His style and artistic vision far surpassed what I could have ever wanted for our engagement and wedding photos. Lee was fabulous and our photos are stunning. I am so glad we found him. His photo style caught our eye first. We wanted moments and memories, candid expressions and sentiment - he has that documentary style. When we reached out to get information, Lee talked on the phone with my fiancé (now husband) and I for about an hour. We loved his philosophy and values around his photography and they aligned with what we were after. He was authentic and naturally assured us that he is there to see, honor and celebrate the connections and tell the story. We bonded! It actually rained during our engagement photo session (in defiance of the forecast we’d been constantly checking), but our photos in the mist at the top of a golden hill turned out so good and so special. We even took some wrong turns on our hike to the photo location but Lee made the experience fun, finding genuine connection points, being candid and flexible and sharing the adventure with us. We couldn’t plan for the weather we had and I love the atmosphere that came through in the photos. Lee sees the big picture along with the details and is attentive so they aren’t missed. Lee was always accessible and just a call or text away. He was double booked on our wedding day so his team member, Jules Moody, was our wedding photographer and she was also incredible. Lee is very intentional about who he works with and selects photographers who share the same style and values as him (and he’s the one who edits the images). Jules was a rockstar - she was sliding down hills, climbing on tables and laying on the floor to get the shots - and was a delight! She also put us at ease and felt like part of our friends and family. It also rained on our wedding day and again everyone stayed flexible and got incredibly special photos - moody, vibrant, and soft. We’ve been obsessively ogling our sneak peek gallery. The images feel iconic and we already cherish the feelings captured in them. We are so happy we chose Alchemist Weddings. The photos themselves are amazing but so, too, is that feeling of having a friend who sees and celebrates you…and skillfully makes moments of your life last forever.

Lee and his team are an absolute blessing to have on your wedding day. I found them through the Knot.com. I instatntly fell in love with his style of photography. Not only that but when we were first looking for photographers Lee called me and we spike for an hour and a half about expectations and whay kind of wedding etc. No other photographer i looked at did this, I really appreciated the time he took out of his day to spend talking to us. Fast forward to wedding day Lee and his team made us super comfortable and helped to make our wedding magical. Lee is so easy to work with and definitely knows how to get shy couples out of their comfort zone. Lee not only helped capture our wedding but also us as a couple with an engagement shoot as well. I have never felt so comfortable around a photographer before. Not only is he amazing to work with but his work is equally as amazing. I absolutely love every single one of my pictures and cannot pick a favorite. Not only are the pictures amazing we got our sneak peeks back the same day! It wasn't just 1 or 2 pictures either it was an entire album. That was an absolutely amazing surprise to wake up to the next morning. I would recommend Alchemist Weddings for any event you may have! Where do I even begin! We just received our teaser photos from our Wedding and they are absolutely stunning! Better than I could have ever imagined! Lee was extremely professional, fun, personable and easy to work with! He focused on what was important for us, and always caught the best shots and best moments without fail! We are beyond pleased with Lee’s work for our wedding day at the Biltmore Estate and our engagement pictures at Looking Glass falls, the pictures are beautiful and we will cherish them forever. We were in the hunt for a photographer that was able to work independently as we wanted to rely on their creative eye so we could focus on our guests and enjoying our time at our ceremony and reception. Lee was fantastic to work with since the beginning, he was always able to answer any and all questions via text or a phone call. We were able to speak with him on several occasions to plan our vision. We first met him for our engagement pictures and we didn’t have a clear idea of where we could take pictures since we are from Miami and not familiar with the Asheville area, Lee was great at providing a magnificent backdrop for our shoot, and although the weather at the fall was at times uncomfortable Lee was still able to capture amazing shots that we were delighted with. For our big day we had to adhere to the many rules and limitations at the Biltmore Estate and Lee was able to pivot to make our first look pictures happen, we were able to enjoy our reception with the assurance he would know what to capture and when and we were satisfied with the end result. The turnabout time was also very reasonable and we had the final pictures before we got back from our honeymoon. We would recommend Lee and his team without reservations, and I commend him for his artistic eye and ability to create a wonderful product while also taking into consideration our vision and ideas.

Picking out a photographer felt super daunting in the beginning, but after we met Lee we knew it was a perfect match. We just had our engagement photos, and I was BLOWN away by all the little moments he was able to capture. We wanted to find someone that would blend perfectly with our style and fit right in on our wedding day. It's evident in his work how personal it is for him and how much he truly cares about his clients' experience. I know he’s only ever a quick text or call away. We've had quite a few changes in locations and dates, and he’s been so flexible and helpful throughout. We were obsessed with the engagement photos he took. The day of the photos, it just so happened to start raining as we were parking to meet up with Lee. He came prepared with two clear umbrellas and was pumped for the shoot regardless of the rain. He immediately put my nerves at rest. We ended up with over 200 photos in less than two weeks. I couldn't believe all the stunning photos I had to choose from. Not to mention, we had the best time scouting the Lake Lure area during our time. It was the best little adventure. We can’t wait to have Lee meet our two little ones for our family photos next. Our wedding day is about six months away, and there’s still so much to plan. But I’m so happy we found Lee, and I’m so excited to see all the moments he has yet to capture. Highly recommend!

Lee is wonderful to work with! Highly recommend. He is very responsive and works with your concept / mood / vibe. Quickly adjusts to the environment to highlight the best attributes of the bride and groom. Easy to talk to, helps bring the vision together, and blends into the wedding so you receive some of the best authentic / unscripted photos.

I had the pleasure of watching Lee work a wedding. As a photographer myself I pay attention to others and Lee did such a great job. His attention to detail for the perfect shot is fantastic. He stayed on his feet and busy the whole time and did great with any last minute changes made. Genus great with any lighting thrown his way and I definitely recommend him!

