Alchemy Creative did our couple's engagement shoot (where Brittany also did hair and make-up), so when Wedding Day arrived we knew we were in great hands. She really connected with the Bride and Groom, and as a result, they were themselves, and very relaxed in front of her camera lens. I don't know how to say that someone is supportive and caring, while being no-nonsense....but Brittany is! Frankly, with all of the special shots you are trying to capture at a wedding, that combination is perfect....get the groups shots done, then let pople go enjoy the party! She also captured so many sweet moments, we might have otherwise missed...and again, this is in just the first 30 photos! Like every mother, I think I have a beautiful daughter, who was a beautiful bride. However, she hasn't always taken great photos (think school pictures and retakes, almost every year! LOL!). Brittany makes her feel beautiful inside and out, and every shot was a gorgeous. Thank you, Brittany! While she is indeed an artist, Brittany is also very organized, sending photo tips, checklists and other useful info months in advance, so that when Wedding Day comes, her plan is ready to execute...and if you need a last minute securing of a veil on awindy day, or make-up touch up....she's the perfect choice of a wedding photographer!

ion. Unfortunately, I trusted Brittany too much after seeing our engagement pictures and how great they were, and took her suggestion to use the videography side of Alchemy for our wedding day. The wedding pictures were still great. But the video was awful. The first time I watched it I literally cried in disbelief. It was 10 minutes long, shot from the ground-up angle, heads chopped off, choppy music, shots of the parking lot and empty water glasses, and a few sentences that should have been our vows but you couldn’t understand them. Even a few shots with the photographer in them. Each shot was only a few seconds long and it looks like it was taken on an iPhone. I understand the videography is a newer side to the business but I would have hired someone more experienced if I knew how bad the video would have been. The worst part...I emailed Brittany expressing my concerns and NEVER got a response. Not the best business tactics in my opinion. And then they have the guts to use a shot from our wedding video on the front page of the videography section on their website...but not even post our video on the site because of how terrible it is. My advice, use them for photography or nothing at all. Also, if you have an issue, don’t expect a response. Highly disappointing/ unprofessional.

irst time the day before our ceremony. She suggested a sunrise “engagement shoot” after our initial engagement shoot was cancelled due to weather, so we could meet before the big day. This involved her getting up at 4am just to make us feel comfortable and beautiful. Those feelings lasted the whole weekend - Brittany made every single moment of our wedding perfect - not just the incredible photos. She fixed our flower crowns, snuck me gummy bears & ice cream on the dance floor, and even stayed extra late to capture our send off. I wish we lived closer so we could experience her infectious personality (and professionalism) more often.

But she goes above and beyond. Getting dressed a button came off my dress, she immediately volunteered to sew it back on, remaining calm. Then she held onto my lipstick and all night would re-apply for me. Mid-way through dancing, she was by my side doing a quick up-do with my hair since we were sweaty :) She keeps things fun and has the right instincts for ensuring your day runs smoothly for you. Then when it came to our photos, she made us feel at ease, we were all laughing, and she captures the essence of people so well. After our wedding, the next day, we had sneak peek photos that we all cried over. How does she do that? They are stunning, beautiful natural light, capturing laughter, emotion, and such beauty. Brittany basically planned out our day by making a schedule of where we needed to be and when. She picked an amazing spot for our first look and it was one of our favorite moments of the day. She also did my hair and makeup with no directions. I didn't know what I wanted so I left it up to her and she outdid herself. Overall she made our day so simple and stress free. We got our photos back in less than two months (she had quite a few other weddings to photograph/edit, not to mention her own wedding to plan!). We can't say thank you enough.

Even with my high expectations, Brittany has exceeded my expectations with a whole beautiful photo album of wedding photos, none of them which captured a bad angle of me. we haphazardly found at a few wedding events and asked our wedding planner for help. Brittany did not disappoint. I met her over a beer on a weekday to chat about our wedding, our style, and what we were hoping for. Here's the number one thing I love about Brittany - she puts you at ease in the first minute. We're a lesbian couple and that was super important for us. We didn't want someone we didn't feel comfortable with and this is true for any couple getting married. You want someone who feels like they're a guest, that fits in, that puts you at ease so you can be your true selves in front of the camera. She did just that. I seriously cannot emphasize how wonderful she is - she knows when it's a moment for a laugh, when it's a quiet moment, and when we needed a down moment. Beyond her incredible personality and tact, her professionalism, value, and flexibility were top notch. She showed up to every appointment on time, prepped, and ready to roll. When she had Idea A for the wedding and we suggested Idea B, she followed-up with a way to make our Idea B even better. She doesn't roll into a wedding with a pre-determined idea of what you need- she listens, advises, and makes the magic happen. She is a dream. Do NOT pass her up! OH! And can I add that our photos are UNBELIEVABLE and exactly what we wanted! AND that she turned them around in like 3 weeks?! Who else does that?! Hire this woman and buy her chocolates.
