Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this makeup vendor for a wedding.
We had booked the vendor with the understanding that two makeup artists would arrive to provide our services, ...
but neither of the scheduled artists showed up. We were left waiting and without the services we had carefully planned and paid for on one of the most important days of our lives.
Approximately two hours later, the studio sent a backup makeup artist, who was wonderful and did a great job under very difficult circumstances. However, she had not been provided with any of the information, photos, or details from our makeup trials, which meant we had to start from scratch despite having already completed and paid for trials beforehand.
Our biggest concerns were not only the failure of both scheduled artists to show up, but also the lack of communication and explanation regarding what happened. We were never given a clear explanation for why neither artist arrived. On top of that, we do not feel that we received a fair refund for the services that were not provided.
While we truly appreciate the backup artist who stepped in and did her best to help us, the overall experience was extremely stressful and disappointing. Wedding days are already stressful enough, and having our makeup plans fall apart because the contracted artists did not show up added unnecessary anxiety to an already important day.
Based on our experience, we would not recommend this vendor for a wedding. If you are considering booking them, we strongly encourage you to ask detailed questions about backup plans, communication, and what happens if your scheduled artists are unable to show up.

y to talk to. They truly take concerns and opinions into account when they are working on your makeup and hair. Thank you ladies for everything! :)
Jordan and Kelsey are amazing and helped make my wedding day perfect!!! They are so talented and just helped set the tone for the best day ever!

could tell they were a newer business, but the professionals working for them were clearly talented. Upon my first outreach they were friendly, and it truly sealed the deal when I went for my hair and makeup trial. Katie and Kelsey were so so lovely to work with. Kind, down to earth, calm, and funny, they were the perfect duo for my group. As someone who is very picky about their makeup, Katie absolutely nailed my vision on the first try. Kelsey understood my classic but voluminous hair inspiration immediately. I had several people in my bridal party who had previously disappointing experience with their hair and makeup, and some who had never had theirs professionally done. Once they left Katie and Kelsey's chairs, they were SO happy with how they looked and how their hair and makeup kept all evening. From women in their 20's to their 50's, their hair and makeup were FABULOUS. I myself was over the moon with my hair and makeup. If I ever need hair and makeup on the west side of Michigan, I will ABSOLUTELY be giving Afterglo Studio a call. Thank you for making us all look beautiful on my wedding day!

course, did wonderful jobs with our hair and makeup. The makeup Jordan did on all of us was natural, yet glam and really didn't feel like you were wearing makeup even though it lasted ALL DAY! Sydney did beautiful updos on all my bridemaids and put in all my clip in extensions and she was quick, yet made sure everything was set. My fine hair did not move! Once again, highly recommend the ladies at Afterglo studio for hair and makeup glam!
Katie and Kelsey were awesome! They did such a great job and kept things fun! If you are wanting an awesome fun duo, look no further!!!! 10/10

elf and everyone else who had their hair and makeup done were very happy with the end product! My skin didn’t look cakey at all and they both nailed the look I was going for.
Not only are Jordan and Sam extremely talented, they are also kind and accommodating people. It was so nice sitting and chatting with both of them for my trial and on my wedding day. When I sat down in Jordan’s chair to get my makeup done, it felt like catching up with an old friend. If I didn’t live on the other side of Michigan, I would DEFINITELY want to be friends with them. 😂 They truly are nice, talented people and I am so happy I booked them. They were definitely my favorite vendor to have and work with for our wedding. Thank you Jordan & Sam! <3
P.S. the look held up all night and they even supplied a cute touch up kit for everyone!

I chose Jordan with AfterGlo for my wedding day bridal makeup. Her social media and makeup style really stood out to me in my search for a makeup artist. From the very first conver...
sation, Jordan was so enthusiastic, personable and professional. She was always very quick to respond with any questions I had.
During my first makeup trial, Jordan was diligent about asking me my own specific preferences and talking through what I wanted to look and feel like as a bride on my wedding day. She was a great listener, and it showed through the makeup application. I decided I wanted to do a second makeup trial with a different style and Jordan was very positive about me coming back for a second round.
In person, she makes you feel so comfortable and is a great conversationalist. I always left her chair feeling like she was my biggest hype girl. I really appreciated how proud she was of her work and how much care she put into making you feel your best.
Jordan was very professional, always on time, and always prepared. She was flexible with adjusting headcounts and kept me in the loop about timeline and how many people she was capable of doing in a specific timeframe. I also appreciated that she was prepared to bring on an additional artist if that would make me, as the bride, feel more comfortable timeline wise.
Jordan was also a joy to have around in the bridal suite the day of the wedding. Her bubbly personality really fits in well with what you'd expect the atmosphere to feel like on your wedding day. No pressure, just lighthearted, kindness and care. She catered to each bridesmaid/mother for their own specific style and made everyone feel welcomed. My bridal party had all great things to say about her and her work.
If you want to feel like the most beautiful bride inside and out, I recommend choosing Jordan.

Jordan did my makeup for my wedding and absolutely blew me away! She was so kind, personable, always responded quickly, and was very accommodating with any changes!

oint even having to switch locations mid doing our makeup. She made me feel so calm and truly made my vision come to life! At one point our energy was dying, so she blasted her own music! Everyone in our group felt so beautiful and so comfortable when picking the amount of makeup to wear! She was quick and did everything with precision!
One thing I want to note is how well she does with family. My mom never wears makeup, and was pretty against anything outside of mascara. Jordan walked her through each step, and my mom ended up telling me she felt so beautiful that day! My mom never pampers herself, and Jordan gave her the full treatment! She was kind to her and patient, which I was concerned about.
I highly recommend working with Jordan for makeup for any event!
