AH Specialties went above and beyond for my wife and her bridesmaids. They made sure everyone looked beautiful. We had children as young as 7, all the way up to my mother-in-law in her 70s. Allison was meticulous in everything she put on each girl, which made them all look wonderful and flawless! Each girl really felt special, pretty, and loved.

AH Specialities did an amazing job on me (the bride), my bridesmaids, and my mom for the day of the wedding. They are experienced and know exactly what they are doing! I felt like a princess. They really do a great job consulting you to make sure that you are on the same page as them. For example, a light contour to me might be different than a light contour to you! They know this and really dig into what you’re looking for for your big day. Cant recommend enough!

I love Alison & her team!!! I met her as a bridesmaid a few years ago and there was no question when I got engaged who I wanted to use for my big day. She was the first contract I signed and I have no regrets about using this team. Alison is a professional and so talented but she is also personal and caring to each of her clients. She answered all my questions about pricing and timelines. My bridal trial was so fun and she did everything I asked her to do. The wedding day was flawless. Highly recommend Allison, Lauren and Karley with AH Specialties. Allison communicated well leading up to the wedding and accommodated our every need with our trial and bridal portraits. On the day of the wedding they all arrived on time and stayed on schedule while doing everyone’s hair and make -up. They did various styles of updos, high pony and half up. They were attentive to the wants/needs of each bridesmaid and worked until all were 100% satisfied. I would definitely use them again in the future.

The BEST Hair and Make Up team for our wedding! Karley was absolutely amazing and made my hair and make up even more beautiful than I could have imagined. The rest of the team was so talented as well and all 8 of us loved our hair and make up. They have the perfect way of making natural even more beautiful. They are so friendly and fun and made the morning of my wedding great, The trial was the perfect way to see what i liked as well. Would absolutely recommend them!

AH Specialties was wonderful! From the trial run, where Allison took suggestions from the bride and implemented beautifully on the "day of", to working their magic on wedding day by providing hair and make-up for the bridal party of 14, timed perfectly. We loved that they made us feel beautiful, yet still natural looking. Everyone loved the way AH made them feel on the magical wedding day! They were easy to communicate and coordinate with, not to mention, beautiful women to work with, inside and out! 10/10 recommend!!

AH specialties did an amazing job on my daughter’s Bridal party for hair and makeup! They had two artists come for a party of 6 ladies. They were so sincerely accommodating to make sure we all liked our hair and makeup! I would highly recommend using them!

Allison and her team were a dream to work with. Allison and her team were absolutely amazing!! I had 1 trial and then had Allison so my hair for bridals and both times I LOVED the way that my hair turned out. She was so personable and easy to get a long with, which was one of the main reasons that solidified my decision to have her do my hair for my wedding day. On the day of the wedding, Allison and her team knocked it out of the park with every hair style they did for my bridesmaids, mother of the bride, and mother of the groom. I used AH Specialties for hair/makeup for my July 30th wedding. Allison and her team are fantastic! They are so kind and really strive to make sure your vision is achieved. Communication was excellent, which I really appreciated considering planning a wedding has so many moving parts. My entire bridal party and I all received at least one of their services. Karley did my hair and makeup, and I couldn't have been more pleased with the results. Both were flawless. I cannot recommend AH Specialties enough!

Allison was very sweet and got to me on the schedule with short notice for my engagement shoot. I also really enjoyed my artist, Reagan and we had a great chat while getting my makeup done. Unfortunately the makeup application was very heavy and dated. I showed her a very detailed video on the type of application I was looking for and she said she did not have the tools available to achieve that look. In retrospect, I should have just walked away at that point. Though I was not happy when I left, I had to get to a hair appointment so there was no time to fix anything. Within 2 hours my pores were blowing up because they were absolutely suffocated. The blush and bronzer placement was very 2012-2015. In the sneak peek photos from the photographer I look like I'm wearing a mask. We may have to scrap the entire shoot which means I will not be able to do the photo guestbook I was planning on.

Very glad I hired Allison Hughes and her ladies to take care of my bridesmaids and mother of the groom! Everyone looked so beautiful and had so much fun getting pampered. The airbrush makeup looks amazing. Allison and her ladies arrived early and stayed on-time the whole morning. My friend who was officiating accidentally left her makeup bag at home, and Allison even worked her into the schedule! That was so nice of her, considering my friend's makeup was not one of the contracted services. I felt their pricing is very reasonable, especially with mileage. Would definitely recommend!

I hired AH Specialties for my wedding and I was absolutely thrilled by the results. They were a vendor referral from my venue Balmorhea, and I completely understand why they are a preferred vendor. Victoria was my main stylist and she encompassed everything I wanted and imagined in makeup and hair for my wedding. She was open to my feedback if I wanted to change anything too (but she nailed it the first time and nothing needed to be changed). All of my bridesmaids plus my mom, mother-in-law, and the two grandmothers there also had their makeup and hair done by the team that came to my venue, and they all absolutely loved their looks. We had Meagan, Lauren, and Reagan there in addition to Victoria and they were all super sweet, talented, punctual, and efficient. I would absolutely hire them again in an instant.

