Alex Paul is hands down BEST photographer, ever! My husband and I got married this August on Cape and we hired Alex Paul for our Engagement photos (Boston), Rehearsal dinner, + Wedding day photos (Cape Cod). I can’t say enough about how talented and professional Alex Paul is. He has such a fun, unique, candid approach that we LOVED. Not only is he an incredible photographer, but he is excellent at giving directions for pictures and is fast + efficient. Us and our entire bridal party was obsessed with both Alex and his second shooter, Kadri because they both made everyone feel at ease. Alex was able to fit right in with everyone and make us feel comfortable in front of the camera. There have been so much incredible feedback on interactions as well as the unbelievable quality of photos. My husband and I received our photos for each event (engagement, wedding, etc) SO quickly and we were impressed with his digital platform, it made it easy to download, post, and save the photos. He even gives the access to print though the portal as well! The pictures perfectly captured our special day and were EXACTLY what we were looking for. After much research, we could tell Alex had the eye for framing and capturing the moments in incredible ways. That was confirmed from our first meeting all the way to the day of the wedding. He was very professional in how he operated and an absolute joy to work with. His strongest attributes beyond his professionalism was definitely his ability to capture all the little moments in between the major ones and doing so with out actually feeling like he’s right there. He allows for moments to happen organically and his ability to anticipate those made for absolutely breathtaking photos that we will cherish forever. Even through 50 mph gusting storm, he was out there with a big smile on his face capturing us trying to hold the umbrella while trying to move to the reception area all while laughing with us at the situation. It’s those little moments that he gets in to capture that really makes for reliving the day that much more vivid.

I found Alex from another wedding I attended and fell in love with the pictures he took. He did an amazing job for our wedding and our pictures came out beautiful, I have received so many compliments! It was honestly very hard to pick just one for our thank you notes. Alex is the most incredible and talented photographer. He has such an eye for the most magical and beautiful shots. We got married as a hurricane moved up the East Coast in 2 inches of rain and WOW did Alex deliver an epic gallery of wedding pictures. He was out in the rain, soaking wet, with a smile on his face and his energy did not break the entire day long. We loved working with Alex and our friends and family raved about how awesome he was. We are blown away by all of our pictures. Looking through our gallery it is so fun to see the candid moments Alex captured. Our day is perfectly encapsulated in his pictures and we will cherish the memories forever.

We got the recommendation for Alex via Patty at Perfectly Coordinated. He was the absolute best! He scouted the venue prior to shooting and made the day enjoyable and not a chore. he spent a lot of time in mocking up the photos and gave us perfect directions and how to pose correctly for each shot. He made sure that he took all of the pictures that we had initially requested and took the time to take some unbelievable candid shots. The bride had a great time with him while shooting her getting ready with her friends. Such a nice gentleman! We knew we had made the perfect choice when he took care in setting everything up and ultimately making us kiss 500 times lol He was very punctual and professional and extremely friendly. We knew he was the right choice when we saw our friends pictures that they took behind him. Then when we got the sneak peek pictures two days later, they just confirmed the talent that he had and the correct choice we had made selecting him!

Alex is amazing to work with! Leading up to the wedding, he listened to all of my concerns, patiently answered all of my questions, responded to emails quickly, and was so helpful with the timeline and first-look decisions. Even after a hiccup with engagement photos (due to circumstances out of his control) that could have been disastrous, Alex was understanding, professional, kind, and worked with us to learn from the experience and help make things right. During the wedding, Alex went above and beyond to make sure we both had fun and got all of the shots we wanted. Additionally, Alex is your biggest hype person and great at giving directions on what to do in the pictures for posing. Lastly, Alex somehow is able to be both personable and professional. They say, when hiring your photographer, to make sure you find someone you are comfortable with since your photographer will be with you all day, and I can honestly say he was definitely our person for the job. We had so much fun shooting with him; there was not a moment I felt uncomfortable or unsure. The quality of his photos is phenomenal and I am obsessed with the teasers we received (the night of - so cool!), and I am extremely excited to see the final product. I can't say enough amazing things!

