Ainsworth House & Gardens

I couldn't recommend Ainsworth enough! They were super helpful in organizing our wedding, and kept everything running smoothly the day of. They go above and beyond to make sure your wedding is as stress free as possible. Our day of coordinator Jocelyn was excellent. She was attentive, quick to respond to emails, and very passionate. If you go with Ainsworth then you're in good hands.

I have nothing but great things to say about my brunch wedding at the Ainsworth House and Garden this past March! It is truly a magical place and we had such an amazing experience from beginning to end. The bridal and groom suite, reception hall and grounds are immaculately maintained and you can tell that this whole place is truly a labor of love. The new owners have done amazing work to continue to modernize the look and feel of the main wedding hall, adding in fresh chairs, a beautiful fireplace, new floors and lighting fixtures. Additionally, the wedding packages are both affordable and full service. They also included a list of preferred vendors, which was so helpful for our planning purposes and saved me a lot of time and energy knowing that the wedding venue recommended them. The option to use their centerpieces, tables and chairs, tablecloths and napkins, etc. was so helpful and saved us a ton of money. Additionally, they include two meetings with their fabulous wedding coordinator Jocelyn. Jocelyn was such a blessing. She helped us plan everything at the venue down to a tee, answered all of my questions in person and via email (and even offered to let me text her if I had last minute questions before the wedding. You can tell that Jocelyn loves her job and her excitement is both authentic and infectious. She also supported us as the day of coordinator and ensured that everything went off without a hitch and that we stayed on schedule. My only suggestions for improvement are checking on the indoor speakers, as the audio wasn’t amazing. It was also very echoey with 100 people in the reception hall and it may be worth investing in some acoustic foam panels. Additionally, it would be nice if there was water in the bridal and groom suites. All this being said, I cannot recommend Ainsworth House & Gardens enough! Thank you for making our wedding perfect!

The facility was absolutely beautiful and had everything we needed! It was just magical!

This was a beautiful setting for a wedding, which was close to Portland , but not in Portland. They have 5 acres of gardens that have beautiful flowers and the venue had an option for either outdoor or indoor wedding. The owners and wedding coordinator were very helpful and Pleasant to work with and made our wedding day extra special. I would definitely recommend Ainsworth House Gardens for your wedding.

This review is for both Ainsworth House & Gardens, and for our amazing day-of coordinator Jocelyn. The venue is incredibly beautiful and they made the process as painless and easy as I think is possible when planning a wedding. I booked with Ainsworth before the new owners took over, but the transition seemed at least to me to be pretty seamless. The updates the new owners have made so far are very nice; I'm hoping they just make sure to keep the old-school charm that comes with this property as they continue to make changes. There is not enough that can be said about Jocelyn, and if you are able to get her as your coordinator you will be extremely lucky! She was kind, personable and responsive, and on the day she addressed absolutely everything I needed, often before I even thought about needing it.

I cannot speak highly enough about our experience having our wedding at Ainsworth House and Gardens! Laurie was our day of coordinator and she was amazing. The whole property is gorgeous and all our guests were so in love with the whole event. All the staff was friendly and wonderful! When you book your wedding with them (for a pretty fair price I think) they give you a great list of recommended vendors. We selected most of our vendors off this list and Laurie worked and communicated with them, making sure everyone was on the same page. The bridal and groom suites are great! Really, the whole wedding was borderline perfect! Thanks Laurie and AH&G staff!

Stunning venue! We booked the venue for 7 hours and it was the perfect amount of time! The team was very communicative and made sure our day ran smoothly! The owners of the venue did change before our wedding day, but the new owners are in the process of making amazing renovations! We had the perfect day!

The garden was beautiful, we had a wonderful wedding, all their recommended vendors did a good job. There is new management from January, but it didn't affect our experience at all/they seem to be continuing similarly to the previous management.

We had our wedding here a couple days ago. It is a beautiful place! Everyone who came here walked the grounds before and after the ceremony, exclaiming about the special touches everywhere. Nice big reception room. Good value. The owners are new and did a great job.

When we went way back in April of last year to see the venue we feel in love with it. Kevin was so helpful and gave us so much great information for us to use when we went to other places. Which helped us know what to ask and sealed the deal for Ainsworth house. The price was great. They provided some extras that made it even better. Joslyn the wedding coordinator that is included in your price by the way was sooooooo amazing!!! She helped me through my mom freak outs and was wonderful to work with. She is fun and helped us get just what we wanted for our daughters wedding. I can't say enough about how positive our experience was.

