She is a rock star and was so efficient with getting through all of our shot list, and finding great lighting to take opportunities to adapt on the fly and keep us on schedule. She lived in Annapolis for a long time so she knew all the best spots and even worked around a giant festival in downtown. Our wedding was planned to be a majority outdoor event with a ceremony at the DC War Memorial and reception on the rooftop of Old Ebbitt, but Mother Nature had other plans. It *downpoured* on our wedding day. Alex was a super hero and my hype woman through the whole thing. She was amazing at directing us to get the photos done as efficiently and naturally as possible so we could get out of the rain, but more importantly, literally nothing went according to plan because of the weather and she was so focused on making me smile and laugh through all the craziness. My positive attitude that day was 100% because of Alex. Her photography skills speak for themselves, but given how much of your day is spent with your photographer, you want someone who is fun to be around, positive, supportive and experienced. That’s Alex. Logistically, she was responsive and totally willing to chat and talk through things whenever I needed. She turned our photos around SO fast too! We had a mix of great vendors and some duds, but Alex was top of the heap and couldn’t be more grateful for her. Hire her!!

Armed with a list of photographers (and countless hours of Instagram research), I finally made the first leap and scheduled numerous calls with multiple photographers. Several hours, virtual meets, and strikeouts later, I was truly disheartened. Our wedding was going to be intimate and personal, and I was seeking a photographer who would not only capture the big moments, but also the more minute moments in-between. Additionally, our multi-cultural wedding would require a skilled photographer that could make everyone feel included. From the first moment that I spoke with Alex, I knew that she would be the right person for our wedding. Her joyful and enthusiastic energy is contagious. Alex and team were prompt and professional. Her genuine love for photography shines through in our beautiful wedding photos that will be passed on for generations. our wedding. Alex kept us on track throughout the entire day and somehow managed to seamlessly organize our family and friend groups for photos. We have received many remarks from our guests about how awesome Alex was and how well she integrated herself, performed crowd management, and how genuinely kind she was. Our guests loved Alex as much as we do! Alex completely blew us away; we knew that we would love the photos (and we absolutely do!), but she really went above and beyond throughout the entire weekend. AND she killed it on the dance floor (per our request).

Alex arrived at the park hours in advance of our session to scout out all the most magical spots, some of which my husband and I had never even found during our times at the park. During the session she put us to ease and minimized the initial awkwardness of being photographed with silly games and her cheery easy going demeanor. The photos from our engagement session were so breathtaking! It was hard to choose just one photo for our save-the-dates!! As we prepared for the wedding, she constantly checked in with us, shared helpful tips and tricks for wedding planning, outlined a clear and manageable timeline of tasks (like creating photograph lists), and had a way of making the days leading up to our wedding feel extra special (far and beyond any other vendor we worked with!). The pandemic hit 3 months before our wedding, which turned all our wedding plans upside down. We experienced many shocking frustrations with a number of our vendors as we navigated the unpredictable and unfolding situation. Yet, despite the pandemic’s direct effect on Alex’s business, she graciously and patiently worked with us to adjust our plans and helped reignite our excitement for the wedding. Our wedding day finally arrived on a sunny day in May. Perfect weather for a Spring garden wedding! Alex closely monitored the weather that week and did extensive research to know when and where the sunset would be visible at our specific venue. Despite forecasts of sunny skies and no chance of rain, an hour before our wedding it began to pour. Alex quickly adjusted her plans and calmly directed the family inside for family photos. The unexpected rain caused a bit of chaos and no one knew how to respond. My wedding planner and her 2 assistants were suddenly MIA leaving my vendors and bridal party unsure how to proceed. At this moment of panic, Alex stepped up as a leader and took charge of the situation. She quickly and decisively came up with a plan and directed other vendors to follow. Through it all, Alex captured beautifully mesmerizing photos on our wedding day that shone with love and creativity. I doubt there will ever be a pandemic like this again, but if there are any unplanned surprises on your wedding day, Alex is the person you want there! Of all the wedding planning decisions we made, choosing Alex to be our photographer was the best decision we made! Her positivity and sincerity is so apparent, which makes it such a pleasure to work with her. The photos she captured are truly magical and something my husband and I will treasure for years to come. As my husband and I experience the many joys and milestones of marriage, we will undoubtedly ask Alex to capture our most special moments in the future as well!

l, and talented photographer. My wife and I got engaged in late 2018 and blissfully set our wedding date for May of 2020. Once we figured out our budget and knew what we wanted, we started reaching out to a few different photographers. Alex was personally recommended by a friend of ours. After talking with her over the phone and seeing examples of her captivating photographs she quickly rose above the competition. Her photographic talent, creativity, and attention to detail were obvious from the start. Not to mention, her wedding packages were customizable, comprehensive, and fairly priced. Throughout the process she was so organized, positive, and always listened to what we wanted. She quickly became our favorite wedding vendor to work with and the first one we recommend to any newly engaged friends! We had our engagement photo session in August 2019 at a hiking trail with some very pretty views of the Potomac River. She sent us a helpful guide with tips for what to wear and bring along to the session, including comfortable shoes to wear when walking to different photograph sites in the park. I wasn’t sure what to expect and was a little anxious about posing for the photos in a way that would look unnatural. When we got to the park, we found out that Alex had already been there for hours scoping out the best spots to take our photos! During the session she had a limitless supply of tricks and techniques to put both of us at ease and made the whole experience fun and exciting. She had a clear knack for seeing and capturing great photos. My wife and I left the session feeling beyond impressed and excited to see the photos! The photos turned out amazing! The following Spring of 2020 the pandemic threw everything upside down, including the whole wedding industry. A few of our vendors held us strictly to our original contracts for a large 200+ person wedding and were resistant to rescheduling, despite large gatherings being legally prohibited. Alex in contrast, worked with us to renegotiate our contract and reschedule our wedding date. She handled this unprecedented challenge in a calm and professional manner that a made a stressful situation a little less overwhelming. On the day of the wedding she continued to deliver amazing photos while navigating unexpected challenges. When a surprise rainstorm tried its hardest to disrupt our backyard wedding and in the absence of support from our wedding planner, who was nowhere to be found, she took charge and helped us turn lemons into lemonade with beautiful photos of our families and special moments of everyone gathering together! Your wedding photographs and the photographer who takes them are arguably the most important decision you make for your wedding day outside of “I do”. Everyone says that your wedding day will fly by, and it is true, but having photos that captured the special moments of our wedding day has allowed my wife and I to relive the excitement and sentiment of our wedding day, again and again.

Planning a wedding during COVID is stressful for any bride but working with Alex helped relieve so many concerns I had when it came to capturing our day. She stayed in contact with us throughout the whole process, reviewed our timeline to make sure we were budgeting enough time for all the photos we wanted, and was so accommodating when we had specific requests. As luck would have it, after re-scheduling our wedding due to COVID, I was able to book Alex for our engagement photos and wedding! We were able to take our engagement photos in Annapolis at one of the locations she had posted on her instagram! Everything came together perfectly! From the candids where you would catch people at their best moments, to the perfectly picked out locations to get gorgeous scenery, all of our photos came out beautifully.
