Airwave Band

Booking The Ultra Sonics for our wedding reception was hands down the easiest, stress free element of planning our wedding. When we needed to postpone our date due to the pandemic, Adam was incredibly kind and accommodating. His communication was excellent and he made himself available for check in’s, clarification, ideas, etc. We requested the band learn a new song for us to perform for our guests and the answer was yes-no questions asked. At our final meeting, we were able to go over all the details at length. Adam was very thorough, making sure every element was covered. We left feeling assured that the requests and overall “vibe” for our reception would be taken care of. The Ultra Sonics not only met our expectations, but exceeded them! Our first dance was exactly how we envisioned, combining two different tempos into one consecutive song. The set list was well thought out, featuring a mix of our requests, band favorites, and overall wedding hits. The vocalists and musicians were all top notch and had our guests on their feet dancing and singing the whole night. As creatives ourselves, we were tremendously satisfied with the quality, artistry and professionalism of The Ultra Sonics. We highly recommend booking them for your next event. You will not be disappointed.

A band was a top priority for our wedding reception! We remembered the Airwave wedding band from a wedding we attended in 2018!! (That's how memorable they are!) WOW. Did they go above and beyond for our big day. They are worth every penny! Adam was SO amazing to work with during our wedding planning process. He was extremely professional, kind, communicative and willing to work with us through the COVID-19 adjustments and new guidelines. In our state, dancing was banned -- but we knew we wanted to keep the band for some amazing live entertainment. We are so glad we did! It was the hit of the night and kept people smiling, dancing and singing along. The band learned our first dance song specifically for our wedding because we choregraphed a dance to it -- they KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK! Because of their performance, so many of our friends are adding a band to their wedding plans. Thank you Airwave for helping make our wedding day so memorable, fun and GROOVY!!

Airwave Band was exceptional! Our wedding was over a year ago and when we think back on that day this band was the best part. They were very accommodating and easy to work with. They learned a few new songs for us and helped us put together our playlist. They have great insight on how to structure the evening. Their range of songs is great and they make everyone get out on the dance floor. All of our guests commented that the band was amazing. They definitely made the night very special. If you're looking for a band for your wedding look no further! They did an amazing job and I am so happy we chose Airwave!!

Airwave was a fantastic wedding band. Our guests danced from the first note until the last. People enjoyed hearing a broad range of music and multiple vocalists. They truly offer sets that appeal to all ages. You can’t go wrong with this band.

My husband and I have loved and followed Airwave since we first saw them perform at his sister's wedding. We have watched them play live at Carlo & Johnny's. Then, when we got engaged, we booked Airwave IMMEDIATELY! They are just absolutely unreal. I wrote them an email recently thanking them for their performance at our wedding, and I thought it best describe how we felt, so I have pasted it here =) Adam, I cannot tell you enough how absolutely INCREDIBLE you and your band are! Our guests kept going on and on about your performance (And still are!). Despite seeing you all play as many times as we have, we were still blown away. Thank you for keeping people on the dance floor all night and for making our wedding reception unforgettable! I also want to thank you specifically for: 1) Learning news songs for our occasion and absolutely killing it! 2) Playing that Boz Scaggs song for my grandfather + announcing him to come to the dance floor... I cannot tell you how much this meant to him. 3) Letting us use the mic to call people to the dance floor for photos! 4) Being so organized, helpful and prompt in your responses throughout the planning process! You and your band are truly one-of-a-kind. With such extraordinary skill along with being so personable and friendly... just amazing. If you are looking for a great wedding band - Airwaves is the way to go! Everyone cannot stop talking about how amazing they were and how much fun they had dancing all night! The were extremely helpful in the planning process and even learned a song for us. Ted, Dixie, and the team are so much fun and make you feel so special!

Airwave was absolutely amazing to work with and far exceeded our expectations during the reception. No one left the dance floor all night! A month plus out from our wedding, we are still getting compliments from our guests about how awesome Airwave was. We cannot thank Airwave enough for making our wedding unforgettable.

Many of our guests told us that our wedding was one of the most fun weddings they had ever been to, and I contribute a huge part of that to Airwave! They were PHENOMENAL and had everyone dancing all night long! They were easy to work with and didn’t require any in-person meetings before the big day, which was great because I was planning a wedding from across the country. Airwave was by far the best money we spent on our wedding, and I could not have imagined it without them.

What a wonderful experience all night long! People could not stop raving about how great the band was, and no one ever left the dance floor. Better than we could have ever imagined. I wish I could give a 6/5 stars!

A fantastic band. My dad keeps trying to invent parties so he can have them play again. They made our reception the party that we wanted it to be. They were also so kind and learned our first dance song. Can't recommend them enough.

