e Sunday after (to give you an idea):
I’d like to point out a lot of errors in how yesterday was handled. I sent you over a very specific timeline of girls that started at 8:30am and it was really stressful that you weren’t ready and waiting at 8:30… you got there at 9am and didn’t start any makeup until almost 9:45am. As a bride this was one stress I didn’t or shouldn’t of have to had worried about but I was forced to and I am extremely disappointed in your time management. There were a lot of moments that were wasted on little things, instead of focusing on the fact that we were so behind on a very strict timeline. My own mother choose to do her own makeup to keep the wedding on schedule. All in all this was not a great experience for me or family on a day that meant everything to us all.
After sending this email I found out that it took her hours to clean up (even though she managed to make it to our cocktail hour at 5:30pm which she was not invited to). She was still packing up her things at 7pm… even though the last girl finished at 4pm to make the timeline work. I also believe champagne was missing from our room that wasn’t drank (I will not say this as a fact since there was so much much going on for me but I’ve had more than one bridesmaid put in charge of this that brought it up and confirmed)

and 7 bridesmaids/maid of honor so all together 11 people. Donna assured me that if she started at 12pm we would be done in time for the 4pm wedding start time. Donna spent a lot of time talking and at 4pm she just started working on the bride, we were 45 minutes late to the wedding. Donna has poor time management and cost us $5,000 due to her being behind as she took many bathroom breaks, was drinking champagne and having way too many conversations. While she did a nice job, she has very poor time management and I would caution a large bridal party using her due to her poor time management. We will never get back the 45 minutes lost of our wedding which had a ripple effect on the evening which was rushed due to her poor time management.

gether and I really didn't need to touch up anything. I had a minor problem with one eyelash set but I pushed it down and it was OK. I got the airbrush foundation and didn't feel oily at all like I do sometimes with my own make-up. It was hot on my wedding day too. They both came on time and listened to what we were asking to be done and were happy to adjust where needed. Donna knew right away which direction to go in with my eye make-up (based on my green eye color) during the trial since I didn't have a true direction. They both are really talented and Donna seems like she has only the best from the way she has talked about her staff. During the process, Donna always returned my email/phone calls right away and answered my questions. affordable than many other vendors I looked into. she's fun and chatty and i recommend her highly!
she is very busy, so sometimes you have to contact her a few times before and after the makeup trial to make sure you are on the same page. I would suggest looking through her website and blog to see samples of her work, because she will stay true to that, even if it doesn't seem so at the trial (trials are difficult because the clothes, lighting, etc. are not the same as the actual wedding day!)
bring cash/check to the trial as well as a camera. bring photos with you, because the best way to communicate with donna and really describe what you would like done is in person.
my hairstylist was jess, who is very responsive with email and suggestions, and did a great job on my hair. they were both awesome working with my mom, who doesn't usually get her hair or makeup done!