The venue was absolutely beautiful and the perfect space for our small wedding. So many of our guests asked how we came across the venue and were truly amazed by how quaint and lovely the space was. It was especially ideal for us since our wedding was late in the year; the flexibility of indoor/outdoor spaces was great.

We had our wedding a couple of days ago at Ainsworth House and Gardens. We can't recommend them enough! From the very beginning, the Ainsworth team was so welcoming and easy to work with. Laurie, our wonderful coordinator, was on top of every planning detail, very professional, and made our day run so smoothly. Not only are the people great, but the location is stunning! Beautiful historical details, gorgeous grounds (even after a huge rain and windstorm the day before our wedding), serene and lovely. I couldn't have imagined a better place for our special day. This venue is definitely pretty. We were so excited based on the reviews. We definitely did not have the same experience and ultimately are sorry we chose it for my daughter's wedding. We were assigned Laurie Morris as our wedding organizer. She was nonresponsive from the beginning. We finally had to ask the venue owner, Kevin, to intervene to get a response from Laurie. However, Kevin never apologized or seemed to care. On the day of the wedding, Laurie would not respond to our inquiries about where to set up things or where we could find things. She was in a foul mood and was rude to our guests. Once again we had to get Kevin to intervene. However, when we saw Kevin come out to speak with Laurie, it was obvious that they are good friends and laughing. This all while my younger daughter, who was the maid-of-honor, was on the point of tears because she was so flustered and stressed. The outside area was set up in a haphazard and unattractive way. They did not set up the microphone for the readings during the ceremony (and Laurie was nowhere to be found) so we had to awkwardly work our way through that. When we went inside for the dinner, we found that they did not put the table displays that we requested. There were no water pitchers put out on the tables. So, guests had water glasses but no water. Throughout the reception, Laurie remained unpleasant and inaccessible. Laurie got upset at a group that went up to the buffet and asked if there was more of the vegetables. She laid into them quite harshly that they were supposed to wait and actually glared at them when they stayed put. (So glad we had guests who knew that her behavior was unacceptable and not going to back down to her bullying.) At the end of a long night, my husband and I had to figure out where things were. Laurie looking very put off just kept walking away from us. She made a stressful situation even more stressful. I don't understand why she was so rude to our guests and so unhelpful. I don't know how Kevin would allow it. Literally several dozen guests asked what her problem was. This is her job for goodness' sake. I'm glad I was able to insulate my daughter from Laurie's ugliness. I'm so sorry many others were not. There are just as pretty, if not prettier, venues around. No wedding should be marred by the disrespect and disservice that Kevin and Laurie showed our party.

The lovely people of the Ainsworth House & Gardens gave us the wedding of our dreams. Kevin showed us around and we immediately knew it was where we wanted to get married. The garden and spaces are so beautiful that they function as their own decor, and most of the other items we needed were provided by the venue (including linens, centerpieces, and weather contingency plans) which allowed us to haul in and out as little "stuff" as possible. They were able to accommodate every little thing we asked. Especially the wedding coordinator who worked with the venue, Jocelyn, was really excellent. She ensured that everything ran smoothly and she really had a great time with us besides. She solved so many little problems for us and always with a smile, it was clear she is very good at what she does. Thank you so much to everyone who helped make our wedding so lovely!

We couldn't be happier with our wedding day! Indeed, the event went well above and beyond our expectations! We fell in love with the venue when we saw it, and the staff were very helpful guiding us and leading us on our path! Jocelyn, our wedding planner, was simply THE BEST!!! It was a very magical day! We would whole heartedly recommend any event at the Ainsworth house.

My son just had his wedding here last weekend and it was beautiful! Every detail was perfect! The venue was gorgeous and the fact that we got to use the entire place was great, inside and out. Jocelyn Badali Barrett, our wedding coordinator made the day a breeze and took care of everything. What a special place!

Ainsworth House & Gardens is the most beautiful wedding venue I have ever seen, and upon meeting and talking with Kevin, the owner, we knew we wanted our wedding here. Kevin continued to assist us throughout our wedding buildup and calmly guided us through the ever-changing pandemic rules. Each of our guests commented on the unusual beauty of this place. An on-site wedding coordinator is included in the rental fee, and our coordinator Laurie made our wedding evening run perfectly, even in the Portland 110-degree heat wave. I highly recommend this gem of a wedding venue.

This venue is absolutely beautiful! There are so many spots for pictures and the space for the ceremony was perfect! It was great working with them and staff was very organized and helpful.

