could not say enough great things about the band and how much fun they were having!!!!

Literally the day after our wedding all people talked about was how great the band was. After 8 brought the music. They read the crowd, knew exactly what music would get them on the dance floor and partied till we got kicked out of the venue. They were such a great party! If you want background music, this is not your band. If you want a serious dance party with the flexibility to have impromptu performances and dances from your friends (one of our friends did a beatboxing thing for us) then book them. They were amazing and fun in every sense of the word. The night wouldn’t have been the same without them. Book them! Thanks After8!!

After 8 Band made my wedding the party that I always wanted. They kept our guests on their feet the entire time, and I couldn't have picked a better lineup of songs myself! After 8 is the perfect band for every party -- especially weddings! All of our guests were floored with how this group can be so talented and so much fun at the same time. Russ was extremely accommodating with our sound/lighting needs, and Ryan was the perfect emcee for our special night.

Absolutely amazing. My husband and I were very picky with what band we wanted and we had a budget. This band is amazing for the price. They played all of the songs we requested from their song list before the big day. They were interactive with our guests. They learned 2 new songs for us. We got tons of compliments on how great they were. They were a great MC for the night too, and didn’t miss a beat. Couldn't be happier!

Where do I begin. From planning to the party itself, After 8 (shout out to Russ and Michael!), were a pleasure to work with. Our guests and us had a blast, and I lost count how many people told us how much they loved the band. They're able to play all types of music with their different vocal leads and instruments, and the horn section is killer! We also used them for ceremony music and a cocktail jazz quartet, and were so happy we did. The ceremony wouldn't have been the same without them. Michael took care of us and my wife's sometimes demanding needs for what songs to play, and played them to perfection. Definitely recommend!

After 8 was the band of our dreams!!! I was so excited to bring a piece of Baton Rouge to our New Orleans wedding with After 8. Russ was always so responsive and so helpful when answering my questions and helping me talk out my ideas. We decided to do an alternative to a money dance and they were so great helping me put the plan in motion! Every single person at our wedding said that we had the best band and had the best time! After 8 was PHENOMENAL for our wedding band! We got married last weekend at The Chicory in New Orleans, and After 8 was the PERFECT band to have all our guests dancing and having fun all night long. Many of our guests were not from New Orleans, as we have family and friends all over. My side of the family is from Chicago, and live bands are just not very popular there. However, my wife and I wanted to showcase the talent of the local music scene and give all of our guests a taste of New Orleans. After 8 absolutely delivered on all fronts - the musicianship, the vocals, the energy, had all of our guests raving about the band! It's been over a week since our wedding already, and we are still getting texts from family and friends about how good this band was. If you are looking for a wedding band that will get your crowd moving, look no further! This band is AMAZING!

Our goal was for our guests to have a great time, and After 8 made this happen. The dance floor was rockin’ to the very end and they even allowed the bride and groom to dance on the stage at the end. After 8 was After ... Gr8!!! Seriously these folks were amazing. They were beyond acommodating considering we had to reschedule our wedding several times due to the pandemic. They helped during the ceremony as well and their music catalog is jam-packed with great wedding music. They also let me, The Groom, sing a few songs and it was excellent. Their talent and graciousness is beyond measure and Id highly recommend them to anyone going forward.

Amazing is an understatement when it comes to After 8! They kept the energy up all night long and had EVERYONE on the dance floor until the very last song of the night. People were surprised we were leaving and did not want the night to end! I may be biased, since it was my own wedding, but I have never been to a more fun reception with a more fun band. They were so easy to work with throughout the planning process and made sure we had the best night of our lives. We cannot recommend After 8 enough!

After 8 was a fabulous high energy band. The vocals and horns were stellar and kept the dance floor full. Also, we asked Russ to edit the song for the bride/father dance, which they very happily did. We got lots of compliments about the band. They read the crowd very well. I would definitely recommend them.