Alex was the very first vendor that I reached out to when we got engaged - he had previously photographed 3 of my good friends weddings and had done an absolutely incredible job, so I knew that we had to schedule our wedding around his availability. Due to covid, our engagement ended up being 3 years, and over the course of that time, we went through several iterations of planning and venue changes. Throughout all of them, Alex was so supportive, creative, flexible, and communicative, and empathetic - he answered every email that I sent promptly and with calmness and enthusiasm about the changes that we were considering and had great ideas about how to adjust our plans to fit the venue changes. By the time our wedding rolled around, it felt more like we were working with a good friend. Alex made us and our entire wedding party feel so comfortable and we had so much fun taking photos with him and his team on our wedding day. He knows so many of the great locations for photos around the cape and has worked with so many vendors that he adds a whole new level of creativity, joy, and organization to the wedding day. We could not be happier with how our photos turned out - Alex turned them around to us in just a few weeks and they are perfect! Our friend group continues to book him for their weddings because everyone has been so blown away by the quality of his work. Seriously, hire Alex immediately. Immediately. After being less-than-in-love with our engagement pics with another photographer, we decided to switch and hired Alex. We re-did our engagement pictures and literally the moment he got out of his car we connected. He’s so funny, so personable, and so talented. I was blown away by our engagement pictures. Further along in the wedding planning he helped guide decisions (first look, 2nd photographer, timeline, etc.) without pushing one way or another, and we felt he was really honest with pricing and expectations. Come wedding day he was punctual, fun, upbeat, and I just trusted him. It was so nice to just “be” on my wedding day. We got sneak peaks the next day and the full album 10 days later… my husband and I got to look through the pictures while sipping wine in Italy on the last day of our honeymoon. Best. Ending. Ever. Seriously - Alex was the best decision we made in our entire wedding planning. We’ll cherish our pictures forever… Could not recommend him more!

I truly cannot say enough about how amazing Alex is. We hired Alex for our wedding on Cape Cod and he was fantastic to work with every step of the way. He knew exactly what questions to ask us to find out what was important and provided a detailed timeline and planning, so we knew what to expect. We had an incredible experience with Alex on our wedding day in December 2021. We had booked with Alex pre-pandemic, and he stuck with us the whole way through for our rescheduled date a year later. Throughout the planning process, Alex was amazing - particularly because we were worried about outdoor weather in winter, ceremony timing due to shorter days, and holding all wedding events in a single space. Alex answered all of our questions, helped us make important decisions, and kept us reassured the entire process. We felt very confident in having Alex as our photographer and we were not disappointed. Alex kept the day moving, with a very large wedding party, huge family, and lots of moments we wanted to be captured. He and his second shooter (also named Alex) put everyone at ease with their professional manner, efficiency, and positive reinforcement. The day flew by - and with a blink it was all over. Yet - we received our sneak peak less than 48 hours later and suddenly had the most gorgeous pictures to remember the day. Alex has a great eye - and he definitely included many of what ended up being our favorites in the sneak peek. When we reviewed the full gallery of over 900 images, I tried my best to whittle down a social media album, somehow was still left with more than have the photos. It's a pretty great position when you have too many good ones to choose from. We would highly recommend Alex to anyone look for a best-in-class photographer to document and preserve memories from such a meaningful day. Thank you, Alex!

Stop. Do not read any more reviews. Book Alex right now. Professional, creative, SO fun to work with and honestly a genius. Alex did both our tiny 2020 elopement and our full 2021 wedding and captured all the great things, of course- pretty dress, flowers, people, ambiance etc. But what he really captures is the FUN, the inside jokes you have with your partner, the stuff you would never in a billion years to think of getting a photo of. I absolutely cherish our photos and I really don't think anyone but Alex could have captured what he did.

STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND BOOK ALEX NOW! Seriously! He is the best photographer to work with and makes the process so much fun. He involved everyone at the wedding but somehow made us feel like he wasn’t even there. The photographs of our wedding are something we will cherish forever and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Having a wedding in a pandemic was difficult enough, but we ended up with a surprise lightning storm too. Not to worry, Alex had a million ideas and we ended up feeling lucky that we had a downpour on our wedding day because we got such incredible pictures. He is able to capture the emotion and “feel” of the event, when you look at our pictures it feels like you are back at our wedding. After our wedding we had multiple friends book Alex for family photo sessions they were so impressed.

With so many options for wedding photography, we were initially overwhelmed by the choices. Then we found Alex and were amazed at his unique style and quality of photographs. We honestly could not recommend Alex Paul more strongly! Working with Alex was incredible --- he was organized and efficient, but most importantly his vision and creativity shone through. He would at times blend into the background or spring to action to offer direction when needed to ensure that he captured those special moments. And though we got married on a rainy December day, Alex found ways to make that a positive. After seeing results, we wouldn’t have wanted a different type of day. You will forever regret not using Alex Paul! We had Alex Paul booked as our photographer for our original date of August 23rd, 2020. We had to move our date due to COVID, but still wanted to do a mini ceremony and our reception in 2021. Alex was so accomodating and we were able to book him for both dates! Alex came to my parents house for a few before pictures, and from there captured our ceremony in a park by the ocean perfectly! He was great and wore a mask so we felt comfortable, even outside where it was not required. (Thank you Alex!) From there we went to a local landmark to wrap up our pictures as the new Mr. and Mrs with the sunset behind us... We had our previews the very next morning, this was the best surprise. I LOVE Alex's style for candids, relax and capture the moment - and he did that flawlessly! I can not wait for our part 2 in 2021 - We are so beyond thrilled with the pictures from our ceremony. You will not be disappointed with the memories Alex captures from your best day ever!

Alex is beyond amazing. He first captured our beautiful engagement photos in/around Boston. Not only is he an extremely talented photographer/professional but he is also very easy to be around/work with. Alex later supported my husband and I through our change in plans from a big wedding to a small COVID micro-wedding. Not only did he capture the most beautiful photographs of our day, but he even helped my mother pick out the perfect location to set up our "alter" on the beach, which made for the best ambiance and even more stunning photos. In the search for a photographer, we had calls with several Boston-area photographers and I didn't feel a connection with any of them. Having a photographer that you feel comfortable with is so important. After emailing Alex, he replied in approximately 5 minutes, and suggested that we meet in person to get to know each other. We met at our wedding venue and Alex's laid back, yet professional attitude exactly what we were looking for. After being a bridesmaid in several weddings, I can say that Alex was the most efficient wedding photographer I've ever encountered. He makes everyone feel comfortable and has a knack for getting amazing shots in only a few tries. Alex braved the cold with our entire wedding party (we had a December wedding and the weather was in the single digits at night) with a smile on his face and supported the audible that we called to add a location to our outdoor photos on the fly. I would recommend Alex to anyone getting married. We couldn't be happier with our pictures! Alex also promises a 2-week turnaround on all pictures and he delivered 100%, and even sent some sneak peak photos within 48 hours of our wedding. Thanks, Alex!!

Booking Alex was one of our very best wedding planning decisions! To say that we were BLOWN AWAY by Alex would be an understatement. Finding the right photographer was super important to us and Alex surpassed all of our expectations. From the beginning he was extremely communicative and professional but also fun and energetic. We live in New York and he graciously came to the city to take our engagement photo shoot. Posing for pictures can be awkward but he made it comfortable and fun and our photo shoot came out edgy and cool without being cheesy (which we wanted to avoid). Also not to mention we had a blast with him - such a fun guy, laid back and adventurous, anything for a good shot! Our wedding photos came out AWESOME and beyond anything we had expected. He captured the feeling and vibe of the day perfectly. Also – after my father in law tragically passed a few months after our wedding, Alex went back through his photos and compiled some special moments of him for which we are so grateful. OH – Also Alex had a baby just a few days before our wedding! Despite I’m sure being utterly exhausted, he showed up excited and energized with such focus and determination to capture every moment. To sum it up, he is skillful, kind, fun, authentic and just an awesome person, BOOK ALEX!!!

