We had such a great experience with Alex and his team for our wedding at Nanina’s in the Park in May 2026! From the time we first booked, Alex was always easy to communicate with, ...
clear, responsive, and helpful. We really appreciated being able to book everything together through him including photography, videography, the photo booth, and our wedding album, which made the whole process so much easier for us.
On the wedding day, Alex and his team were on top of everything from start to finish. We actually didn’t provide a detailed photo shot list, but they made everything work flawlessly. They were great at directing us when needed, helping us with posing and posture, and making everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera. They captured so many great moments of not only the two of us, but also our families, friends, and guests throughout the entire day.
Our reception had a lot going on, including several special dances, a photo dash challenge, and even a Pokémon “bouquet-style” toss, and Alex and his team managed to capture all of it perfectly without ever making anything feel forced or disruptive. The photo booth was also a huge hit with our guests, and we loved that we were able to keep the scrapbook filled with everyone’s photos and messages afterward.
Most importantly, the finished photos, video and album came out absolutely spectacular. Looking through everything really lets us relive the day and all the little moments we might otherwise have missed.
We couldn’t recommend Alex and his team enough. They were professional, easy to work with, organized, and incredibly talented. We are so happy we chose them to capture our wedding!

ed us being natural rather than feeling staged. He captured all the authentic moments, laughs, and quiet interactions effortlessly, and the photos turned out amazing. We couldn't be happier with how everything turned out, and we're so glad to have him secured for our wedding!
We had the pleasure of working with Alex and Alec of Alex Kaplan Photo, Video & Photo Booth services for our vow renewal ceremony in May 2026 at HollyHedge Estates, and we could no...
t have been happier with the results.
From our very first conversations, Alex took the time to understand our vision and what we wanted to remember most about this special weekend. He helped create a beautiful collection of photos and video that captured not only my husband and me, but also our family and friends, the emotion of the day, and the incredible setting of HollyHedge Estates, including the gardens, fountains, and beautiful grounds.
Alex was with us from the very beginning of the day and documented every meaningful moment - from getting ready, to our vow renewal ceremony, cocktail hour, and finally our reception. He has an amazing ability to capture the overall feeling and energy of an event, and his perspective, creativity, and attention to detail truly came through in every image.
Throughout the day, Alex was professional, attentive, and always aware of what we needed. He made us feel comfortable, guided us when needed, and never hesitated when asked for special photos with certain guests or important moments we wanted captured. He was able to be both present and unobtrusive, allowing the day to unfold naturally while making sure nothing important was missed.
The photos and video gave us a way to relive our celebration and experience moments we may not have seen ourselves. We are so grateful for the care and artistry Alex and Alec brought to our weekend. If you’re looking for a photographer and videographer who truly listen, understand your vision, and create beautiful work with care and attention to detail, we highly recommend Alex Kaplan Photo, Video & Photo Booth services for your wedding or special event. We have had so many guests reach out to us about how amazing the photos were because we already got them back so quickly! We did not have to wait months like most companies make you wait. No matter where we asked to take a photo on the large campground they were always 100% supportive and there to capture the moment! They even came prepared with a sewing kit which came in handy to stitch up the grooms pants! Alex and his team made us feel very comfortable when taking photos and natural none of those crazy poses that make you feel awkward. Everyone still compliments our pictures and how beautifully they came out. We will cherish these memories for the rest of our lives. lentina, and Harold was our videographer. Alex and Harold were with me and the girls for getting ready pictures and were both super kind and helpful. I had made an extensive shot list that I later did cut down a bit but they had it on their phones and any that we skipped they double checked with me first! We were also given an eta for photo and video that was in January 2024 but we ended up getting our photos back on November 30! We received both a Dropbox link to download the high quality files and a gallery link that we were able to share. We are looking forward to getting the video as well! We also asked for (and received within a day) all of the outtakes that weren’t in the gallery at no extra charge. I’m glad we asked because there were some great pictures in that batch, but totally understand that they can’t put everything in a gallery! Update: We also just got our video and were very happy with it!

and professional as well as personable and punctual throughout the entire process. My husband and I never took professional photos together before and he made us feel comfortable and at ease during the day. He accommodated our tight and chaotic schedule the day of the wedding and managed to get beautiful and unique shots at every location. Our photos were delivered within a week too! Our bridal party and guests made it a point to tell us the photos as well as Alex and his team were great! We would highly recommend working with Alex for a wedding as well as any other milestone or celebration!

e Airbnb I was staying at with my mom, three bridesmaids, father, nephew and grandmother. There, we took get ready photos. Harold went to my husband's Airbnb to take get ready photos. We all met up at the venue in the afternoon for the ceremony/reception. First of all... I really have to comment on how professional Alex and his team were. They were punctual, flexible, and totally personable! They fit right in on the morning of the wedding amidst the chaos of all the girls getting ready. Alex and his assistant were so incredibly sweet, considerate, and CALM. They asked me what music I'd like to hear which was such a lovely touch and instantly soothed me. They captured such special moments between my family, never pushed anyone to move faster, and were so great with my three-year-old nephew! And Harold, oh my gosh. So wonderful. The boys raved about him. He was so good at pumping the guys up and making them feel confident for their photos and it shows!! They had such a great time with Harold. When I met Harold at the venue, I could totally see why! He has this ability to command the room (come on, SO hard to do at a wedding) to get all the priority shots, but when those are checked off, flips the switch to party time and is back pumping everyone up! There just aren't even enough words to express how grateful we are to Alex and his team. They were so attentive, making sure my husband and I had snacks and drinks during downtimes. They were so good with my nephew (who had multiple meltdowns during shots but they were able to somehow get that kid to smile)! I know I already mentioned this, but I am just so impressed with how supportive the team was and not pushy... I was dead set on not doing a first look and Alex and his team supported this decision completely even when other people tried to talk me out of it. I just have to say that even if our pictures were terrible, I would still give Alex and his team a 5 star review just because we enjoyed them so much!! But our pictures were AMAZING! I have such incredible, candid photos of everyone. On the day I just kept saying, "All I need is one really great picture," but they are all truly fabulous. We will cherish looking back at our wedding forever because of the beautiful job Alex and his team have done!! We can't wait to give them more business!! Thank you again!! xoxo Kelly and Ryan