Our wedding was wonderful, and so much of that can be attributed to Airwave. We reached out to Ted Karas after hearing rave reviews from several friends and listening to YouTube clips of their performances at Jeff Ruby’s. We were very lucky as their calendar was filling up fast for Spring 2016, but May 7 was still available. Although we had not heard them personally (we live out of state) we booked Airwave and were in for quite a treat. Working with Ted could not have been easier. We had concerns due to the layout of Union Terminal (our ceremony and dancing were in one room and dinner in another). Ted worked directly with our venue to coordinate the setup, breakdown, sound systems and other small details. Additionally, he put us in contact with his keyboardist, Joel Crabtree, to play during our ceremony and cocktail hour. In advance of the wedding, Ted had us review the song list and highlight any music we definitely did or did not want to hear, as well as identify our first dance, father-daughter and mother-son songs. This was great as he made sure we heard the genre and style of music our guests would most enjoy. The day of the wedding was nothing short of amazing. The band arrived to setup and Joel did an excellent job during the ceremony and cocktail hour. Then, the real fun started. We had told Airwave that our guests would be a party crowd and to make sure they stayed on the dance floor. They did that and so much more. They played all the music we requested, including a specially prepared version of “The Hora” that transitioned into Rocky Top. These little touches made the night extra special and our dance floor was full the whole night with guests, young and old. Not just being a “fun” wedding band, Airwave is also very talented. The different members of the band allow them to perform all different genres, from Motown to country and everything in between. Our guests all commented how impressed they were with the band. Airwave certainly met and exceeded all our expectations and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a band in the future.

They are fantastic! I was originally nervous about a band versus a DJ but Ted and Dixie put me completely at ease. They listened to my thoughts around the reception and executed a flawless evening. I was so happy - the dance floor was packed (before dinner was over) and our guests raved about the awesome party and how talented the band was. I highly recommend them for any wedding!

THE BEST EVER. Not only was our dance floor packed all night long, but these are are also good people. We were so lucky to have the opportunity to meet them before out wedding and they couldn't be any nicer. They played during cocktail hour, sang through dinner, and had the whole wedding dancing all miiht.

Airwaves is the best wedding band I have ever heard! They played at my brother and sister's wedding, also. They make sure everyone is out on the dance floor having a great time. They play a variety of music and will learn songs if you give them enough notice! The energy at my reception was amazing and never slowed down! We danced the night away and into the morning. They closed down our reception at 1 am. Great people to work with, too!!

I can't say enough about this band! Everyone was dancing all night! So many people commented about how fun and terrific they were. They really knew how to read the audience and what the audience needed. They added so much fun to the night. They were so energetic and so talented!! The music was wonderful! They got the audience involved as well!! Terrific voices and terrific music!!

This band is AMAZING!! So many guests said it was one of the best bands they have heard! They played perfect songs for the crowd, took infrequent breaks and helped us have the night of our lives.

I was initially concerned, because the playlist casts the net far and shallow: lots of genres, but only a handful of songs from each. Turns out - I was completely wrong! This band had our guests on their feet all night! Old and young were dancing. I would have liked it if our playlist for in between sets was used, as our more indie music-liking friends didn't dance, but overall, excellent band, terrific musicians.

I loved working with Airwave. They learned a song for my husband and my first dance and kept the crowd dancing all night long. I have had more people comment on how great the music was at our reception.

The Airwave band has a female and a male singer that allows them to sing all sorts of music, but they get a feel for the crowd and know how to get the party started! You won't be disappointed with this band!

Airwave came highly recommend from all of my wedding vendors so my husband and I were excited to use them. Ted was the best to work with! He was quick to respond and answered all our questions completely. He made great suggestions for cocktail hour (piano), and during dinner (jazz quartet). We opted for the larger band for the reception and were not disappointed. They have an extensive play list and are willing to learn several new songs if given enough notice. Dixie and Keenan have amazing voices. The entire band has so much energy and everyone was on the dance floor from start to finish!

I would have never thought that a band would be so much fun at a wedding. I always liked a DJ. The amount of songs that they can cover is amazing. They can play songs from the 50's to now. Very Awesome. Totally changed my opinion on bands.

They are the BEST band out there. They had everyone out and dancing on the dance floor all night long. They are fun, energetic, and really know how to work a crowd!!! Use them and you will not regret it!

I would consider Airwave the BEST wedding reception band. They play all types of music with all types of instruments and they do so amazingly well. Ted is the leader of the band and he was such a joy to work with - very professional, nice and easy to work with. One of the reasons our wedding was a huge success was because of the Airwave band!
