New barn venue taking reservations for Summer 2026! Located on 40 acres of the Big Shoal Heritage Area, just outside of Kansas City, MO, AJ Barn is a stunning venue for weddings and other special events. The original farm dates back to 1824, with the original log cabin being built between 1831 and 1834. In 2005, the City of Gladstone purchased the house, two acres of property, and some outbuildings that included the original barn. Unfortunately, the condition of the barn was beyond repair. AJ Barn has been built in its place to serve the community as a perfect place to hold celebrations of many kinds for years to come. The newly constructed barn and open-air area create a classic setting for your special day, blending rustic charm with modern amenities.

use she was absolutely wonderful so sweet, attentive, and always checking to make sure everything was good. The owner was also very kind and made us feel welcome. The food was delicious, and the drinks were great as well. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I will definitely be back. Highly recommend! 😊

I happened upon AJ's on a walk. The food was delicious. The menu had good variety, especially for a bar! They have Karaoke on Thursday's. The staff was friendly.
