Alexa Coughlin is an award-winning photographer living in Ventura, CA. Her passion for photography begun in her teenage years where she learned to process and develop her own film in the darkroom and only continued through her career as a documentary filmmaker.

Alexa is amazing. First of all, it can be kind of weird to have a stranger there on the most intimate parts of such a big day, but she was so calm and laid back so she fit right in...
with everybody and in that aspect alone, it was great.
Second, her pictures are quite seriously a work of art. A family member hired a second photographer for the day, so I actually got to see the difference between Alexa’s work and another wedding photographer, and Alexa’s were clearly just so much better. There’s a difference between simply taking pictures of the event and being able to show the beauty and feel of the day, and Alexa’s pictures, with the way she captured the lighting and special moments, showed the feelings behind the photos, which not many people can do.
Additionally, she was on time, went with the flow and any last minute changes with total ease, and very professional while still making everyone feel comfortable. Again, I cannot say enough good things about her. 100% would hire again and would recommend.
