Ainahua Florals

Kelsi of Ainahua Florals was an absolute pleasure to work with! It’s difficult to discuss flowers over e-mail from a million miles away, but Kelsi always responded quickly and answered all of our questions, often providing photos. She was also very flexible despite some fairly last minute decisions on our part and some budget restraints, which was seriously appreciated! We would highly recommend her to anyone getting married on the Big Island!

I used Ainahua Florals for my recent 1/6/17 Kahua Ranch wedding. Prior to the event I was in regular contact with Kelsi whom I found to be amazingly helpful. The reviews that state returned contact wasn't quick are true, some email responses were about a week turn around time, however if you are organized and planning well in advance this is not an issue. I did not find it to be an issue as she was helpful and delightful to work with. When coming from the mainland it's important to remember, you're getting married in Hawaii for that laid back vibe stressing over email response times months out is not worth it in the big picture, things will get done. For the big day I ordered a bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, boutonnieres, bridal lei, groom lei, and lei's for our mothers and everything was AMAZING. I received so many compliments on all the florals, not to mention they smelled amazing. Kelsi allowed me to customize our mothers leis which were traditionally worn as head pieces and she also made a custom boutonniere for the groom. I am so pleased I went with Ainahua Florals and I found their prices to be extremely reasonable especially since our venue had some steep delivery fees from other vendors.

Everything about planning a destination was difficult. I am super picky and not being able to see florals definitely made me nervous. After a few emails and one phone call, we were able to come up with a nice vision. On my wedding day, I couldn't believe how everything turned out. It looked better than I imagined! The flowers were a little pricey but definitely worth it!

We used Ainahua Florals and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who is getting married on the Big Island. Our flower arrangement and specialty lei's were absolutely magnificent and couldn't have been any better. Kelsi and her team are so easy to work with and communicated with me from CA through the entire process. I can't say enough good things about this company and the amazing work they do! I can't wait to see how our wedding pictures turn out with all the flowers.

This was the recommended vendor with the resort where I had my wedding. I didn't like how her responses were not within 24 hours (you obviously know what type of person I am) and the prices were higher than other florists in the area. But I was encouraged to use them because they have insurance and they bring a team to set up. The result was beautiful but I'm just shocked at how much flowers are.

My hotel is swearing by Ainahua, and frankly they have the most beautiful floral arrangements I have seen, so I'm trusting my hotel to know what's best. Also, their prices are unbeatable. Hope the actual day is good....

We were so very pleased with our wedding florals. Kelsi made planning from afar very easy. There were times when we had to have patience with communication because we were not always promptly answered. But, everything came together nicely. Through photos she was able to identify flowers of our liking and create the perfect combination of light and dark coral and white orchids and roses. She worked with us to create simple, beautiful, yet elegant decorations. She was very accommodating and had a variety of different ideas and options to help make our dream become reality while sticking to our desired budget. It is a given that wedding florals are expensive. But, everything, from the wedding ceremony arch to the reception table decorations, came out just as expected. The bride and bridesmaids bouquets turned out perfectly. The groom and groomsmen boutonnieres were just what we wanted. The bride and groom leis were beautiful and elegant. All flowers and decorations were delivered on site and on time. Kelsi helped to make our wedding beautiful!

This florist was a preferred vendor of the resort's where our ceremony was to take place. The flowers were fresh, perfectly arranged, and better than envisioned. The scent of the magnolias used in my wedding bouquet were heavenly!

This florists did a great job when it came down to it, but my biggest issue is I couldn't even get a hold of her. I would have to wait weeks at times for a reply back via email. I also never got straight answers. I had to finally hand things over just to my coordinator and trust that it would get taken care of the way that I was envisioning. Up until the day of our wedding I still didn't have a clue what our centerpieces would look like because I never did get confirmation from the florist. It was pretty stressful and quite a headache, but low and behold the day of the flowers turned out great. Except for a few pieces. The mothers corsages were HUGE and the flower head band I ordered was atrocious. Even the photographer and makeup vendors thought it was horrible. It was so bad you could see the hot glue from where she tried to place the flowers on. Thankfully I bought a back up jeweled headband since I didn't receive confirmation that the florist was going to do the headpiece like I wanted.(I sent her probably a dozen or more emails with multiple photos of centerpieces, corsages, bouquets, head piece. You name it I sent a picture to ensure she and I were envisioning the same thing.) All in all the centerpieces turned out great, the bouquets were beautiful, and the corsages weren't horrible they were just gigantic.

I have never seen more beautiful flowers in my life - and, no, I'm not just saying that because it was my wedding! These flowers were completely gorgeous and so fresh. The florist has an extreme attention to detail that was very apparent in everything from the arch, centerpieces, to the bouquet, cake flowers, etc. Everything was beyond our expectations and we were so excited to see how beautiful it made our ceremony and reception. You will not be disappointed with your choice of Ainahua Florals!

I loved my bridal bouquet! Kelsi was helpful and very knowledgeable. The only criticism I would have was that it was slightly difficult to contact her, emails would take a week or more for a response. Overall I was happy with our arrangements and the price!

My flowers were absolutely beautiful and perfect. I just mentioned what kind of colors I liked and they handled everything. The only reason that they did not receive 5 stars is because they handle almost every event on the Big Island and appear to be short staffed in terms of responding to emails or phone calls in a timely manner.

Working on the details of your wedding long distance can be stressful, but I was not disappointed in the least by the floral work by Ainahua. I chose my bouquet, MOH bouquet, and all maile via pictures on the internet and worried a little about how true to the photos they would be...they were right on! I was so happy with the colors and the service. They delivered the exact order right on time to my room, had my hair florals waiting in the salon, and the cake was decorated with florals that matched my bouquet. I don't know why I ever worried!!

I used this vendor at my recent wedding at the Fairmont Orchid in Hawaii. However I live in Canada so had to do all the choices of flowers and colours by email. Kelsi made this seamless, she was easy to work with and did her best to choose flowers based on the pictures I showed her. I used a lot of examples from their Facebook site to make things easy. And the flowers turned out perfectly pretty much as I had imagined. They were beautiful and tropical and romantic. We had centrepieces, boutonnieres, corsages, a welcome table arrangement, leis for the ceremony and cocktail table arrangements. They were all great and we kept a few vases as they don't do rentals. The only small negative I had is that the boutonnieres were a bit big for my liking and the grooms wasn't any different from the best man and fathers. However they contrasted well with their beige tuxedos.

Kelsi was brilliant to deal with. We had all orchids and the colours were amazing. We did request to have them tied with leaves which did tear after the ceremony so I would maybe just request ribbon instead. We planned the wedding from overseas and I came by the store and visited Tootsie who took one look at me and my dress and worked the colours with everything beautifully. Her creative eye is amazing. All deliveries were prompt as well.Great vendor

They were pretty busy it seemed right before our wedding so I was a little nervous about everything working out but the bouquets were absolutely perfect. Kelsi had listened to everything I had said and truly put together some amazing bouquets and arrangements. The table was perfect as well. She did an outstanding job. It was a great job and I would hire them again!

Kelsi talked to me once on the phone then after only a couple of emails she created something beyond what I couldve ever envisioned. The moment my bouquet was delivered to my room is a moment I will never forget; I was overwhelmed at the beauty. Our leis were full of fragrance that everyone could smell during the wedding everytime there was a light breeze. Kelsi was also very good at working within my budget without having to exclude any floral item I really wanted. I highly recommend her!

Ainahua florals did my bouquet, the cake decoration and some of the venue decoration. Everything they did was beautiful and they were so easy to work with. I planned everything long distance and through email and it came out exactly how i wanted it.
