We obviously wanted pics of us as the bride and groom, but we hand-selected a small group of people to attend amid a pandemic so they really are the most special people in our lives. Having photos of them is such a treasure. On the day of the wedding, Alec was so kind and jumped right into our day. He befriended the wedding party and helped them feel at ease when he was photographing them. People were like "wow it's like he's part of the day blending in with us so we just be ourselves instead of being nervous about being in front of a camera" and "he's always there but not invading, it's like he's part of us". He let my husband and I be our goofy selves and didn't pose us into anything stiff or uncomfortable and because of that the photos are perfect because they're wholly and completely us. Now that we are seeing the pictures, people have told us "wow it's like we are back there on that day" and "it's exactly like it happened." It really feels like you're back on that day when going through the photos. Which is exactly what wedding photography is all about! I highly recommend hiring Alec to document your day. You will not regret it. We will treasure these images forever and they will always, always take us back to the most special day of our lives. We cannot thank him enough for preserving these precious memories with our favorite people!

He came to the 12th street bridge with us, the Ship and then took amazing pictures at the reception. I am absolutely in love with our pictures. Everyone we have showed them to has commented about how much these pictures are "us". I have not been able to stop looking at them, and he sent us hundreds! It is going to be hard to pick which ones we want to hang up! He got pictures of everything. He is a great guy, flexible, and has serious talent. I would recommend him to anyone.

Even though he took a separate car from the bridal party, he always arrived at the next locations before we did, and was set up and ready to go when we got there. He took some posed photos that we asked for throughout the night, but he also took so many candid photos of everyone there. I truly think he got a good photo of almost every guest! He also pulled my husband and I aside just before it was time for him to go and made sure to get a few last shots of us. The pictures turned out just as beautifully as we had hoped, and we really will treasure them forever. No one would regret booking Alec!

On the day of he was on time in the morning and stayed with us until the very end of the night. I was pretty nervous at the beginning of the day and he was great about putting my mind at ease! So many of the photos make me smile or laugh thinking of that moment in time. The photos of my husband and I are stunning, he made us look like models! Alec's personality and demeanor are ideal to work with- especially for a wedding. He is calm and laid back, and at the same time responsible and professional. That wasn't the case with Alec, however. His disarming and encouraging presence enabled my loved ones to come out of their shell and look naturally happy in pictures! The wedding party photos were incredible, of course! What we loved most was the authenticity of the day portrayed through the photos. Every time we look through them we are caught up in the day again, and its wonderful. We would hire him for anything!!

His candid pictures capture the intimacy and emotions of the day in a way that will transfix you each time you look at your photos. He will also take you up on any adventure! For my wedding, he was willing to go to a loft in a barn that I loved as a child. Now, this could have gone wrong in so many different ways, but it didn't. And his pictures- friends- they were INCREDIBLE! Keep in mind, he will also take the standard posed photos (that your mom or grandma might want), but I would say just let him do this thing- he will get it right on so many different levels. Alec is incredibly gifted!!! He is also exceptional with his turnaround time on his work. He sent me at least one photo the very next morning so I could update my social media as the new Mrs. AND- I love the fact that I can still access all of the photos. Alec doesn't make you pick a handful to buy from his prints. Seriously, I can have every last photo, forever. In and of itself, that is worth every penny you might spend. All that being said, Alec is PHENOMENAL! His work is BREATHTAKING! If I had to do it again, I would still choose Alec!