I hired Allison and her team after seeing them at Magnolia Bells Open house and it was hands down the best decision I made! From my bridal portraits (bridal trail) to the day of hair and makeup were all perfect!! I’m usually not the type to wear a lot of makeup or wear heavy makeup and Allison did a phenomenal job at making my look very natural and making me feel beautiful. All of my bridal party and family were also very pleased! Her Team is also so friendly and sweet. Any brides looking for hair and makeup, hire Allison you won’t regret it!!

Yes. Yes. Yes. AH Specialities will be the only team I recommend for wedding day hair and makeup. In fact, it'll be the only team I use if I need hair and makeup for any event in the future. Working with Allison for initial inquiry and all contract and coordination pieces was a breeze. Her artists Victoria and Robbie were hands-down THE BEST for all of the wedding party hair and makeup. They were fun, professional and did amazing work! Every member of the wedding party loved what they did, and we all received comments from guests throughout the evening. The best part, our hair and makeup stayed fresh looking all through the outdoor ceremony and even after of evening of dancing it up at the reception!

Allison and Lauren did the hair and makeup for my wedding on February 25, 2022 and what can I say other than they did phenomenal job! I got married at The Farmhouse in Montgomery, TX so I frequently saw other brides leaving vendor reviews on The Farmhouse Brides page on Facebook. After seeing various reviews/pictures of Allison’s work, I knew I needed her for the big day. Not only does Allison and her team delivery in provide a more natural makeup option for brides/bridesmaids that don’t traditionally wear makeup, she is one of the sweetest and most accommodating people ever to work with. The day of my wedding , she didn’t hesitate or bat an eyelash when I told her I needed to change my hairstyle due to my chonric migraines. I’ll forever be grateful to Allison and her team on the big day and the trial leading up to it. So brides, set up your trial with her and pick her for your hair and makeup—you won’t be disappointed.

Allison, Robi, and Lauren are AMAZING!! I had to put together a wedding in less than a week due to family health circumstances and Allison was so generous and willing to help make sure I was able to get my hair and makeup done. They went above and beyond their services and not only did my hair and makeup as the bride, but they also did hair and makeup on my MIL, my mother, and grandmother. These ladies are SO wonderful and they will be my ONLY recommendation for hair and makeup for anything :) I wasn't able to get the normal bridal hair and makeup trial and yet they still knocked it out of the park!

Omg what can I say!!!! My wedding venue provided AHS for my girls and make up and let me just say how amazing Karley was!!!!! We bonded and all she cared about was making me happy and beautiful!! She did such an amazing job ! I highly recommend them!!! I will have to have Karley

Allison was amazing at answering the questions from both my mom and I had. I had Victoria as my head makeup artist and hair stylist and she was amazing. She listened to everything I wanted and understood exactly what I wanted. I had 9 bridesmaids and every single one of them loved their hair and makeup! I was so grateful! These ladies are FABULOUS! I skipped the bridal HMU trial, so I met them the day of and immediately felt like I've known them forever! They make it so fun, and not awkward at all! They're very open to your suggestions and will make corrections if needed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

When my amazing wedding planner first recommended AH Specialties, I was very excited based on her portfolio full of GORGEOUS make-up examples, but frankly a bit apprehensive: my bridesmaids consisted of many different ethnicities and skin tones. I had numerous bridesmaids tell me horror stories about previous weddings where their makeup tones did not match and it was obvious they were wearing lots of makeup. I went to my trial and was pleasantly surprised by Allison's reassuring demeanor and her skills! Wow, it was AWESOME! I knew she'd be good at her art, but I didn't realize how skilled she is - airbrushing was light and airy, there were no harsh lines, everything blended perfectly! The most important part, for me, was that I look like myself with some extra oomph! And Allison delivered! When wedding time rolled around, Allison and her team nailed the hair and make-up on each and every girl! Even my very picky mother and sister were very pleased with their makeup! I had each of my girls bring make-up inspiration for what they would look fabulous in and what they would be most comfortable in. AH Specialties exceeded expectations on every single one, I couldn't be happier with the results! I highly recommend AH Specialties, no matter how varied your bridal party may be!

Allison & team did a fantastic job on our big day! My main concern with the hair & makeup vendor was timing. I was so worried about us running behind schedule, but the AH team put my mind at ease. I absolutely love this team! They did my engagement photos, bridal portraits, and all of the females in my bridal party the day of my wedding. They were super accommodating even when my go-to hair stylist had a Covid scare and had to cancel on me at the last minute. Karley was my main stylist but the entire team is so talented and professional. Everyone's hair and makeup turned out lovely! I highly recommend!!

I’m am so lucky to have had AH Specialties and Victoria on my wedding day for hair and makeup for my bridal party and myself! As for me, Victoria has treated me like a princess since the moment I asked if I could hire her for my wedding. My trail went perfectly and allowed for the most beautiful bridal photos. Karley and Victoria are exceptional artists. They helped me and bridal party + family looking their absolutely best on why wedding day. I adore Karly for her professional skills. She was flexible when it comes to my last minute request. She ensured that I would be comfortable with my looks and I totally did. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the style she did with my hair. I wish I could attach pictures but they would not do enough justice for her amazing skills.
