r a big group in Philly and could have easily worked out a decent discount through our old employer, but we chose to work with Alex because of his passion for food, transparency, and to support a local business rather than a large corporate group. Alex is genuine, organized, and professional. He worked with us to customize our menu and coordinate the big day. From appetizers to dessert, everyone enjoyed the food. From experience, I know many couples feel regret after their event because they were too busy to get to eat. That was not the case on our night, his team made sure we were well fed. I highly recommend Alexander Catering Company for your next event!

f down-home charm (I’m from the South, so I appreciate that sort of thing), high-class service, gourmet food, and professionalism. The task Kevin and I gave Alex was not easy: create an experience for our guests that would feed them but make them want more (like dessert); offer a cornucopia of options ranging from French to Southern, gluten-free vegan to just-slaughtered, and open table to plated. To make things more complicated, we expected a few orthodox Jewish folks, knew about ½ our guests would not drink alcohol, and we were on a budget (that we planned to keep). When Kevin and I met Alex, it was in a small room at the end of his kitchen where he served us everything we had selected from his menu – and even dishes we were contemplating – as though we were in a restaurant. As we ate, we asked all kinds of questions, and Alex answered every one of them without disappointment. His communication skills went beyond the kitchen – we don’t know he did it, but Alex responded to every annoying email, call, and text we threw his way. My son and I are legit foodies, so we did not expect a wedding caterer to rise to the level of a 4-star restaurant. Alex insisted that we bring “leftovers” home (which included an appetizer and a dinner that we were only curious about), and when my son the Foodie tried them, he loved them all. That evening on our way home, and ever since, Kevin and I marveled at the amazing experience, quality of food, and genuine customer service Alex and family provide. It is extremely rare that we come across someone with such work ethic and pride who owns a company that provides impeccable service – so when we do, we tell everyone we know. To this day, Kevin and I share our experience with anyone who will listen, and continue to use Alexander Catering for everything from Thanksgiving to Girls’ Weekends.

e’re obsessed with Alexander’s Catering: Every bite is downright DELICIOUS! - After one bite into Alex’s baked brie and balsamic marinated strawberry puffs and my fiancé said “We are booking Alex for the wedding!”. We actually had two additional food tastings scheduled with other caterers that were quickly canceled after meeting with Alex. Everything is prepared and plated to perfection! Yes, even when serving food for 200+ people, Alex’s food is equally as insanely delicious! - Having 3 sisters who we’re recently married, I’m very familiar with brides and grooms who go to a tasting and love the food but when the food is served in massive quantities, the flavor and quality are just okay. Alexander’s Catering must make everything in small batches because each bite has so much flavor! Alex goes above AND beyond! - I was continually surprised at his willingness to accommodate our every request! I shared a family recipe for orange sweet rolls and Alex made them from scratch for the wedding (3 other caterers I spoke with gave me a flat-out no for attempting a family recipe). I also loved that I got to work directly with Alex, the head chef and business owner which made the whole planning process seamless. Alex has a homespun love for well prepared food and a genuine interest in making your dreams for your wedding day come true. Insane VALUE! - For my fiancé and I, the food was the most important part of our wedding day (after our vows). We wanted to serve our guests a menu that looked like a $200 per plate meal but for a fraction of the price. Alex made that happen! We served: Hors Douvres - Moroccan marinated chicken skewers - Seared scallop spoons with horseradish cream - Baked brie and balsamic marinated strawberry puffs Small Plates - Bulgolgi Beef Tacos (The beef melts in your mouth and the flavor is out of this world) - Chicken and waffles with blue cheese cream and Nashville sauce (Guest's loved Alex's unique twist on chicken and waffles) Entrees - Orange Dinner Rolls (a family recipe) - Fall Harvest Salad (served in mini kraft takeout containers that looked so outdoorsy, rustic, and perfectly matched our wedding theme.) - Sweet Potato Fries (they were extra crispy and so yummy!) - Roasted rainbow carrots, golden beets, and red onions (veggies that were so scrumptious, there weren't any leftover!) - Gaucho Steak and chimichurri sauce (how can so much flavor come from a simple sauce?!) - Chargrilled Salmon (I don't order salmon at most restaurants bc they usually overcook it ... not Alex, he cooks his salmon sp it's tender and moist) Brown butter and herb gnocchi (Vegetarians loved this option!) We had our DREAM wedding (which would have costed close to $125K) for a fraction of the price thanks to Alex and the incredible team at Alexander’s Catering.
