Everyone was raving about how beautiful I looked and I felt so confident and happy. The hair and makeup lasted all day and night, even through tears, hugs, kisses, and dancing. They gave me a little packet of emergency items to touch up my hair and makeup, but I didn't even need them. They did such a great job that everything stayed in place and looked fresh and fabulous. I cannot thank Alder Hair Studio enough for their incredible work and for making me feel so special on my wedding day. n time in the morning and got to work! They bring their own ring lights and seats so you're not dependent on good hotel room lighting and chairs (luckily). They did a beautiful job on our hair and makeup to a one. They totally got the vibe of the wedding and made sure each of us had a look that we loved. Beyond just doing an amazing job, they are some of the nicest, funniest, kindest ladies you could meet. It felt like having two extra friends in the room with all of us! Both my hair and makeup help up beautifully throughout the day. My pictures from 11:00 am look the same as my pictures from 8:00 pm. Eventually I did need to take my hair out (TOTALLY not Kristen's fault - she locked it down with bobby pins but I may have done a little too much head banging at the reception), and when I did, Kristen had done my hair in such a way that it still looked sexy and fun - not like a crazy rat's nest. I don't know how she did it, honestly. Overall, my experience with Alder, and with Kristen and Ann's wedding services, was phenomenal. Competitive rates, great service, and really stellar gals. I would recommend them to anyone in the Kalamazoo/West MI area and I'm so happy I booked with them for my big day.

st for my hair based off of the inspiration picture I showed her! I felt beautiful after my trial, but made a few adjustments in the end. Kristen made sure to execute each of them on the big day and my hair looked even more beautiful than I could have imagined. It also stayed in all night, despite my constant dancing and headbanging to the music! My whole wedding party looked and felt beautiful, as well. Kristen is 100% worth every penny, as she is a master of her craft!

travelled onsite to the Airbnb (bright and early!) where us girls were getting ready and brought all of her things with her. She made it effortless for us to get ready for the day. I cannot rave enough about how much I loved my hair - it was exactly what I was envisioning, I got so many compliments on it, and it literally still takes my breath away in our wedding photos. I would HIGHLY recommend doing a trial beforehand, as we did have to make a few tweaks after my trial to make sure we got it absolutely perfect - but she nailed it!! Kristen is so talented at what she does and is so fun to work with - I would highly recommend working with her for your big day!

appointment with Kristen to do a trial and she was GREAT about helping me figure out what didn't work with the other vendor and what I could do to achieve the look I wanted on my wedding day. She did my hair in a beautiful, elegant, vintage-inspired and natural looking partial up-do. It was exactly what I was looking for! She also did the hair of two of my bridal party - one with should-length fine hair, and the other with waist-length think hair. She made all of our styles fabulous and we all felt beautiful! I loved working with her so much I now go to her for my regular haircuts! I highly recommend her! Thank you, Kristen, for your part in making my day perfect!

When I initially was not happy with my hair she was understanding and welcoming, and made me feel as though she wanted to make sure I felt like my hair was perfect.