They literally can play/sing anything and will be the hit of your wedding! Literally everyone enjoyed them as much as we did! My now husband & I heard After 8 at a wedding in Jan 2018 & loved them, so we booked them for our own wedding! We had a great time at our reception dancing with our family and friends... they even let me on stage! Guests still comment on how great the band was! They were also very quick to respond to emails and very accommodating with last minute requests. Highly recommend them.

Up until the wedding, we had never seen them live. I was a little nervous but I sure was not disappointed! They were so fun & the music they played was so diverse! Not just your typical wedding music. They’re a great time & would definitely recommend to anyone! We had to reschedule our wedding due to a hurricane & they were so easy to work with. We found another date, they were available, & we made it happen! I couldn’t have had a better experience with any other band!

People were telling us how great they were all night, and they had everyone dancing the entire time! We were very happy with our choice, and would love to party with them again!

Selecting a band was the first thing we booked after booking a reception location. The vocalists and music quality was amazing. The best part is they play a variety of music, not just the same songs that you hear at every wedding. From rock, soul, pop, and even some hip hop, they could play everything! These guys rocked it. We were second timers doing a destination wedding and they were soooooo much more veritile than any of their competitors. They were hip to the pace and vibe of the crowd, and dance floor was packed from the first note to the last. HINT: bring a back up dress and your groom an extra shirt or two...there will be sweating !

Russ and the band members in After 8 were great for our wedding!!! They sounded amazing and we had a blast dancing and singing along with them for our wedding! They were extremely accommodating - especially when I asked if my family member could sing our first dance song for us! There was no hesitation on their end and we were able to have a wonderful sentimental moment! They learn 2 new songs that are not on their playlist and it's included in the package which was a huge plus so we could pick our father/daughter and mother/son dances and not be limited to what they already knew (even though they have an amazing playlist!) We are SO HAPPY we chose After 8 for our wedding. They are very professional and made sure the bride was happy throughout the night with the music, even asking during their short break if I had any last minute requests before the night was over. Our videographers, who do a lot of weddings, got a novelty shot of the almost empty tables and chairs because they were surprised to see that nearly EVERYONE was up and dancing! Some of our normally musically-critical friends said things like, "The drummer was tight" (huge compliment coming from a drummer) and "There's no way she can conquer Adele...(2 minutes later)...OMG she nailed it!" Very easy to work with. And they have a horn section which is fabulous for that sweet Nola sound!

If you want EVERYONE to have fun, then book this band. They made our wedding. Hands down, one of the best. They were sooo easy to work with. You can email them anything at any time and they make it happen. To top it off, they were a blast!!!

After 8 was truly truly PHENOMENAL! They brought it all- style, enthusiasm, fun- they paid true homage to the oldies, spiced it up with contemporary, and did an amazing job with those classic songs that you can't live without at your wedding. I can't tell you how many guests commented on their performance or how many people I've referred since to hiring After 8. They created a genuinely fun atmosphere at our reception-so much so, that no one wanted it to end. They are are true professionals, but also a fun, lighthearted, and EXTREMELY TALENTED group. I recommend After 8 without reservation.

We knew that After 8 would be good. Very good. But, we didn't realize just how GREAT they would be when we hired them for our daughter, Michelle's, wedding. From start to finish they rocked! Their rendition of Magic by Coldplay as the couple's first song was so spot on that it was almost shocking. And, their vocals were incredible all night. Horn section? Darn right! Great rhythm section? Oh yeah! And, they truly looked like they were enjoying themselves as they interacted with our guests. There were many things that were great about this wedding according to our guests. And, they all named the band at or near the top of their lists!

After 8 literally made our wedding. I cannot even count the number of people who came up to me after and said how amazing our band was. They were perfect-- no one got off the dance floor all night! Also, my husband and I threw them for a loop with our chosen first song and they made such an effort to learn it, and ended up playing it perfectly. They were wonderful to work with. They also played a guitar during our ceremony which was lovely and not much more expensive. I have nothing bad to say. Still glowing from how fun they made our night.
