The trial was relaxed and attentive - both Kayla and Tohria did a great job of getting input on what I was looking for, asking for feedback as they tried things, and then making notes about what worked. I don't wear makeup or do my hair very much, so I was nervous about how it would turn out, but it was perfect! The false lashes in particular were way more comfortable and subtle than I had thought. And the updo stayed put even after a volleyball game later that evening!
The appointment day-of was also great. They were very good at relaxing my nerves and showing me how things were turning out. I brought along some flowers and Tohria wove them into the braids and bun, then showed my sister and me how to put in and take out the veil. I got tons of compliments all evening on how I looked, and the best part was seeing my husband give a little gasp as he turned around and saw me in the aisle.

we were getting ready. Brenda and everyone at Alan Koa went absolutely above and beyond. Not did they accommodate our large group of ladies, including our various changes and additional services (i.e. fixing a faulty Mother of the Bride mani from another salon), they allowed us to use a lounge space in the salon as our make shift suite where we had mimosas, snacks and chatted while we finished the appointments. Each member of the Alan Koa team was professional, fun and excellent stylists and make-up artists – with our hair and make-up looking great even ~ 12 hours later.
In addition, since I was visiting from out of town, they were able to accommodate a hair trial on Friday, which Tori was able to turn into a gorgeous rehearsal dinner curls.
Such a fabulous experience – I only wish I could continue visiting for all my future hair needs

y what I was looking for. After my trial, I had some changes for Fazia, and she did an amazing job tweaking day-of to make sure it came out just how I had imagined. Myself and my bridesmaids/moms felt absolutely beautiful for my wedding.
Also, the non-hair/makeup services were excellent. The salon itself is beautiful (my photographer insisted he stop by since he knows how pretty it is in there), the front desk staff were always on hand if we needed a champagne bottle popped or more glasses for our mimosas. Just great service all the way around, I couldn't recommend them more.

I told her I wanted to look like Snow White in the early '60s, which is a strange request, but she pulled it off. My makeup stayed absolutely perfect the entire day, and I didn't need a single touchup. My bridesmaids looked even more gorgeous than usual, and they each looked like themselves, which I appreciated. We were even allowed to make some mimosas while we got ready and that was very VERY nice, since I was sort of panicky and needed a drink. I would recommend Alan Koa to any bride who wants to feel pampered and wonderful and assured that she will look more beautiful than she ever has before.