I just had my wedding here on 11/7/2021 and everything was an absolute dream! From the beginning stages of planning, to the meetings leading up to the wedding, and then the day of, everything was flawless. This venue is beautiful and comes with a day of coordinator. Our coordinator was Krystle and she made our day stress free and amazing. She was so kind and kept the show going without any issues. The people who work here are very responsive to emails, easy to work with, and go above and beyond. They even worked with us when we had to change our date. They could not have been nicer! I would recommend this venue to any bride and groom who want a beautiful location with people who genuinely care about you and your special day.

Ainsworth House and Gardens was an absolutely wonderful venue for our wedding! Every staff member we worked with was kind, helpful, and great to work with. We loved the venue-- we got married on a cold and rainy November day last week and the inside space was warm and inviting and beautiful for our ceremony and reception! We can't WAIT to see photos from the event-- there are so many beautiful spots to take your professional photos at this venue, even in the rainy fall months! Thank you for everything. The Ainsworth House & Gardens team was amazing from the first email I sent them. So organized, professional, and accommodating. It was a dream to work with them--particularly our planner, Nancy--though the challenges the pandemic has thrown us--I'm so glad my husband and I chose this venue!

Ainsworth House: This is a beautiful location within a neighborhood, but don't let that turn you away. The site itself is a natural and private setting that made for incredibly beautiful photos. The venue coordinators were very responsive, and we were able to get a viewing quickly with follow up information. We write this review in the times of COVID with the caveat that this was new for the venue as well. At the start, they were communicative about changes, however as things developed we would have appreciated more updates. Laurie, the wedding coordinator that was provided by the venue, was immensely helpful in organizing and directing us in things we needed for the wedding. The venue was well prepared for COVID-19 restrictions, clean wedding rooms and facilities for guests. Overall, our wedding was impacted by COVID-19, but Ainsworth House and team worked to help make sure we still had an amazing and beautiful day.

During this current pandemic, we were not sure if we can have our wedding in July. Our original guest count was 120 and had to cut down to 25. Our families from overseas were not able to attend. However, we decided to go ahead with the wedding with the restrictions and limitations. We had a virtual option set up so our guests locally as well as globally can attend. The wedding turned out to be beautiful and magical. Kevin and Laurie made everything run smoothly and worked with us. The weather was perfect and the venue grounds were absolutely gorgeous with flowers and trees in full bloom. The ceremony and reception was social distanced and our guest had masks on (party favors). The matching masks made memorable photographs refelecting the 2020 situation. It didn't look empty with the small group of guests. The best part was we got to visit with each table and spend some time with them during the reception. We felt safe and made it the best COVID-19 wedding.

We had a great experience with Ainsworth. For a moderate extra amount we included a planner that made the process super easy, practical and with great outcomes. The venue was beautiful although a bit difficult to find by guests, because it’s in a residential area. It all worked in the end though.

We cannot say enough good things about Ainsworth House and Gardens. From the first meeting Kevin was super informative. When looking at venues one of the requirements was accessibility for my sister/Maid of honor and this was the first venue that had experience and offered more then "we can figure something out I'm sure", and the owners even bought a ramp for the venue so she could be in the getting ready room with us. There were also a ton of options for where to have our ceremony and they were happy to make each work. Laurie was our day of coordinator and she was absolutely amazing. She made sure everything ran super smoothly and she was absolutely fantastic to work with.

We could not have picked a better place to have our wedding. The venue was gorgeous inside and out. Our day-of coordinator (Nancy) went above and beyond to help us plan out the big day (down to the smallest details). We could not have done it without her. The rest of the staff were so kind and professional. Like I told my friends: I didn’t start sweating until I started dancing and that’s exactly how I think it should be.

Very beautiful venue! They had everything organized, it was so easy to get through the day and everything looked amazing. Ainsworth is a beautiful venue conveniently located in Oregon City. It boasts lovely gardens/grounds and an amazing historic home. The house made for a wonderful place to get dressed for the ceremony and it was also a stunning backdrop for photos. Our wedding was Victorian themed so it was perfect! The staff is incredibly helpful and they truly go out of their way to may sure the day is exactly as you dreamed!

My husband and I were just married at the Ainsworth House in May 2019 and it was elegant. We had our ceremony outside under the large Oak tree and everything went according to plan. Laurie was beyond wonderful in making sure everything was as stress free as possible. Kevin did an amazing job as officiant for our wedding and made it a personable event for our families. We really enjoyed the variety of flowers that were in bloom during this time of the season to make our ceremony spectacular and colorful

