Book. With. Agnes. Do it now!! Agnes and her team catered our wedding for 155 guests - family style, in Sept 2024. I have a vivid memory of looking across the table and seeing my f...
riend SLURP the short rib broth from the bowl towards the end of the meal bc it was THAT GOOD. People came up to us from the very start of the day - passed hors d'oeuvres - to the dinner/dessert - to the late night snacks - raving about the food. AT. A. WEDDING.
Agnes was such a pleasure to work with - she invited us to her home for the menu tasting, helped us order all necessary place settings/kitchen supplies, and provided expert advice and opinion on bar needs.
She is the best! I hope to be able to throw another epic part again so we can work with Agnes and her team.
Thank you Agnes!!!!!
Agnes is an amazing cook and crafted the most delicious wedding menu for our 115 guests. I don't understand how you make individual plates of duck, salmon (plus a vegan and gf opti...
on) for that many guests, but they all came out perfectly. The initial tasting was one of our favorite parts of wedding planning! She offered many main and service-style options. Agnes was great to work with--highly communicative and well-versed in the travels and travails of catering. She provided her own (great) staff and we/the venue provided the kitchen and some waiter items, though Agnes helped us find rentals.
Agnes used to own the Village Tea Room in New Paltz, so I was familiar with her food. We contacted her for a tasting, and we were one and done. Didn't need to look anywhere else. T...
he hardest part was deciding which entrees to include since they all looked so good! We chose her Sour Cherry Beef Brisket and the Apple Cider Pork Shoulder. Everyone raved over it. Our two sides were the mashed potatoes and the English Peas...I had people tell me how much they hated peas, but they ate all of hers! The charcuterie spread for the cocktail hour was so good, the bride was lucky to get a single bite thanks to her sister. The best thing was everything was sourced locally so we could show off our lovely area to our guests who had come from out of state. Agnes is also famous for her Bee Cake, but she does others wonderfully as well. We went with 3 small cakes: The Bee Cake, a lemon curd cake and Japanese style Strawberry Short Cake (bride's request which was spot-on). Service was excellent. Everyone was so kind. I'd give 10 stars if possible.
We have nothing short of complete gratitude and admiration for Agnes. It took us a long time to find the right caterer for our Catskills wedding, and we knew right away from our fi...
rst email exchange with Agnes that we wanted to work with her. Agnes is a true culinary artist — her stunning bee cakes are a prime example — and every single dish we tasted was delicious and beautifully presented. We've gotten countless compliments on the food from guests after the wedding, variations of "the best food that I ever have had at such an event." She was also very accommodating of one-off guest dietary restrictions and instrumental in coordinating rentals. We had complete confidence and trust in Agnes and feel so lucky that her team was part of our day.
Perfection!!! Everyone is still talking about how absolutely delicious the food was. From the appetizers to desserts, so yummy! Agnes helped us coordinate all of our rentals as wel...
l which was such a help, she made sure we didn't forget anything! Her staff also really helped us with set up and clean up. I can't recommend her highly enough!!!!
Agnes and her team are amazing to work with. She made our day sooo special. Her food was incredible, from the citrus salad to the meats to the side dishes (omg the polenta), and th...
e desserts were out of this world!!! (We can't believe how quickly the desserts disappeared in the hands of our guests.) She is one of the few caterers who really cares about the ingredients she's using, whose home is stocked with pickled ingredients and preserves that she makes and uses throughout the year. And the flavors in her food are unmatched as a result -- you can taste the care and ingredient quality in every dish. Our families are self-proclaimed major food snobs and they came over to us to rave about the food and ask who our caterer is. On top of all that, the service was incredible and everyone was so professional and kind. Anyone who gets to work with Agnes is truly lucky!!
It is with much appreciation that I thank Agnes and her staff for all of their hard work for my daughters wedding at the Farm at Pond Lily! Agnes answered each and every phone call...

Agnes is a wonderful person to deal with because she really cares about the event and the people involved. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Agnes and the Village Tea Room!

dding was seamless! The rehearsal dinner and wedding dinner was beyond delicious and guests were raving about the family style meal. Absolutely recommending the VT to everyone!
Wow! The Village Tea Room exceeded our expectations. The food was DELICIOUS, the tables were set up beautifully, and the staff were friendly. Agnes, the owner, was simply amazin...
g. She definitely went the extra mile to make our wedding perfectly as we wanted it. We are so happy that we chose to use the VTR for our barn wedding replete with farmhouse tables, vintage china, and family-style service. All of the food and beer was locally sourced. The cake was fabulous.
Our cake was delicious and beautiful. Agnes was wonderful to work with and she worked with us to create a tasty combination of both of our favorite cake flavors.
Agnes made the desserts for our wedding at Liberty View Farm. Because we were having a farm wedding in the fall, we wanted to serve pie for dessert instead of traditional wedding c...
ake. Agnes made the most gorgeous pies for us - 6 different kinds: shaker lemon, apple, blubbery, pecan, pumpkin, peach. We also decided to order one small cake - Agnes' unique, beautiful and delicious honey bee cake.
The desserts at our wedding were DEVOURED! We ordered more than recommended and guests gobbled up every last bite. People are still talking about how much they enjoyed the pies and honey bee cake. Seriously delicious.
Added bonus, the pies and honey bee cake made a beautiful dessert display. The pictures are gorgeous! I get hungry every time I look at them :)
Agnes and her staff made my wedding a truly special event. The food was top notch. My guests are still raving about it, some 2 weeks later. The smoked salmon hors d'oeuvre was t...
