Almost 2 months later and our guests can't stop raving about how good they were and how much fun our wedding was because of them. They played all of the hits and were extremely easy to work with leading up to the wedding. They took all of our requests to heart and truly gave us the best night ever!! If looking for a fun band that will get everyone on the dance floor After 8 is it!!

Wow.... After8 was INCREDIBLE at our wedding!! They were so engaging with the crowd and knew so many bangers. They played instrumentals at our ceremony, a jazz trio for the cocktail hour, and a full 8-piee band for the reception and each part of the night was better than the next. Would absolutely recommend After8!!

We had After 8 for our wedding and they were an absolute hit. Everyone told us how much they loved the band. They were incredibly responsive and receptive to any ideas, but we asked them to curate a playlist and they nailed it for all the different generations at the wedding. Everyone was dancing from the get go and they kept the energy up for the whole night. They’ve clearly done this before and know how to make any wedding go off without a hitch. Would recommend to any and everyone!

Honestly, the best band ever!!! Worth every single penny! Everyone was dancing and having a great time. I loved how they played different music genres and choreographed with the songs! We were so lucky to have been able to hire After8 for our wedding in Lafayette, LA in Oct 2023. They completely elevated our wedding reception! I wanted a band that would be able to engage with the crowd, 'read the room', and keep the party alive for all ages that were in attendance, and they absolutely did that. Some feedback from my guests - "where did you find these guys?!" and "They were amazing and so much fun!" Additionally, their pricing compared to other bands in the Lafayette/Baton Rouge/New Orleans area was VERY comparable and reasonable. I worked with Russ throughout the process and he was helpful, professional, and acted like a true partner ensuring that my vision / goals were achieved, while also providing his professional opinion and feedback (which I 1000% appreciated and welcomed). We absolutely loved having After8 as our band for our wedding reception. We had some requests that they made happen with ease! The party didn’t stop until they shut it down! The music they played kept everyone grooving. We got so many compliments on how fun our wedding was and we definitely owe it to After8 for that. We highly recommend them for your wedding!

After 8 played during my wedding reception and their pianist played songs during the ceremony as well. They all showed up on time and they were set up with time to spare. Their performance was superb! All of my guests asked how we found them and said they were the best wedding band they had ever heard! I relied on reviews to narrow down the band selection for my NOLA destination wedding and hired After8 without ever hearing them play live. I watched videos of their performances and trusted that they would deliver the same level of performance at my wedding and THEY DID! Big relief for me. All praise to this professional band who at the basic level, does their job reliably and on time, but also on a higher level, gives an amazing performance that all my guests were raving about. Check their website for an extensive song list. Per the contract I got, they will also learn 2 additional songs for your wedding that aren't already their song list. This was perfect for us because our first dance and father/daughter dance songs weren't already on their list, but we got to add them. (PS wedding venue was Latrobe's on Royal, which I also recommend HIGHLY).

What a wonderful group of musicians. Took time to find out what songs we were interested in playing at the wedding. Arrived on time and were ready to go when the reception began. Everyone at the wedding began dancing immediately because of the energy and great music!!! The events coordinator for Bayou Desiard Country Club even stated they want to hire this band to come in for a special event for the members. My family and friends could not say enough great things about the band and how much fun they were having!!!!

Literally the day after our wedding all people talked about was how great the band was. After 8 brought the music. They read the crowd, knew exactly what music would get them on the dance floor and partied till we got kicked out of the venue. They were such a great party! If you want background music, this is not your band. If you want a serious dance party with the flexibility to have impromptu performances and dances from your friends (one of our friends did a beatboxing thing for us) then book them. They were amazing and fun in every sense of the word. The night wouldn’t have been the same without them. Book them! Thanks After8!!

After 8 is the perfect band for every party -- especially weddings! All of our guests were floored with how this group can be so talented and so much fun at the same time. Russ was extremely accommodating with our sound/lighting needs, and Ryan was the perfect emcee for our special night.

Absolutely amazing. My husband and I were very picky with what band we wanted and we had a budget. This band is amazing for the price. They played all of the songs we requested from their song list before the big day. They were interactive with our guests. They learned 2 new songs for us. We got tons of compliments on how great they were. They were a great MC for the night too, and didn’t miss a beat. Couldn't be happier!

