Aiko Aiko Sound

I would not hire this company to DJ your wedding. We met with them prior to the wedding and we discussed how we wanted them to help guide the night. The DJ did not set a good mood and the music they chose was not our style. I guess if you want them then make sure to pick all the songs yourself. The DJ was blah and she does not seem like a DJ. Mostly just hid behind the computer and was not familiar with the songs we chose for the important dances. It was the worst part of our wedding.

Dean was so great!! He brought our ceremony and reception to life with the perfect music. He not only traveled all the way to Telluride from Durango, he lugged his equipment in a snowcat drawn sleigh up to our venue in heavy heavy snowfall! Absolutely amazing. The music was perfect for what we asked. Aiko Aiko sound was a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend them!! Thank you so much!!!!

Our DJ Alfredo arrived on time and was responsive to our guests song requests. Only complaint is that he went really fast through our cake cutting/first dance and a lot of guests were still outside/not present for it.

We planned our Telluride wedding from Austin, TX and working with Aiko Aiko was a total breeze. I am very particular about music, but our DJ, Alan B, had everything under control on the day-of. Thank you Aiko Sound! You guys rock!

If you're looking for an experienced DJ at an incredibly affordable cost, look no further! Dale and Dean are both professionals in the truest sense of the word. Dean was our wedding reception DJ, and he took care of absolutely everything that we needed. At one point when he was walking over to his DJ booth, my mom mistook him for the chef who was going around from table to table. Without any explanation, my mom approached Dean and made a fuss about a vegetarian plate that hadn't been served to a particular guest who requested it. Without any hesitation, Dean went to the kitchen and addressed the issue with the chef! When my mom came back to our table and we asked her why she was bothering the DJ, she was mortified--Dean's response to her was so fluid that she had no clue he wasn't the chef until we told her! She apologized to Dean, and of course we all had a good laugh about it. But my point is that Dean and Dale will go above and beyond to make you happy, because they're good people who care about your wedding (or other event). You can't go wrong with Aiko Aiko!

The DJ who came to our event was awesome. He helped the speeches and reception stay on track, played the right mix of music and the mic'ing for the ceremony worked perfect for our video. He worked right along side with our wedding planner and everything turned out great!

I used Aiko Aiko Sound for all of the music for my Telluride, CO wedding. In addition to being a great value (especially compared to other bids I received), Dale was incredibly responsive for the planning portion and Ben was a stellar DJ. I had one conference call with Ben prior to my wedding. He was the music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, drinks/dancing for the night, which was in three different locations (at the same resort). He did a great job of moving between spaces seemlessly. On our call prior to the wedding, I gave some rough guidelines on what I wanted to hear/not hear for each segment of the night. Ben did a great job interpreting and had one of the best cross sections of music for the 'drinks/dancing' portion of the night that I've ever heard at a wedding. I wanted to make sure that the music was upbeat but my parents/aunts/uncles/guests of all ages would still want to dance. He hit the nail on the head! The only advice I'd give another bride is to skip the uplighting...it's just colored, strobe-like lighting that I actually did not care for. Definitely not worth the expensive, but such a small piece of the total package.

We chose Aiko Aiko Sound after meeting with them at the Durango bridal expo. Our dj, Dean, was amazing! We talked to him about what we liked and wanted a few weeks before the wedding and he was so friendly and easy to work with. The company also has a great planning form online, so I could add songs as I thought of them. During our reception he kept things running smoothly and when it came time to dance we had a Huge party! Dean picked great songs everyone loved... In fact, we had most our guests out on the dance floor singing along to many of the numbers and dance we did! We would have kept the party going much longer if we had more time at our venue!

My husband and I really struggled with music. We really wanted a live band but couldn't find one in the area that fit our needs. We ended up going the DJ route and I am so happy we did! Ben was our DJ and he did such a good job! He incorporated everything we wanted and no one could get off the dance floor! We highly recommend these guys if you want to get down!

My friend used this company when she got married and I really liked them. So when my wedding came around I signed a contract with them too. We ended up with a different DJ than my friend, so maybe thats where the differences come from, but I wasn't as impressed with ours. His sound quality was great. We gave him a list before time of songs we wanted for special dances and just songs to play during the reception. He only had about half of the songs we wanted, which was a surprise because most of them were popular country songs. He said we could either give him the rest of the songs on a flash drive or he could buy them and we would have to reimburse him $1.50/song. That seems rediculous to me because once he buys them he can use them at any event he goes to so we shouldn't have to buy them for him. So we gave him most of the songs on a flash drive and asked him to buy the rest. He played the wrong song during the wedding procession and for the groom/mother dance. He didn't announce things like the garter and bouquet toss like he said he would. He also said he would have a small microphone for the preacher to wear on his shirt that would pick up the preacher, me, and the groom, but instead he set up a regular microphone on a stand. My groom and I weren't heard by the audience.

