Al Dee Productions

Working with Al Dee as our DJ and emcee was one of the *best* decisions we made in planning the wedding! Simply put, he is a pro. We had a 200 person, very diverse wedding and he nailed the vibe the entire evening. Sound quality and lighting elements were great the entire night, from the outdoor reception speakers for couple entrance and speeches, all the way to first dances, bouquet toss and cake cutting. We had a lot going on in different spaces through the evening and Al made it all feel cohesive. He kept the dance floor packed all night seamlessly moving from traditional Arabic music, Haitian kompas, throwback R&B and pop to Motown. We also booked the selfie pod through Al Dee, and have so much great content from it. A really fun, affordable add-on to your package. At one point during a very stressful phase in planning I had a freakout about outdoor seating and the sound set up. I called Al and ended up crying on the phone! At first he said maybe I should look into another DJ who could offer the solution I was asking for (wireless speakers), but then he re-assured me that all was going to be okay and that I could trust him to deliver a good experience for the guests. I went with my gut, stuck with him and it worked out indeed. So impressed, had a blast. (FYI, looking at other reviews - I can't vouch for anyone else at the company as we were lucky enough to be able to book Al personally, so if you can make sure that's contractually noted! I also saw some reviews that Al didn't work all that well with other vendors. He was a recommendation from my *fabulous* planner, Sharlene from LT Events, which I will say helped with communication and coordination).

My husband and I hired Al Dee Productions for 3 factors of our wedding - DJ, Photo, and Video. We had a less than stellar experience with this company and I sadly cannot in good faith recommend them. Rodrigo and Wayne were wonderful photographers at our wedding. We had a blast getting to know them and it was obvious they were passionate and sincere in capturing as many wonderful moments for us throughout the night. The photos came out very well!! The video was okay - we ordered raw footage of the entire night and that is what we received. However, I felt some of the angles used during the ceremony were missed opportunities. For example, Dee set up a camera in the back of the ceremony arch, facing only me. So when he edited to show that camera, it would only show my face and not my husband's. In order to see my husband's face, I needed to rely on the other camera facing the front of the ceremony. But all in all, we enjoy the video. DJ: We were supposed to have Al as our DJ, but he went through a family tragedy that resulted in him needing to assign us to Flash. My husband and I put the wedding to the side to offer all our support to Al during his difficult time. After having many pleasant conversations with him throughout the planning process, we were confident we would be in good hands regardless. While Flash did receive our specific requests and details when it came to music, he failed in many areas. 1. He did not play the song at the moment I requested it to be played for our entrance to the ballroom. 2. He sped through the introductions. My husband's parents weren't even halfway through the ballroom before my own parents got called. 3. We are an LGBT couple of 2 men. Flash used the term "Bride" a few times saying, "Let's hear it for the Bride and Groom." He also said, "The Bridal Party" when doing the introductions. This was very disappointing for me. If you are going to provide services to a same-sex wedding, you should be professional enough to keep proper wedding terminology top of mind. 4. Flash played only a handful of my requested songs. He would oftentimes go off and play whatever he wanted, which would've been fine if the music was actually good. The songs were abysmal and unpopular/random. No one was on the dance floor and I had to ask him several times to change up the music and/or liven it up so people can dance. 5. Flash didn't want to begin the dancing until he gradually got all of us on the dance floor for one big photo. He started with me and my husband, then family, then close friends, etc. When I realized what he was doing, I went up to him and said, "Stop this at once and just start playing music." We were already well behind and nearly 2 hours in before he started playing music. That was not on the timeline. I was also very frustrated that he tried to get every single person in such a small space considering how I emphasized to him and all my vendors that we wanted to keep COVID top of mind and ensure safe practices were being implemented where possible. I reported all this to Al and gave him ample time to respond. He ignored my feedback for Flash and when I followed up, he gaslighted me in claiming it was my songs that kept people off the dance floor and Flash's choices were what saved the day. Now I can't get any response from him so I guess he's just done with me, especially after I asked for a credit. Honestly, I would say do NOT go with this vendor. They have proven to be quite disrespectful.

I would highly reccomend Al Dee Productions! They were professional, easy to work with and it was all in one DJ, Photographer and Videographer. Being we were from out of town it made it so much easier to hire everyone from one place. The DJ had everyone dancing, photos turned out amazing and still waiting on our video but I expect it to be just as awesome as the rest.

I have sent this guy NUMEROUS texts and phone calls about requesting and refund he said he would when I provided PROOF of how awful his services were he sent a god damn photographer to work dry ice.... and then DEFENDED those actions! I sent him proof and now he refuses to awnser because he doesnt want to pay back 200 dollars because he is a "good person who doesnt deserve that" You lied about who you sent you lied about giving me a refund and now because YOU feel you are a good person that I shouldnt ask for a refund when you messed up my FIRST DANCE i will never get that back! ever! thank you so much you jerk ADMIT YOU WERE WRONG because your employee was real fast to admit he was a photographer to my dj!!