Alex was the best decision we made for our wedding! He was not only easy and flexible to work with but he is EXTREMELY talented! I felt very overwhelmed when first picking wedding photographers. My husband and I located Alex on the Knot in the early months of our wedding planning. We interviewed both Alex and one other photographer and were absolutely overjoyed at Alex’s portfolio, demeanor, professionalism and expertise. His world travels and accompanying photography spoke volumes up front, and were equally as impressive in practice. We added to the weight of this decision by planning an ‘Unplugged Day’, not just for the ceremony but the entire event from arrival to departure. With no sneaky camera phones in sight, we were putting all our faith in our photographer to capture the day in the style and manner that we hoped for. Alex was this person for us and we had confidence at every step that we had made the right choice. Style is personal and Alex’s photojournalistic style and adherence to ‘real’ colours was the look we wanted. We chatted with Alex before committing and met in person a few months before the wedding, both occasions showed that Alex’s confident but laid back approach suited our personalities. On the day, he was prepared and efficient, switching between two cameras and various lenses. Our ceremony was outside, our reception was inside, we had a mix of static moments and high energy dancing. None of this phased Alex and the results speak for themselves: beautifully lit, framed and focused photos for each situation. We expressed a desire for candids and the in-the-moment photos of people beaming, laughing and enjoying the day are some of our favourites. Alex post-processed the entire set of photographs in 9 days. This was an amazing speed and greatly appreciated as our ‘unplugged’ guests had nothing up to this point. We now have a wonderful set of photos to share and supplement our memories of the day.

Hiring Alex as our wedding photographer was easily the best wedding decision we made and we highly, highly recommend him. We had Alex document our wedding day at Aldrich Mansion, RI in June, and we received all the finished photos in two weeks!! Yes, Alex is the kind of person that can "WOW" you on all levels. He's professional, accommodating, and provides amazing products with great service! Alex has the talent to capture expressions and moments that only last seconds, he goes unnoticed while doing his work and he's able to capture everything! He's able to do amazing things with architecture, lighting, framing the shots and motion capture. We love the pictures as they were taken through our eyes! Alex was also a pleasure to work with. He guided us with simple instructions and tips to get the best photos. He makes everybody comfortable and the photos are just more natural than posing photos. Alex is simply incredible! Alex is an artist, pure and simple. His work speaks for itself, but we are also happy to sing his praises!! My husband and I could not be happier with the photos from our wedding or the experience Alex helped to create. His ability to be everywhere and nowhere at the same time is truly remarkable and our families are still debating about how he got some of his shots! He will capture your beautiful moments in a way that brings you right back to the heart of the emotions you were feeling. He can do all the staged photography perfectly too, but our advice is let Alex work because his candids are his real art form. Cannot recommend more highly!

I can't rave about Alex's work enough. He was such an amazing person to work with and he made our wedding so easy and fun. Alex's work caught my eye from a listing on a wedding site. We met with him early on and he was incredibly easy to talk to and everything he showed us of his work was stunning. We decided not to do an engagement shoot to keep to our budget even though I was a little unsure about having professional photographs taken. I had no reason to worry because he made us all comfortable from the minute he arrived. He was so helpful with directing us on how to pose and then I was able to act naturally as he directed, even forgetting he was there at certain points! All of our guests were raving about how he seemed to be everywhere, taking every picture that they were taking. We got a handful of sneak peak photos just 2 days after our wedding and the full album electronically less than 2 weeks later. I am in love with every photo. I cannot recommend Alex enough, he was incredible to work with and takes the amazing photographs!! I hope to be able to work with him again in the future.