Dale with Aiko Aiko Sound did a really wonderful job with our ceremony music and reception. He kept the evening flowing, made adjustments and worked with the photographer to keep everything on time. Would highly recommend him!

Aiko Aiko Sound did all the music from the ceremony and the reception. The DJ was amazing and played a wide variety of music. He was professional and everyone had a really great time.

Aiko Aiko's Mike Jordan is an awesome DJ! Seriously!!! I was really stressed about music initially, thinking I had to choose all of the evenings songs. I eventually had a breakthrough- the DJ does that! We met with Mike a few days before the wedding and had a list of please play/please do not play. I think our meeting gave us a pretty good feel of each other, or he's just that good. He hit all, or at least most of our please play songs (which were just a few) and filled in the evening with music that everyone danced to. The best part was end of the evening. Mike had all of our guests surround us and explained that we were thrilled to share our special happy day with them, but down the road things might get tough and that we would need them for support and guidance. Then he played "Lean on Me" and we danced in the middle as our friends and family sang that song to us. It was so special! I'm tearing up now even. After that, he played Lyle Lovett's "I Love Everybody, Especially You" while everyone was hugging each other! Mike played a massive part in making our reception so special and memorable! I highly recommend him!

Dean was great to work with. He did a great job with the ceremony music and was very helpful when I was trying to choose what music to walk into. As for the reception, he read the crowd very well and kept the dance floor full from the first dance to the last. Dean was very helpful when he wasn't needed for playing music and he even had to tell me that my cake had fallen over due to the rain :). We had a blast throughout the entire evening and we couldn't have done it without him!

Everyone said they loved the music and the DJ was great. The only mix up was our first dance song. I thought I was specific in the email about the song and version of the song I wanted, but when we walked out to the dance floor and the music started...we looked at each other and then the DJ confused. It was some bad version or cover of our song by Dean Martin "You're Nobody 'til Somebody Loves You". It sort of threw off the entire dance we had practiced, but someone we got through it. In Dale's defence (the DJ) he did offer to make it right through remaining payment. That was the only complaint...although a big one. Still everyone had a blast dancing!

The DJ services by Aiko Aiko sound couldn't have been more perfect. Our DJ was Dale Garland, who also just happens to be one of my favorite persons. The music was right on for the crowd, and he definitely kept everyone dancing. The music for the ceremony was perfect, and he even found a way to work out the complications so that the song my cousin sang during out ceremony went smoothly. I would hire this vendor again without a hesitation!

Nick was a wonderful host and DJ, and did a great job choosing the music for the moods at the reception. They were very organized, and I didn't have to worry about a thing, which was wonderful!

We were in desperate need of a speaker to use for our ceremony and Aiko Aiko gave us a huge discount for renting theirs. Our dj showed up early to set up and then was on time. None of our guests are normally dancers, but somehow he managed to get a good chunk of them on the floor for most of the evening.

I loved the online planning forms for this DJ. They made everything so easy! They were on time, didn't charge extra for petty things and did a great job of running the reception. Definetly worth every penny!

I had worked on a music list for them for months, and they forot to bring it. The DJ did not have any of our music, and we spent alot of time answering to when we were planning on doing the next event.

We had Dean as our DJ and he was great! He was very easy to talk to and very flexible-- which I like.... I'm an 'ish' kind of person and he was very ok with not having a strict schedule! He listened to our request and accommodated us in every way. He really had a blast doing his job and it showed! It was also great because he told us that he had to be back to work at 6:30 monday morning and we had him until then if we wanted! Everyone had a blast and there was nonstop dancing from the moment we started!

Both Dale and Dean from Aiko Aiko Sound were awesome! Dale answered all my many questions through email and Dean called me a couple of nights before the wedding and discussed everything I expected. He was very helpful when I asked for advice and at the wedding itself, he was on time and played great music. Everyone was disappointed when the venue had us shut down for the night! The price was great in comparison to other DJs in the area and definitely worth every penny!
