The team at Alan Koa was great for my wedding! I had Kalli do my makeup and Tohria do my hair, and they were both fantastic. Both the trial and the day of went smoothly. With the t...
eam at Alan Koa, we were able to start hair & makeup at 9am and finish by 11:30am - and that included hair and/or makeup for 7 women in the wedding, my mom, and the flower girl!
I got my bridal hair and makeup done at Alan Koa Salon Spa, and they did a wonderful job! Kayla did my makeup and Tohria did my hair. I had a trial a few weeks before, then a lat...
e morning appointment on the day of.
The trial was relaxed and attentive - both Kayla and Tohria did a great job of getting input on what I was looking for, asking for feedback as they tried things, and then making notes about what worked. I don't wear makeup or do my hair very much, so I was nervous about how it would turn out, but it was perfect! The false lashes in particular were way more comfortable and subtle than I had thought. And the updo stayed put even after a volleyball game later that evening!
The appointment day-of was also great. They were very good at relaxing my nerves and showing me how things were turning out. I brought along some flowers and Tohria wove them into the braids and bun, then showed my sister and me how to put in and take out the veil. I got tons of compliments all evening on how I looked, and the best part was seeing my husband give a little gasp as he turned around and saw me in the aisle.
Thank you, Kayla and Tohria! You were amazing!
My 7 girls and I all got our hair done here and we loved the experience and the hair!!! All of our hairdressers were so kind and easy to talk. Having a room we could all have break...
fast and mimosas in was so nice, as well as the beautiful downtown location. I specifically recommend Tohria who made my elegantly messy hairstyle concept a dream! Alan Koa is the best place for bridal parties!
We had a “destination” wedding in Madison, so the entire bridal party was traveling and we needed not only 10+ hair and make-up appointments, but wanted to have a little fun while ...
we were getting ready. Brenda and everyone at Alan Koa went absolutely above and beyond. Not did they accommodate our large group of ladies, including our various changes and additional services (i.e. fixing a faulty Mother of the Bride mani from another salon), they allowed us to use a lounge space in the salon as our make shift suite where we had mimosas, snacks and chatted while we finished the appointments. Each member of the Alan Koa team was professional, fun and excellent stylists and make-up artists – with our hair and make-up looking great even ~ 12 hours later.
In addition, since I was visiting from out of town, they were able to accommodate a hair trial on Friday, which Tori was able to turn into a gorgeous rehearsal dinner curls.
Such a fabulous experience – I only wish I could continue visiting for all my future hair needs
All of the staff we worked with at Alan Koa were amazing! My whole bridal party had hair and makeup done and we were very happy with it!
I could not be more thrilled with the hair, makeup, and service we received at Alan Koa for our wedding. Fazia did my hair, and Jillian did my makeup - both were perfect and exactl...
y what I was looking for. After my trial, I had some changes for Fazia, and she did an amazing job tweaking day-of to make sure it came out just how I had imagined. Myself and my bridesmaids/moms felt absolutely beautiful for my wedding.
Also, the non-hair/makeup services were excellent. The salon itself is beautiful (my photographer insisted he stop by since he knows how pretty it is in there), the front desk staff were always on hand if we needed a champagne bottle popped or more glasses for our mimosas. Just great service all the way around, I couldn't recommend them more.
The staff during our appts were great and Cheyenne was great to work with in setting up appts. Very responsive which is important to me. I was disappointed they didn't have more n...
ail techs on staff allowing more of my girls to get "done" at the same time but neither did any of the other salons in the area
I am SO happy I chose Alan Koa for my wedding beauty services. It's a bit of a splurge, but SO worth it. The salon is gorgeous and the staff is exceptional. They really take care o...
f you! I really recommend having a hair and makeup trial. It was so much fun, and they made me feel so relaxed and beautiful on my wedding day. The nail services are great too! I cannot recommend Alan Koa enough!
I have been going to Alan Koa for 5 years (Danielle is amazing!), so choosing them to do my bridal hair was easy. Brenda was incredibly kind and accomodating the day of the wedding...
; We had a large group of 15 woman (me, my bridesmaids, moms, aunts, flower girl) but we were never made to feel like we were in the way or a nuisance. All of our hair looked amazing and the staff was quick and professional!
I went to Alan Koa for my shellac manicure the day before the wedding, in addition to my hair and makeup and my bridesmaids' hair and makeup. I am so happy with how everything turn...
ed out! My nails are still gorgeous, and they are exactly what I wanted. Joellen did a great job. Tess did my hair and makeup on Saturday, and I am blown away with how amazing I looked. I told her I wanted to look like Snow White in the early '60s, which is a strange request, but she pulled it off. My makeup stayed absolutely perfect the entire day, and I didn't need a single touchup. My bridesmaids looked even more gorgeous than usual, and they each looked like themselves, which I appreciated. We were even allowed to make some mimosas while we got ready and that was very VERY nice, since I was sort of panicky and needed a drink. I would recommend Alan Koa to any bride who wants to feel pampered and wonderful and assured that she will look more beautiful than she ever has before.
