I don't think I would have survived wedding panning - maybe even my wedding day - if it wasn't for Alex! I like to think of Alex as part photographer, part wedding planner, and part bridal attendant - she did it all! She gave us so many amazing recommendations for different vendors, helped us create our full timeline for the big day, and constantly made sure we were doing alright during the wedding. Both my husband and I are generally awkward/ uncomfortable in front of a camera, but Alex made us feel completely at ease and we had a blast taking our engagement and wedding day photos with her. She is also incredible intuitive and could tell right away during photos if I was feeling overwhelmed and she would call for breaks which was awesome! If you are considering hiring Alex for your own wedding, DO IT RIGHT NOW!! She is the absolute best and you will love her!!

If I could give Alex more than 5 stars I would!! We hired Alex for my “second” wedding (my husband and I had gotten married October 2020 with just our immediate family) and the photos are more than I could have imagined. A month before the wedding Alex sent out a questionnaire for the photos we were looking for and it was so detailed and specific I knew I would be getting exactly what I wanted. On the day of the wedding Alex and her assistant were focused and calm and that was exactly what I needed on such a hectic day. Everything was absolutely perfect and I cannot recommend Alex enough you will not be disappointed!!

Alex is seriously the best. We came from out of town and so glad we found her. First, the photos were AMAZING and the gallery preview the very next day made me relive my wedding a second time. She captured every emotion… laughter, tears, motion, dogs, everything. We also had 22 in our bridal party and between that and our large families, Alex’s organization was paramount. We flew through the majority of photos before the ceremony in such an organized fashion everyone was amazed. Alex and her team knew exactly who was to be in each photo and then called out who was in the next. It was perfectly planned. We even had time to mingle during cocktail hour. She delivered so many photos I had a hard time narrowing down my favorites. What a wonderful problem to have! She made it possible to remember every detail from our wedding day. We can’t wait to work with her more in the future!!!