We booked Alex for our wedding held in Chatham, MA. Since we live in the Southeast, it made it difficult for us to have an initial face to face meeting. Alex immediately suggested a FaceTime call. He was so kind and seemed very passionate about his work and photography in general. We immediately knew he was the one we wanted to work with. Since we were not able to work out a time to do our engagement session, Alex suggested photographing our "night before the wedding" welcome dinner. It was the coolest thing we did by capturing that evening. Now we have photos from our entire wedding weekend. Alex can make anyone feel comfortable in front of the camera and goes above and beyond with his his creativity. It was such a pleasure working with Alex and I hope to be able to work with him again.

Alex was incredible to work with--so friendly, responsive, and professional all the way through. His portfolio caught our eye immediately, and the photos he took for us were even more beautiful and interesting than what we saw on his website. He really captured the spirit of our wedding, and got so many amazing photos of our friends and family. The minute anyone pulled out a cell phone to take a photo, there he was to get a version that was a thousand times better. He sent us a handful of highlight photos *the day after* the wedding, and then sent our full gallery less than 2 weeks later. So grateful for Alex and his amazing work and talented eye!

Alex photographed our early May wedding at Wychmere Beach Club and we could not be more happy and thrilled. His work is simply unbelievable, and we are absolutely head over heels in love with his photographs of our wedding. Both Alex’s artistry and attention to people’s emotions and relationships is truly unique - we feel so lucky to have had him to document everything. Alex captured so many extremely special, joyous and meaningful moments and memories and we are incredibly grateful. On top of it all Alex and his team (which included two other lovely and talented men named Alex!) were an absolute pleasure to work with - they were easygoing when we were running late, worked incredibly well with our videographer, convinced us to go out onto a jetty in my dress for some truly one of a kind shots (and made sure the dress emerged unscathed!), and even got a number of family members who do not like their photo taken to happily participate! We also received a set of amazing “sneak peak” photos the day after our wedding with everything else just two weeks later - having spoken to a number of friends about their experiences elsewhere, I understand that this sort of speedy turnaround is pretty much unheard of!! We are still very much in awe of how gorgeous the photos are and we cannot thank and recommend Alex enough - I can confidently say that you will not get more beautiful photos or a better experience anywhere. In my father’s words, “whatever you paid him, it wasn’t enough!”

I had been talking to Alex for awhile about photographing our wedding next september and we were going to set up a time to meet, as of 11/27. Well, I sent him a couple of questions 3 days later and he told me "I signed a contract 2 days ago for your wedding date. not available anymore." Although I understand that theres no date holding, I thought this was pretty unprofessional because he didn't even tell me there was another couple looking at the date. transparency is key here people. Very disappointed.

We wanted to work with Alex after seeing his galleries and noticing how he was able to capture emotion as well as the overall feeling of the day. He did not disappoint. Our pictures are gorgeous and make me so happy every time I look at them. We joke that he must've spent the entire day running around because he captured so many vantage points and little moments from all over our wedding. Book him for your wedding. Alex delivered to us a stunning and complete album of our wedding day. We were excited to work with Alex after seeing his website and photos, and he proved to be skilled, professional, and a joy to work with. Each of the hundreds of photos he takes is print-worthy. We met with him to discuss what kind of photography we would want, and he satisfied us ten times over. Alex was more than a documentarian. He directs, creates, and beautifully captures the joy of the day. And importantly, he does not miss a shot. Alex is a an incredible photographer. I tend to me very critical of the way I look in pictures and I was amazed at how Alex was able to capture my now husband and I looking happy and natural. If you are looking for artistic, high quality work, Alex is your guy! He's super easy to work with and has a very quick turn around from shooting to sending you pictures. For our engagement shoot and wedding, he sent us pictures the very next day!
