AJ Hair and Make-up

She even stayed until after I had put my dress on to make sure I didn't need any additional makeup or hair touch-ups. My bridesmaids and I got the beautiful, natural look we were hoping for! I'm so glad to have worked with Moriah from AJ's!

akeup- she sent an employee. I am doubtful of this employee's credentials to even do makeup, based on our experience. The employee showed up an hour late, which messed up the entire wedding day timeline, including photos. The makeup was extremely amateur. Uneven eyeliner, lack of a variety of products, etc. It took me months of emailing (and being ignored) to get a refund. AJ's responses were completely unprofessional and she refused to meet or speak on the phone. When she sent the refund, it was $75.00 which is a laughable portion of what we paid for the makeup overall. All I can say is, be sure to book a trial run and use her service at your own risk.

All of our prices are clear and upfront in our initial email (with the exception of possible travel fees for an extra artist, which you requested at a later time). We have no hidden fees; all of our fees are listed in our price guide, which you received. Yes, we have a minimum service requirement for two artists; that requirement was clear, and you agreed to it. Anyone who fails to meet the minimum amount still has to pay, that's the point of a minimum. My artist may have misspoke about the contracted agreement you and I had before-hand (because the situation was unusual) but that doesn’t supersede our prior arrangement and it certainly doesn't justify you not compensating the second artist... the generous artist you insisted on having (who I outsourced and usually charges more in her own business), who drove over three hours to accommodate you, and who also waited over an hour for a service that didn't happen. Now you're leaving unwarranted reviews and don't want to pay. I'm disappointed things have come to this, but I trust you will pay your bill so that our artists can be fairly compensated for their valuable time. Sincerely, AJ

to be misleading, unclear, and muddled with details that I shouldn't have needed to worry about. She was not upfront with her pricing for travel, for adding a second artist, and she attempted to make changes a couple weeks before the wedding, which were different that we had discussed months earlier. To top it all off, she was unclear with her artists working for her and with me about pricing. Her artist told me something on my wedding day- and this is what we did- and then later, on my honeymoon, AJ personally contacted me multiple times for an additional bill- that her own artist said I was not responsible for. It didn't stop there however, she emailed me multiple times requesting payment for the bill and threatening to take me to collections- directly contradicting her own artist and never fully informing me that if we didn't complete the number of services as discussed- I would be financially responsible for paying for them all anyway, never said this through any of our correspondence nor on her pricing handouts. Very misleading, indirect, and downright unprofessional. I do not recommend her.