Where do I begin. From planning to the party itself, After 8 (shout out to Russ and Michael!), were a pleasure to work with. Our guests and us had a blast, and I lost count how many people told us how much they loved the band. They're able to play all types of music with their different vocal leads and instruments, and the horn section is killer! We also used them for ceremony music and a cocktail jazz quartet, and were so happy we did. The ceremony wouldn't have been the same without them. Michael took care of us and my wife's sometimes demanding needs for what songs to play, and played them to perfection. Definitely recommend!

After 8 was the band of our dreams!!! I was so excited to bring a piece of Baton Rouge to our New Orleans wedding with After 8. Russ was always so responsive and so helpful when answering my questions and helping me talk out my ideas. Their talent and graciousness is beyond measure and Id highly recommend them to anyone going forward.

Amazing is an understatement when it comes to After 8! They kept the energy up all night long and had EVERYONE on the dance floor until the very last song of the night. People were surprised we were leaving and did not want the night to end! I may be biased, since it was my own wedding, but I have never been to a more fun reception with a more fun band. My now husband & I heard After 8 at a wedding in Jan 2018 & loved them, so we booked them for our own wedding! We had a great time at our reception dancing with our family and friends... they even let me on stage! Guests still comment on how great the band was! They were also very quick to respond to emails and very accommodating with last minute requests. Highly recommend them.

Up until the wedding, we had never seen them live. I was a little nervous but I sure was not disappointed! They were so fun & the music they played was so diverse! These guys rocked it. We were second timers doing a destination wedding and they were soooooo much more veritile than any of their competitors. They were hip to the pace and vibe of the crowd, and dance floor was packed from the first note to the last. HINT: bring a back up dress and your groom an extra shirt or two...there will be sweating !

Russ and the band members in After 8 were great for our wedding!!! They sounded amazing and we had a blast dancing and singing along with them for our wedding! They were extremely accommodating - especially when I asked if my family member could sing our first dance song for us! There was no hesitation on their end and we were able to have a wonderful sentimental moment! They learn 2 new songs that are not on their playlist and it's included in the package which was a huge plus so we could pick our father/daughter and mother/son dances and not be limited to what they already knew (even though they have an amazing playlist!) We are SO HAPPY we chose After 8 for our wedding. They are very professional and made sure the bride was happy throughout the night with the music, even asking during their short break if I had any last minute requests before the night was over. Our videographers, who do a lot of weddings, got a novelty shot of the almost empty tables and chairs because they were surprised to see that nearly EVERYONE was up and dancing! Some of our normally musically-critical friends said things like, "The drummer was tight" (huge compliment coming from a drummer) and "There's no way she can conquer Adele...(2 minutes later)...OMG she nailed it!" Very easy to work with. And they have a horn section which is fabulous for that sweet Nola sound!

If you want EVERYONE to have fun, then book this band. They made our wedding. Hands down, one of the best. They were sooo easy to work with. You can email them anything at any time and they make it happen. To top it off, they were a blast!!!

After 8 was truly truly PHENOMENAL! They brought it all- style, enthusiasm, fun- they paid true homage to the oldies, spiced it up with contemporary, and did an amazing job with those classic songs that you can't live without at your wedding. I can't tell you how many guests commented on their performance or how many people I've referred since to hiring After 8. They created a genuinely fun atmosphere at our reception-so much so, that no one wanted it to end. They are are true professionals, but also a fun, lighthearted, and EXTREMELY TALENTED group. We knew that After 8 would be good. Very good. But, we didn't realize just how GREAT they would be when we hired them for our daughter, Michelle's, wedding. From start to finish they rocked! Their rendition of Magic by Coldplay as the couple's first song was so spot on that it was almost shocking. And, their vocals were incredible all night. Horn section? Darn right! Great rhythm section? Oh yeah! And, they truly looked like they were enjoying themselves as they interacted with our guests. There were many things that were great about this wedding according to our guests. And, they all named the band at or near the top of their lists!