g parts of our wedding. Alex’s team photographed both my wife and I at two separate locations while we were getting ready for our wedding, and followed our timeline to absolute perfection. Alex and the team exceed all expectations with their photos that we just recently got back and followed our requests for the wedding pictures to a tee! I could not recommend Alex and his team more to a newly engaged couple looking for a wedding photographer, anyone who uses their services will be blown away. Thanks again for everything Alex and team!!

moments, emotions, and the day's story was phenomenal. The photographer's keen eye for detail, technical expertise, and natural sense of aesthetics were evident in every shot. With a perfect mix of candid and posed shots, each photo remembers a moment we'll cherish forever. The photographer's professional and friendly demeanor put everyone at ease, making the photoshoots a breeze. I highly recommend Alex Kaplan to those aiming to encapsulate memorable moments in beautiful frames! A real first-class job!
Review for the Videographer:
The videographer for my daughter's Sweet 16 was exceptional! The videography service was professional and incredibly well organized. They managed to capture the ambiance of the event, the excitement of the guests, and, most importantly, the sheer joy of my daughter on her special day. They effortlessly blended into the background, making everyone comfortable while filming candid moments. The final video was edited seamlessly with a beautiful soundtrack that added another dimension of emotion to the memory. The videographer has given us a time capsule that we will replay repeatedly. I couldn't ask for more!
Review for the Photo Booth:
Photobooth:
When a party has a photo booth is always fun, and the one for my daughter's Sweet 16 was top-notch! It included a wide array of funky props. It was a hit amongst the guests. It provided endless fun and laughter throughout the event and kept everyone engaged. The photo quality was excellent, and the prints were available instantly, making for delightful party favors. The booth operator was also incredibly friendly and helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable. It added a dynamic and interactive element to the event that was loved by all. I Highly recommend adding a part of the fun to any event!

ark, NJ, which to us was the most important setting. The team did a great job capturing the event. Later on, we took photos in Branch Brook Park & we got the nicest canvas there. eos from our wedding in June 2022. The team made sure all of the details were set well in advance of the day, and everything went smoothly with Alex, the second photographer, and both videographers. They made sure to capture all of the poses and locations we wanted throughout the day. The photos arrived quickly after the wedding and showcased our amazing day beautifully. The videos were worth the wait, though it took an extra month beyond the original due date to receive both the highlight video and longer video. We also received a print on photo paper instead of the canvas we ordered, but they quickly fixed the mistake. Especially given the reasonable pricing, we definitely would recommend Alex Kaplan to other couples in the area.
It was great working with Alex Kaplan. Jasmin did amazing at capturing our genuine reactions of love and joy and kept us on time. Even with the many iterations of family photos we ...
had! Highly recommend.
I booked Alex Kaplan for my surprise proposal photoshoot.
I contacted Alex about a month in advance to book my shoot, and he kept in touch with me as we got closer to the date of...
the proposal. I really appreciated the level of communication we had so he knew my vision for the shoot and was able to execute his role perfectly.
Alex was on time and was discreet when my girlfriend and I arrived to the proposal site. She was completely surprised by the proposal and didn’t even notice Alex was there capturing the moment.
We were very pleased with Alex’s genuineness, professionalism and creativity. This was our first time being photographed and Alex made it a fun and comfortable experience. He had so many fun ideas for shots, and overall we loved the results!! Weeks later and we can’t stop looking at those shots.
Also the turnaround for our pictures was very quick- got them back in less than a week. Highly recommend!!!
We hired Alex to do our wedding in May. The package we decided on included engagement photo session as well. Alex and his team was great to coordinate with. The engagement session ...
was really amazing and special. Alex kept things light, fun, and not rushed. He took his time, helping to capture the right pictures and poses. He also got along great with my husband, and made it more enjoyable for him. This carried over right into the wedding. Alex was always calm, and made sure the pictures we wanted he got. Even with the craziness of the day, and unplanned twists and turns, Alex and his team captured the day. I have recommended Alex to multiple couples we know and they booked because of how great the experience was for us. Alex is a great person, and his team and himself were just great to work with. I was a VERY picky bride and Alex made sure to get everything I wanted and made me feel special.
We got married in 6/22 and our pictures came out amazing. Our photographer was helpful every step of the way and totally responsive. Prices were also extremely reasonable

t anything I would want ANY individuals facing.
I had to call off my wedding since my ex-fiancé changed his mind on wanting children. I gave Alex this information ONE WEEK after sending complete, FULL payment. He did not offer any type of refund, partial, nothing. He did offer me to find someone to take my credit or for me to rebook in 2 years. BOTH options are absurd, 1. How do you expect someone to be in the right state of mind to re-marry that fast, and 2. Why am I going to search for clients for HIM? He withheld $4200 from me.
NONE of my other vendors did such a thing.
All vendors refunded me, regardless of their policy, they truly felt bad for me. They didn’t give sarcastic answers as Alex did such as, “I am sorry, have a good night and happy holidays”.
I booked/ cancelled in the month of September of 2022 with a wedding date in July of 2023, giving Alex PLENTY of notice.
Be VERY cautious with Alex Kaplan photography, he is not running a professional, caring business, and I would not want to see any brides unhappy with their experience as I am.
