Jana is a brilliant photographer with a joyous personality that can bring out the charisma in anyone. She will make your shoot fun, authentic, and the photos will be breathtaking. You won't want it to end! We had opted for a public beach for our engagement photos, and we were initially shy, but Jana has a way about her that immediately put us at ease, and we had a incredibly fun shoot that resulted in photos we absolutely adore. She is so optimistic, energetic, excited, she makes it impossible not to have a great time, and then she captures that fun on camera. She is also an absolute professional and collaborative partner throughout the entire process, from initial conversations, through our engagement photo session, planning the wedding photos, and of course the day itself. She was just as brilliant with large groups, organizing bodies, as she was with just the two of us. Several of our family and friends also commented on how great she was. And to top it all off, the photos are absolutely GORGEOUS. If you want someone whose energy adds to the day without distracting, who feels like part of the family, and yet can blend into the background, then Jana is your person. We'd hire her again in a heartbeat.

Hands down, the best wedding photographer ever!!! Jana was our photographer, and she truly brought all my wedding dreams to life. From our engagement shoot to the wedding day, every single photo was breathtaking — I honestly can’t even pick a favorite! Jana has this incredible ability to capture us as a couple, making the entire process so much fun. We’re not models and tend to get a bit awkward in front of the camera, but she made us feel so comfortable and effortlessly brought out the best in us. On the big day, her energy was infectious, and she captured every single moment perfectly. We also decided to add 35mm film to our package, and I can confidently say it was the second best decision we made, right behind choosing Jana as our photographer. We had a great experience using Alex and Jana for our wedding. We were able to get a great sense of their passion, style and skills from our initial call. We had originally contracted Alex, the owner, to be our photographer, however, he became sick with Covid two days before our wedding. This was communicated to us immediately with a plan identifying our new photographers and assuring us that our memories would still be beautifully captured. Christine stepped in as our lead photographer and along with the other photographer we felt comfortable and at ease on the day of our wedding. The communication and professionalism with which the situation was handled along with the warmth of the team really makes Alex and Jana stand out. We were also pleasantly surprised to get a “sneak peak” of our photos 2 weeks after our wedding and we are so excited to see the rest! JANA WAS AMAZING! 1000/10 would recommend. She did our engagement photo shoot as well as our wedding day. The photos were perfect and beautiful. She made both of us feel comfortable while shooting, as my husband and I are pretty awkward in front of the camera. Jana is personable, friendly, communicative, and is a true master of her craft. We just got our photos back from our July wedding and I am blown away!!! I feel like I relived the entire day looking back at the photos. Alex got the most perfect shots of everybody that night. Long overdue review! We had the pleasure of having Alex & Jana photograph our wedding in October and we could not be happier with our decision. I reached out to them with an online inquiry and they got back with me immediately. From the get go, the process was SO seamless. We purchased a package that included an engagement shoot (which I highly recommend so you can get comfortable with your photographer before your wedding day!!) We wanted to do our engagement shoot in our home and Alex arrived prepared with all the equipment and fun ideas for photos. Alex made my husband and I feel SO comfortable - he is so calm, professional, funny, and friendly. We absolutely LOVED how our engagement photos came out, so we were totally confident when our wedding day came around. Fast forward to our wedding day, Alex arrived at the hotel I was getting ready at. Alex was SUPER organized, on schedule, and managed to get a ton of great shots in the midst of the morning-of madness (brides, you know how that is!). Throughout our entire wedding day, Alex kept everyone organized, gave clear instructions, and helped the day run SO smoothly. He even managed to get a ton of photos of the decor and all of our guests, which I so appreciated! When we got our wedding photos back, we were amazed. From prewedding, to first look, to the ceremony, to the reception, Alex managed to get SO MANY great shots. I cannot say enough terrific things about Alex and Jana. After the first meeting, I knew I met the photographer for my day. Alex is such a calming individual, as I rambled on an on Alex took notes and was so encouraging. In the months leading up to the wedding, I was a basket case, I was forgetting things. Alex was terrific in reminding me about what he needed before the wedding. Alex was also terrific in responding to emails, answering texts, and phone calls. Nothing was ever left unanswered. The day of the wedding I got the opportunity to work with Jana who is an absolute GEM. Jana has an infectious and cheerful personality, I could not help but to smile when she was around. Jana even helped my mom with my dress! When we were taking the portraits, Jana was quick and efficient. She noticed when the littlest members of our wedding party were getting squirley and needed to have their photos taken. She made me feel beautiful on my day!! I also got a sneak peak of my photos and I am so glad I hired Alex and Jana! If you're hunting for a photographer, hire Alex and Jana! you won't regret it!!