I was the hair and makeup girl for a styled shoot that Lee shot for and his photos were amazing! I love the rustic and romantic vibe he created through the camera. He captured all of the laughs and the process of getting ready. I would recommend him to any and all of my brides! :)

Lee was probably one of the best photographers we’ve encountered. He has a natural eye for photography, and set us up for images that last a lifetime. We got our photos back 3 DAYS after the wedding. It was also very beautiful him getting to know us and us getting to know him prior to the wedding. When he arrived it just felt like family. Our photos turned out elegant and beautiful.

Our wedding pictures were absolute perfection! My husband and I have a love for baking together. In our first call together to get to know each other, we shared this with Lee. He had some fun, creative ideas of how to reflect this. He took the time to find a bakery that stayed open late for us and we had some fun! He personalized the experience AND the pictures were a dream! He is a true artist.

Lee is a fantastic wedding photographer. The communication and punctuality from day 1 of hiring Lee, all the way up to the communication and punctuality days before/day-of the wedding, was excellent. He is very personable and wants nothing more than to provide his absolute best work and fulfill any and all of the couple's dream photos. He is very patient with the chaos that comes with the wedding day, and he worked so well alongside the videographer that I hired. They ended up making a wonderful duo to capture my wedding day! Waiting on the sneak peak photos took a little bit longer than anticipated, but WOW the photos are phenomenal once you get them! I only have the sneak peak pics so far, but the photography is unmatched. The photos captured are so unique, and I absolutely love his style of wedding photography. I cannot WAIT to get alllllll of the photos from the wedding!

It needs to be known that this is literally one of the most talented and emotionally dedicated photographers out there. From my experience, my best advice when planning a wedding is to put most of your budget on your venue and your photographer. The best thing about Lee is you will get A+++++ captured moments and edited pictures while not breaking your budget. This man not only knew what I wanted without telling him, but also gave me the direction to get the pictures I didn’t even think were possible. The best part of all of it, is Lee became apart of the party and my family and friends loved him. The photographer was the first person I hired because they are the most important to me because we will have photos forever to look back on! I am so happy with the choice I made by choosing this company. The shooters that were sent were awesome, they took their time and helped me not be so stressed about everything. They are also helped out tremendously with anything I needed besides taking photos. Jennifer and Drew were the ones sent to capture everything, Jennifer was super personable and made me feel comfortable about everything! Absolutely amazing! From start to finish, Lee was so professional and responsive, and just completely hit it out of the park. We received our sneak peeks in less than a week and we can’t stop looking at them and can’t believe how perfectly they captured the day! Lee was awesome to work with and was available for quick talks and text messages throughout the planning process. On the day of the wedding, he was patient with all my requests and a took gorgeous photos of the wedding! Lee was also able to get me a sneak peek within three days and is currently working on the rest of the photos to send over!

Lee was absolutely amazing! I hired him to shoot my wedding a pretty long day (11 hours). Started in the bridal and groom suite with some pre ceremony pictures and first look with my dad which was so sentimental. After receiving the photos I was so incredibly happy with the editing and the shots he took I requested. He worked great with all my guests and family members and made sure to hear me out and ask if I wanted any other photos before proceeding to different scenes! Honestly 1000/10 and would recommend to capture your most important day! Thank You Lee!

We could not recommend Lee more highly. The pictures themselves were everything we could have hoped for, but Lee did so much more for us than just take excellent pictures. First, the pictures themselves: I don’t think that we have ever looked as cool and sexy and sharp as we do in those pictures. There are fun pictures and cute pictures, and pictures with dark shadows and a creepy Alice-in-Wonderland vibe that we were going for. One of our sister-in-laws is a professional wedding photographer and she was especially impressed with Lee’s work. Second, Lee is a lot of fun to hang out with. If you haven’t ever gotten married before, you probably don’t realize how much of your wedding day will be spent with your photographer. More than any other vendor, your photographer is the one where it matters if you have fun talking to and hanging out with them as a person. For us, Lee was the perfect person to talk to. Very relaxed, but with a sense of fun and excitement too. Third, there are a few specific ways that Lee went above and beyond for us. He has a sense of adventure as a photographer, and he found a way to get us through a barbed wire fence (while in dress and suit) in order to nab some amazing photos in the fields on the side of a mountain on our venue. If you are game for something and willing to try it, Lee will find a way to make it happen. Lee is also very capable of being sensitive to complex family dynamics. He was careful to make sure that some photos which would have caused unnecessary drama were not included in the general cache of photos that we shared with family members. Lee was absolutely worth the money, and you should absolutely hire him, especially if you are aiming to have a somewhat quirky or alternative ceremony.

THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS!!! Lee was beyond wonderful to work with, not only day-of, but leading up to our special day. He was always on top of everything, making sure my now Husband and I were ready to go and made sure we had fun in the process. Lee is one of a kind! His photos are beautiful but even more so is the passion for his work with others. I was disabled in 2016 and being a bride is already nerve-racking but even more so from my wheelchair. I was anxious to find a photographer who would work well with me and capture great memories. Lee was so calming and encouraging while giving great direction. He never ran out of ideas or patience. lol. We were on the west coast trying to arrange a photographer for a wedding on the east coast and Lee made it all so easy and put us at ease. Lee was at the venue in plenty of time. So professional but very friendly. He kept everyone moving where they needed to be but not pushy or impatient. It was very chilly outside but Lee kept showing us the beautiful shots he was getting and gently suggested to endure the cold to get the most outstanding pictures, which he did. He captured the beauty of the venue but also the personalities and emotions of those in the wedding party. We absolutely recommend him.