I can't even begin to express how happy my husband and I are with our choice to have our wedding at Ainsworth House & Gardens. From our very first visit, Kevin had us sold. The grounds are nothing short of magical. I chose their concierge package which came with a wedding planner/day of coordinator. Nancy was my planner/coordinator and I COULD NOT have done this without her. She did all of the vendor contracts and made sure everyone was paid on time. We just had certain payments we made to the venue, then Nancy dolled it out to the vendors. We had to have exchanged close to 200 emails throughout this process and Nancy was ALWAYS so happy to help and easy to work with. She answered all my questions, offered up suggestions based on her expertise, and everything went perfectly. Planning a wedding is freaking STRESSFUL. If it weren't for Nancy, I would have said, "Screw it!" and we would have eloped! Agh... just EVERYTHING! She helped with decorations, choosing a caterer and photographer, a place to have our rehearsal dinner.... Kevin was supposed to be our officiant, but had a family matter come up a few months before. He and Nancy recommended Pastor Mike who ended up being absolutely PERFECT. I'll never be able to fully express my gratitude to Nancy and all of the staff at Ainsworth House. We had around 90 people at the ceremony and about 80 at the reception (no kids) and it was the perfect amount of people for the space. If I could give more stars, I would! DEFINITELY check them out on your search for the perfect wedding venue. I promise you won't be disappointed. THANK YOU AGAIN, AINSWORTH HOUSE!!!!!!!

My husband and I were married at the Ainsworth House this past August. We could not have been happier with how our wedding turned out! Everyone at the Ainsworth House were extremely helpful throughout the year we were planning our wedding. Nancy Shaw and Laurie Morris were our wedding coordinators and they were AMAZING! They were so helpful through the planning process and had so many wonderful ideas that made our wedding perfect. We are still hearing from our guests that our wedding was one of the best they attended and we owe that all to the Ainsworth team! Thank you all for making our big day nothing short of amazing!

I toured many facilities but fell in love with Ainsworth House & Gardens. Not only are the grounds beautiful but the staff are all amazing. They include so much more in their packages than other venues making it a great value. The best part was that they include a day of coordinator. Our coordinator was Krystle who made the day perfect! She made sure everything was set up, helped with music, kept us on schedule, and so much more. I couldn’t recommend this venue more!

We were blown away by the overall experience working with the Ainsworth House & Gardens staff as well as with the location. The venue itself was exactly what we were looking for in terms of atmosphere, scenery, and overall experience. Nancy and the rest of the staff were nothing but helpful with the run up and during the course of our wedding. As a wedding venue we could not fault anything. We had full use of the house, gardens, and reception house and our guests enjoyed every inch. We had guests from Germany, England, and all over the United States attend our wedding and everyone loved the venue. I have only seen sneak peeks of our photos but the venue is gorgeous from every angle I've seen. The staff is very organized when it comes to the timeline for the day of, and arranging everything you need to make your wedding special. We did use the linens from the venue and they looked great! Another added bonus was Kevin Yell. He was the perfect officiant for our wedding and we loved getting to know him. Thank you Ainsworth crew for everything! Brides I highly recommend this venue. Prior to coming to Ainsworth House we had toured almost a dozen venues. We couldn't seem to find a place that had everything we wanted, until we found this beautiful property. Not only was the physical venue breathtaking, but the owners and staff were incredible. They were kind, encouraging, supportive and they were a large part of making our special day so incredible. Krystle Allen is amazing! She was patient, yet directive, and so sweet. I would not have survived the chaos without her. Planning a wedding, and then being in a wedding, are such special experiences and there is no other team and no other venue that I would have rather shared this day with. I highly recommend them anyone looking for the perfect wedding day!

Ainsworth House and Gardens was perfect for my wedding ceremony and reception. I loved working with Nancy to plan my big day and she and the owner, Kevin were very responsive and helpful from Day 1. I loved the historic home and the gardens are so well kept and beautiful! So many areas to take gorgeous wedding photos! The price is very competitive and they do not nickel and dime you for everything like other venues and having Nancy as my coordinator was included! Although I live in Nashville, Nancy made the process very easy and efficient, fitting me in when I was visiting and making sure I was able to get what I needed. The list of preferred vendors was extremely helpful, but I loved that we were able to ultimately choose who we wanted and Nancy helped facilitate that connection if necessary. For example, I decided to use chairs from another company instead of the chairs at Ainsworth and Nancy helped me price out the best deal! She was very organized and made sure to ask all of the right questions to get even the little details decided and to make sure I was happy. They also allowed me to bring in all of my personal decor-like cornhole boards and different signs and things and gave suggestions on where to put it all. She was so patient and understanding and I could not have asked for a better venue or coordinator. I received so many compliments on the venue and gardens from our guests and what a great time they had. My wedding day was perfect and that was in large part because of Nancy and the Ainsworth House. I highly recommend them for any special event and I cannot thank them enough for everything!