LOOK NO FURTHER! We had a decent-sized list of photographers to check out for our wedding, and Alex ended up being our 3rd “interview”. As soon as we got off the phone with him, we tossed out the rest of the list and hired Alex and Jana. We made the right decision - leading up to the wedding, the communication was excellent and made us feel at ease. Jasmyn ended up shooting our wedding and she was AMAZING - she made something that we feared would be awkward (who likes posing for photos?) into a fun, comfortable, enjoyable experience! We had lots of laughs (sorry for my “director” groomsman 😏) and she captured one of the best days of our lives in the most beautiful way. She had such a calm and lighthearted approach to maneuvering us for flattering shots, and our entire wedding enjoyed her presence. We worked with Alex for our engagement and wedding photos and he was absolutely amazing. We must have interviewed 5 or 6 photographers, Alex being the last, and connected immediately. The search was finally over! He was fun yet professional, a hard thing to do, and always quick to respond. And, was also patient with us and our very old dog during the engagement session. Then, leading up to the wedding asked for a few prep calls to ensure we had the important moments and photos in mind, connected on the timeline, and everything needed to ensure a flawless day of pictures. As much as we wanted him to capture our important moments, we also did not want to be the only photos in the album. With 60 guests at a Cabo resort and a beach wedding, we wanted the photos to allow us to see all the moments we missed with our guests while we were busy catching up with people. Almost every guest is captured in a number of action shots with funny moments, odd dance moves to make us laugh, and other couples enjoying a dance together. We get to see our guests enjoying the day too! He was also sure to capture the little things: Wedding dress before the bride put it on, wedding rings together with a wedding invitation, the ceremony and receptions areas before guests arrive, the party favors, the decorations, and everything we could need to remember the full day in the future. Among all the positives above, possibly my favorite thing is that he fit in well with our friends. Had Alex put the camera down and grabbed a beer he would have fit right in (we were honestly a little sad he didn't for 15 minutes or so, just to take a break and enjoy himself...again, truly professional.) He is always smiling, positive energy, and just laughed when we said something that probably should have been obvious. Last, but one of the most important. Turnaround time and quality of photos. Alex was up front that the turnaround time is not short. Editing takes time, and he takes a TON of shots. Alex had about 40 edited and beautiful photos to us within the first week, also being some of the most important, which was perfect so we could use one for our thank you cards. We knew it would take around 2 months for the rest, and at the 2 month mark we received a link to download more than 600 amazing and edited, high resolution photos. Noting, I said "download". While there is an option for a flash drive, we use Google and Amazon photos, so downloading to these services was perfect for us. There is an option for all guests to do the same as well, though we shared the Google album with them, and directed them to Alex's portal if they wanted to buy canvas prints, etc. Like I said, there were amazing shots of our guests as well (at least one is already using for his new professional headshot). We could not have been happier with our experience with Alex. A wedding is a day we hope only happens once, and that usually means the couple has no idea what to expect...first time rookies. Alex made it so easy for us. We could not give a higher recommendation. It's really a bummer I can't post a few photos here to demonstrate everything I've said above. Thank you so much Alex! Jana was beyond amazing. I wish I had more words to describe how wonderful she was! She did our engagement shoot in La Jolla in April 2021 and those photos came out BEAUTIFUL. It ended up being an overcast evening which we were bummed about but Jana worked her magic and we LOVE our photos. We got two canvas prints and had them up at our wedding where she was with us all day!! She just makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera and makes it fun!!! Cannot recommend her enough.

Alex and Jana are amazing to work with! I originally met with Alex to go over packages and details and then Jana who was my photographer on the big day. They are both very down to earth and so fun. Packages were very reasonably priced and they worked with my budget to form the right one for us. Jana planned everything out so well and was able to capture all the moments that were important to me even with my big family! She kept us on track and also made the day fun. Not to mention the pictures!! Everything came out amazing from the details photos to our wedding party photos and the romantic shots of just us are breathtaking.
