It was important to us to not have our wedding day feel like a photo shoot, and not to have our photographers imposing on the experience of our guests, and somehow Aimee and her team were able to do just that while capturing the fun, joy, love, and beauty of our wedding day. Having recently been married herself, she brings not only an expert vendor perspective, but the perspective of the guests of honor. She and her team left no stone unturned to make us look and feel our best on our wedding day. From the little things, such as having a glass of water handy for us after our couples portraits and carrying my dress train so it didn’t drag to helping us find small moments of privacy and calm during the wedding, she truly goes above and beyond to capture the day while making everyone feel comfortable and fabulous. She was always available pre-wedding to walk through logistics, answer questions and provide advice, and has taken our questions, feedback, and edit requests in stride post-wedding. Our posed and candid wedding photos are truly perfect thanks to her and we’ve gotten so many compliments from family and friends about her work and her delightful presence on wedding day. ocess. Planning a wedding can be stressful & can create a lot of anxiety, and her consistent timeliness with responses to emails and questions really stood out to us. On our wedding day specifically, Aimee was an extremely friendly, fun, and calming presence. She has a unique ability to "direct" and "make things happen" while keeping everyone engaged, happy, and stress-free. Aimee did a great job of “blending in” when taking photos, and was able to capture a lot of great candid photos of our day - there was never pressure from anyone in the room to “look at the photographer.” As someone who feels truly awkward when their photo is taken or when asked to pose for a photo, Aimee did a great job at making my husband & me feel comfortable & relaxed throughout our couples portrait shoot, and the photos turned out GREAT! Everyone at our wedding was raving about Aimee - there’s gotta be something more than 5 stars for people like her!

he big day she helped keep us moving smoothly up to the ceremony and beyond. She felt more like a coordinator or part of the wedding party who also took amazing photos. She helped me apply my lipstick, find items that were scattered around the suite, and make sure we were all comfortable. She and her second shooter Nikolai (who was also amazing!) took care of both my husband and I, grabbing things for us and making sure we were settled throughout the day. Aimee even helped secure my headpiece when it had come loose with her stash of bobby pins (even though I had my bridal emergency kit at our table)! They also rolled with the punches when we had to make minor changes to the timeline for the venue to fix the missing cake stand and topper. We were able to have two couple sessions during the day and both were enjoyable and fun—both Nikolai and Aimee had fun suggestions for location and posing and were willing to work within our comfort levels. I only have my sneak peeks back (which she got to us early when we mentioned we were leaving on our honeymoon early morning the Tuesday after our Sunday wedding) but they are gorgeous and if that is what our rough photos look like, the finished products will be absolutely stunning. I cannot recommend Aimee more highly! 11/10, would marry again!

both self admittedly awkward in front of the camera and opted to do an engagement session to prep for the big day, Aimee was wonderful walking us through poses and making us feel comfortable doing what does NOT come naturally to us. On our wedding day Aimee and her team were on top of everything, and they were so kind and friendly we received multiple comments from our bridal party! Seeing all our photos afterwards we were reminded why we loved all of Aimee's work from the start, there is the perfect mix of the classic posed photos and so many of the little moments, that I didn't even realize she and her team were capturing at the time but have made for some of our favorite memories. From the second we sat down with her for our initial consultation Aimee put at us at ease and made the whole process simple and FUN. During our actual wedding, Aimee was a calming, productive, presence, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. From supplying me with bobby pins and tissues to finding the PERFECT light and setting or some golden-hour photos, Aimee and her second shooter Chris were absolutely instrumental in making our day perfect. In fact, when I look back on the day some of my favorite memories are from our photo sessions. Aimee has a knack for turning potentially awkward situations into incredibly fun ones, and as a kindred type-A spirit, she works incredibly hard to get the perfect shot in every location. And the PHOTOS! Where do I even begin! I knew Aimee would do a great job, but I was absoultely blown away by how incredible they turned out. She somehow managed to capture every happy emotion and detail from the day in the most gorgeous set of wedding photos I've ever seen. (I know I'm biased, but this has been backed up by my friends and family who agree!) I cannot recommend working with Aimee highly enough!

Aimee supported me in the visioning process, aided by her prompt and chipper communications, mapped out the best way to capture a pretty complex day (150-person bike ride through the streets of DC, 12 layers of surprise, a dark and crammed venue) and she corralled all of us cats with charm and ease. Her team's photos (AND VIDEO!) captured the stories and lost little moments that we, and our friends and family, will cherish for the rest of our lives. We left feeling relieved that we had the right photographer for us. Aimee proved us right time and time again. Not only was she available by email constantly, she also provided timely emails with helpful "how to" guides to demystify what to expect at each step of the process. My husband and I were both very anxious before our engagement session. We'd worked with Aimee to select a beautiful location (Union Market) and felt confident in what we'd selected to wear—We were ready—but we were so nervous! From the very first shot Aimee put us at ease. With Aimee's simple - but not overly scripted - instructions, we were naturally interacting and moving (and getting great shots)! It was a total success! Aimee was a complete pro - she knew exactly where she wanted us to go as we made our way around the Union Market neighborhood. When asked she immediately produced permits that we had no idea were even needed -- really put us at ease! We got our photos days after the session (which is absolutely amazing). Two days after the election, we wanted to do something to speak to our values and chose to legally get married. We let Aimee know, and she offered to "move hell or high water" to be there with us. Not only did we get even more great shots, but it was also comforting having a friend with us who knew how to navigate Moultrie Courthouse. In advance of our "official" wedding on March 25, 2017, we worked with Aimee to develop a day-of photography timeline that made sense for us and our families. She then handled coordinating with the day-of coordinator to keep all of our timelines aligned. On the big day, Aimee arrived early to the St. Regis and quickly got to work photographing our accessories, wedding party, and us as we got ready. Aimee took us to a fantastic location just a few blocks away from the hotel for cherry blossom shots that weren't scattered with tourists. When we got back to the hotel, we zipped through the family, wedding party, and group shots and then were zipped up to our suite as guests started to arrive. Throughout this entire period Aimee was a constant ally and advocate for us. She gently nudged us along to keep us on schedule and also insisted that we take the time we needed for things like lunch. I've never felt more accommodated yet directed at the same time. Based on the photos, Aimee and Kian (her second shooter) were everywhere during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and rehearsal. They beautifully captured each and every detail, from the place settings to our dances with our Moms. They even captured details that I don't remember seeing myself! It took just a few weeks to get our photos back, delivered via an online system that is easily shared with friends and family. You also get access to the full resolution images! Every time we look through our photos we find some new detail that makes us smile and laugh. My friends and family all rave about how sweet Aimee and Kian were and how great the photos turned out. We could not have asked for a better photographer. Aimee was professional, peppy, thorough, helpful, a great communicator, and she knows how to capture a beautiful moment.