After 8 literally made our wedding. I cannot even count the number of people who came up to me after and said how amazing our band was. They were perfect-- no one got off the dance floor all night! Also, my husband and I threw them for a loop with our chosen first song and they made such an effort to learn it, and ended up playing it perfectly. They were wonderful to work with. They also played a guitar during our ceremony which was lovely and not much more expensive. I have nothing bad to say. Still glowing from how fun they made our night.

After 8 is everything you want in a band! Not your stereotypical wedding band, they are young and funky! They have a very extensive list of songs they play, covering almost every genre, and they will learn two songs you request! They are so much fun and really know how to get the crowd dancing! We had so many people comment on how great they were. They were very easy to work with and extremely responsive to request. It was nice that they worked directly with the venue so I didn't have to worry about the nitty-gritty details. Our space was a little small but they were very accommodating and flexible and made it work seamlessly. I would definitely recommend them and I wish I had other parties I could hire them for!!!

After watching a ton of videos and seeing as many bands as possible live, we decided to go with After 8. They played a great set list and kept everyone dancing all night! They also let one of my cousins - a huge drum player - join them to play for a song. After 8 was great!!

As the Mother of the Bride, I can not say enough about how I LOVED this band. They were extremely professional but most of all they provided the best evening for our guests. They played such a variety of music that everyone enjoyed themselves and found music to dance to. They seemed to have that magic touch in keeping things on schedule and moving along while not seeming to be overly orchestrated. The talent was over the top and all members of the band were fantastic to listen to. I would recommend them to anyone.

They are so energetic and their voices are fabulous. The horn section is a nice touch. They had everyone dancing. They are worth every penny. My fiance' and I started planning our wedding two years ago and determined very quickly that music was one of the most important aspects of our wedding. We asked around our other wedding vendors, friends, and general wedding enthusiasts for their recommendations and After 8 was always at the top of the list. We love After 8's diverse playlist, their professionalism, amazing sound...they are the total package. They were incredibly accommodating of our requests. I cannot say enough great things about them. Last thing I should mention--- they were a crowd favorite. They got our guests to dance and stay on the dance floor all night!

It's hard to put into words just how wonderful After8 was. Every age group was on the dance floor the entire night. My husband and I stopped at one point just to take that scene in. They interacted with our guests. They made sure to include everything I requested and played as if they were playing for friends. They actually brought my husband and I up on stage for our favorite song, and it was the most memorable part of the evening. A band was my number one priority for this wedding because they can make or break a reception and they definitely made it. They were also extremely easy to contact and work with. If you get a chance, go check them out for yourself. You won't be sorry.

What a great band! They played most of the music that my husband and I requested, they kept the crowd on their feet as soon as we started towards the dance floor, and all of our guests commented on what a great band! The singers have great voices, the band had a wonderful full sound, and they were reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend them to a friend.

terrific musicians, fab horn section, however difficulty contacting band to finalize music selections and was told band will play bands choices even though a music list was provided to bride. Band played 4 of bride selected song including the brides/groom, bride/father & groom/mom dance. ipod was used for a few songs selected, again, however, the rest of the music was not exactly what we expected and band should have played more danceable music.

After 8 was great! They got the party started and kept it going throughout the night! Everyone has said how great they were and I agree! My father commented, "the band was worth every penny!" I look forward to seeing their shows in the BR area again soon and at other wedding hopefully! Russ was so helpful throughout the whole process and made sure that everything was taken care of. I even hired their trumpet player, John, for my ceremony music!

Choosing the band was one of the most important parts of the wedding to me, and I had extremely high expectations for After 8. However, they were absolutely amazing and more than exceeded my expectations! They were very easy to work with prior to the wedding, and the band leader Russ was extremely responsive to all of my emails and questions. He even helped us edit our first dance song and was a terrific MC. The band has two lead vocalists, a guy and a girl, and they were both fantastic! Our guests were up and dancing all night long, and we are still hearing rave reviews about them from our family and friends. I would recommend them to everyone I know!

