We had such a wonderful experience at Alamo Wedding Venue for our engagement shoot this past spring! The property was spacious, beautiful, and surrounded by gorgeous blooms, giving us so many stunning backdrops and photo opportunities.

Alamo Wedding Venue & Events Center is a wedding venue tucked just outside of Mason, TX - a quiet Hill Country gem with vineyard views, German roots, and small-town charm, all within easy reach of both Austin and San Antonio. It offers the same natural beauty and destination feel that couples love about Fredericksburg, in a more relaxed setting that allows you to create a meaningful experience without overspending.
Surrounded by wide-open views and shaded by mature live oaks, the Central Courtyard creates a romantic backdrop for ceremonies and golden-hour celebrations. Natural stonework, a resort-style pool, and a cascading waterfall add a unique, elevated feel while keeping the atmosphere warm and welcoming.
Inside, the Event Center is designed for connection and celebration, with a spacious dance floor, rustic bar, and built-in entertainment like shuffleboard, pool, and darts - giving your guests more ways to relax and enjoy the day.
We comfortably host up to 200 guests on our limestone patio, with additional flexibility for smaller indoor or tented celebrations. Whether you’re planning something intimate or a full wedding weekend, the space adapts to your vision.
Located just a few miles from the Llano River, the surrounding area offers beautiful photo opportunities and space for guests to explore, while kids and families can enjoy time outdoors. On-site casitas accommodate up to 12 guests, making it easy to turn your wedding into a shared, multi-day experience with the people who matter most.

Meet the team
- Kolby Kothman-MeyerManagerKolby was raised in the Trans-Pecos region of Texas, with family roots in the Hill Country dating back six generations to German immigrants. Her connection to both regions gives her a deep appreciation for Texas landscapes, tradition, and meaningful gatherings. She became involved with Alamo Wedding Venue & Events Center through her husband, Colin, after he partnered with the Bowyer family to create the venue’s website. What began as a collaboration grew into a trusted role supporting both the venue and its couples. Kolby holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and an MBA in International Business Consulting, which she completed in Germany, where her family originated and where she met her husband. She began her career in hospitality as a hunting guide and assistant lodge manager in Argentina, building a strong foundation in guest experience and operations. At the venue, Kolby manages communications, scheduling, payments, and vendor coordination, ensuring a smooth and supportive planning process for every couple. Having planned her own wedding during COVID while completing her graduate studies and navigating an international relationship, she understands that every wedding is unique and is committed to helping each bride feel confident, supported, and at ease throughout the journey.