Alex was the absolute best photographer. She was so accommodating especially with all of our date changes due to Covid. She gave us a timeline for the day which helped to make the day go smoothly & captured all of our special moments on our special day. We loved the fact that we got our preview of our pictures by the next day which of course we were dying over they were so amazing! Then within a month of our wedding we got our full gallery. Where do I even begin? Alex is one of a kind. From the first time we spoke, I just felt so comfortable with her and it was like I had known her forever. Alex is a phenomenal photographer and we could not have asked for anyone better to work with! My husband and I had such a great time with Alex at our engagement shoot and our wedding, which is saying something because my husband hates getting his photo taken. She was so flexible and understanding as we navigated postponing and then downsizing our wedding. She helped us craft a timeline for the wedding, and made sure we stuck to it so that we had enough time for all the photos that we wanted. And those photos (which we had a preview of in less than 24 hours) were absolutely stunning! We were both blown away and will cherish them always. Alex Healy was an absolute dream to work with for my mid-August wedding! She was so helpful in the run-up to the wedding, answering questions and crafting timelines for me, the wedding novice. She was so kind when we had to keep moving our engagement shoot due to work and the pandemic and was so flexible in coming out to us a few days before the wedding. I had far more fun at the engagement shoot than I thought I would- I was stressed with wedding stuff and thought it would be awkward posing in front of someone I'd never met in person before. On the contrary, Alex makes you feel like you've been friends for a long time and totally put us in the right mindset. Seriously...look no further than Alex at White Poppy Weddings. From start to finish, she was one of our only vendors who we truly trusted to do everything she said. We had a phone call with her to discuss what we wanted and knew immediately that this was someone who knew what they were doing and we felt totally comfortable with her. She answered countless emails gladly and promptly (something that can be hard to find but makes all the difference). We had total peace of mind knowing that she was going to give us amazing photos/memories of our day. What we didn't expect was how much her professionalism and talent would mean to us on our wedding day. Our event coordinator (the 3rd one actually) quit two days before our wedding. You can imagine the emotional toll it took on us 48 hours before our wedding. Needless to say, it was a very stressful and busy two days for us. Alex photographed our wedding this past weekend, and I cannot be happier that we hired her. She was so organized and helped make the day go smoothly. Not only is her pricing incredibly fair and reasonable, but her ability to capture the best moments in the best way is incredible. Something I was nervous about was coordinating the details of our day, as we live in Florida, Alex lives in New York, and our wedding was in New Jersey. Alex navigated this like a pro, did her research on my ceremony and reception venues, and was ready to go even without scouting the locations (which she offers—but being in so many different places my husband and I decided we would just trust her judgment the day of. She nailed it). She asked us all the right questions during the planning stages to gauge what we were after. She created a timeline for us and for our vendors to help everything on track and on time. She did an incredible job coordinating our huge families for photos in quick and efficient way. We felt at ease the entire day because of her guidance. Not only was her execution of the day on point, but we had a preview gallery of hundreds of photos within 24 hours. I cried all over again seeing the way she captured our day on paper. The pictures she took of my husband and I depict our love in a glowing way (as she captured that “golden hour” fantastically). Her photos are what I’ve dreamed of since I was a little girl, and I’m so happy we chose her to capture my vision. Every time I look at them, I tear up all over again. She truly made our wedding day magical, all while being a fly on the wall and never a bother. She was vital in our planning process from day one. My fiancé and I are both military and planned our wedding from a far, mostly using the Knot’s reviews. The photographer was the most important to us and when we were looking at the work of artists in the Hudson Valley we absolutely loved the soft feel of Alex’s pictures. You could feel the emotion of each moment without looking at an overly edited picture. They all looked so natural and beautiful. When we opened our gallery after the wedding we were blown away by how perfectly she captured every moment with just enough editing to make it look even more gorgeous. As a bride who was nervous about how she would look, Alex made me feel beautiful in my pictures! Working with Alex was incredible. She is so punctual when it came to answering phone calls, texts, and emails. She knows how wedding planning can be stressful and her process just makes it so easy. She sent us a questionnaire to help tailor which photos and what “looks” we were going for. She also used this to draft a timeline for our day which was great because we had no idea how to line up each event and where to tell everyone to go. Her online portal is so great for handling contracts and payment. Her gallery is also an awesome way for you to quickly see pictures (did I mention we got our previews within 24 hours of our wedding??? And it wasn’t just two or three, there were a bunch to enjoy!!) and we were able to share easily with family and friends so they didn’t bug us for a ton for pictures. She is so efficient when it comes to getting wonderful pictures of your day but also just letting you have a fun time while she does all the work of capturing it. Alex with White Poppy Weddings is everything you want in a wedding photographer! From the get-go everything was easy with her. She responded quickly to emails, proposed an equidistant location to meet for the first time, came prepared with answers to all our questions, and provided sample photos/contract for us to see. Upon booking she also included a scout of our venue to plan out photos and set up a timeline for the day. These things may sound automatically included or “duh” things with a wedding photographer, but they’re not. We met with other photographer vendors who didn’t offer it or were unprepared. Alex was really professional, and immediately put us at ease. I knew right away after meeting with her that we would book her because of her professionalism and because she’s easygoing and sociable - exact qualities you want in your photographer since they’re with you the entire wedding day! Onto the actual day - Alex is ON IT with the timeline. We were racing the daylight with a December 1st wedding and I really appreciated her keeping us totally on schedule despite some MIA bridesmaids, misplacing the marriage license, leaving the bouquets in the hotel room, etc. We were able to get all our photos done with plenty of time and we even made the end of our cocktail hour which I thought for sure we would miss. Secondly, I stressed to Alex a few times that I wanted photos beyond ones of just me and my husband. I wanted photos of our guests having fun – and she totally delivered. We have so many fun photos of our friends and family dancing and mingling. They’re perfect. Finally, our pictures…are AMAZING! We are thrilled with how everything came out. Alex is a super talented photographer and we can’t even decide which ones are our favorite because they are all beautiful. All our friends and family complimented on how well she captured the day. Words cannot begin to describe how incredibly talented Alex is. We had our engagement session at Bear Mountain State Park and had an absolute blast. Alex was awesome to work with - no fuss, down-to-earth, affordable, and a great photographer! We loved the images we received - she really focused on exactly what we wanted; documenting real emotions instead of posed fantasies.