We booked After8 based on reviews from the knot and YouTube clips of their performance from their website. I had a few chats with Russ Bryant, during the 16 months of my engagement. I tend to be a bit OCD about things so I was a bit skeptical about the band due to the little interaction. I am happy to say that any reservations I did have were all for nothing. The band was GREAT, they played all the songs we wanted, and learned a few songs that were special to us. We provided them an iPod for breaks with a preloaded playlist. They have a wide range of instruments and the vocalists were great! They played all sorts of music and had everyone on the dance floor (even those who never dance!). My husband and I couldn't have been more pleased, and we even overhead people say they were the best band at a wedding they had ever heard.

We had the BEST experience with After 8 Band. Russ was so quick to respond to all my nervous bridal emails and was so helpful. On the big day, Lori and the rest of the band were absolutely fantastic. They had everyone at the wedding dancing and played all of the songs that I had asked for. They have so much crowd energy and really sound amazing. After 8 performed at our January 19, 2014 wedding. Our wedding planners recommended them and we sure are glad they did. They were incredible. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how much they loved our band- they really got our party started. After 8 actually had a call for an encore from our guests after they finished their last song. I never thought I'd see a call for an encore at a wedding but it was highly deserved. They complied with our request and played one more song that kept all 190 of our guests dancing, singing, and smiling. Highly recommend this band.

After 8 played at my daughter's wedding on Aug 24, 2013, at Scottish Rite Temple, in Shreveport, LA. Unfortunately, the A/C went out that day and it was miserably hot. However, they pumped up the crowd and made the reception a blast. They play exactly what you ask-very crowd friendly-they are AMAZING!!! Could not have been more pleased!! I had never heard After 8 play before I hired them, but the band was in my top 3 important vendors and I couldn't have made a more perfect decision. They are HOT! They made my reception thebomb.com. Seriously! So high energy and let us sing on stage (probably could have turned my mic off:)and took photos during the reception to remember such a FUN time! They only took one break during the (3) hours, so kept the dancefloor rocking. HIGHLY recommend! Hope they are still around for my 25th anniversary, cause we'll be bringing them back!

Working with Russ in coordinating After 8 to play at my daughter's wedding was a breeze. He is professional, on top of things and very quick to respond to any inquiries. So before the wedding I was already pleased with the decision. Then came the reception and my decision was reinforced further. The quality of the music, song choices, interaction with the wedding guests, etc completely met and exceeded our expectations. I recommend them and would use them again.

LOVED After8!!! They sounded great and they were able to get everyone at the reception up and dancing! Very interactive with the crowd and I loved that they listened to our music preferences, learned some new songs for us and played/sang exactly the type of music we love. I can't recommend them highly enough!

After 8 was amazing. People that went to the wedding are still talking about how good they were. All age ranges loved the band....from my grandparents to my teenage cousins. They had a great set up and also a new additional singer. The music, quality of the musicians, and their set up was awesome. They played a great variety of music and could even play current songs really well. They were worth every penny and I would recommend them for anyone looking to have a great band for their wedding.

After8 MADE my wedding!! They were so awesome! All of my guests kept telling me how much they loved the band. They were so nice and very professional. I would recommend them for any occasion but especially for a wedding :)

I could not have picked a better band for my wedding. Everyone in the band was friendly and had great energy. They played everything from Black Eyed Peas to Etta James. I enjoyed having a good mix of music. They really kept the crowd going. The band took two breaks and did not require a private break room. During the two breaks they played modern music so the party kept going. I would recommend them to anyone.

They made the night perfect!! From the romantic saxophone at my ceremony to the nonstop dancing on the dance floor! They were all we wanted and more! They exceeded every expectation I could have ever had! We had the best night ever and everyone knows the band is what makes or breaks the party!! I can't thank them enough for such a perfect night! All of our vendors were perfect!! Such a wonderful occasion! Thank you After 8! And thank you for letting all of our friends on stage too! Too much fun!!

After8 did an aboslutely great job at our wedding. They had wonderful song choices and kept the party upbeat and fun all night long. The band even played longer than they contractually had to. They also did a great job learning our first dance song. Everyone was easy and fun to work with throughout the process. I would absolutely recommend After8 for any other wedding or fun event.
