For two people who are not used to being in front of the camera, she made us feel so comfortable during our engagement photos! We did our engagement photos first with Alex and she made it fun and made us feel comfortable, which neither of us expected since we're not accustomed to being in front of the camera. She was super realistic with me in the nicest way possible (definitely needed that, I had no idea what I was doing), was always in communication with me, constantly asking how wedding planning was going, setting up meetings leading to the wedding and sending me recommendations to vendors I had yet to book. Alex was great the day of the wedding. She had a great attitude, was so quick to find a solution to the little things that went wrong or we ran out of time to do, took pictures in the timeframe we had set up, made our family members/bridal party get their ish together, and even brushed up on her Spanish ;). She gave us sneak peeks of our photos the next day (amazing!) and gave us our BEAUTIFUL photos within 2-3 weeks, I received SO many compliments and I’m currently still obsessing over them. 100% recommend!!

I am not typically a fan of pictures of myself, but I love all of the pictures that Alex has given us. She is a miracle worker. I still look through all my wedding photos at least once a week and it has been 4 months since the wedding! Everyone at our wedding kept complimenting us on our photographer and how professional she was and how she kept things moving very smoothly. On our wedding day, Alex captured everything from the flower arrangements and invitation details, to beautiful portraits and dancing photos. What we really loved is she made sure to have a conversation with us before the wedding about who we must get pictures with on our day whether it was certain family members or friends, and she made sure it happened! Alex was also so great with our guests and bridal party. She made pictures with our bridal party so fun by keeping it light and keeping the energy high. She really was like an honorary bridesmaid fixing my hair and dress the whole day! Everybody loved Alex as well as her amazing second shooters she brought to help. Before the wedding, she curated a timeline of the day which really put us at ease knowing we would get everything done, and not be in a rush. The timeline was perfect the day of, and Alex made sure we stayed on schedule. The day after the wedding, I woke up to about 8 photos from Alex for a sneak peak, and just a week later Alex had a blog post up about our wedding with so many photos we loved seeing! Alex’s photos are timeless, classy, and absolutely beautiful. She will make you feel calm and at ease on your wedding day, and she is such a joy to be around. We highly recommend her!!!

ely amazing! The amount of comments I’ve gotten from friends and family members through our engagement photos, the wedding day, and after everyone was commenting on how they loved the photographer. First of all I want to start out from the beginning with our engagement pictures. Alex made us feel so comfortable during the session and it was such a fun experience for us since she was so personable and charismatic. She sent us sneak peek pictures like the next day and I could not believe how incredible the pictures looked! We now have several framed in our home. Throughout the planning process she was so friendly and professional and responded promptly to any questions that I had. She also has a FB page she created for all the brides in Chicagoland where you can ask questions to each other which is awesome. She also sent us little sweet gifts through the planning process, find you a vendor that does that (they don’t!). You can tell she really cares about her clients and she is so talented. On our wedding day she was there right on time ready to go! She was a rockstar, she wasn’t just a photographer but like another bridesmaid ready to help with anything you needed and made sure that the day was going smoothly. Trying to organize family, and groomsmen and bridesmaids can be hectic but she made it seem all so easy! We got some sneak peek pictures within a day or two and they were absolutely breath taking! I could go on forever about how wonderful Alex is and how beautiful her pictures are. I would look no further for a photographer because she is simply the best!

Basically, I did the work for you. :) Alex is by far the best choice I could have imagined. Let me break it down for you by the top three components I was most interested in when I was doing my research. 1) Her Photos -- are truly incredible. They really are the main keepsake you have to remember your wedding, and her photos exceeded all of my expectations! They are the perfect combination of romantic and realistic -- I was blown away and my friends/family could not stop gushing over how AMAZING the photos turned out. From the getting ready photos, bride/groom and bridal party portraits, to taking family formals and capturing each detail of the ceremony and reception, each photo is better than the last. Every time I look through them, I feel like I'm reliving my wedding day again and again! 2) Her Prices -- are fair and affordable. Weddings add up! Between the florist, the music, the food, the venue -- weddings can be one of the most expensive things you ever do. So I knew I did not want to pay a TON of money (some quotes I received made my eyes pop!!!), but I wanted high-quality, impress-your-friends, jaw-dropping photos. Alex has somehow given her clients the best of both worlds: affordable and amazing. 3) Her Approach -- makes you feel SO at ease on your wedding day. I've never felt photogenic but she made me feel beautiful all day long! She makes each bride feel like the only bride in the world, brings such enthusiasm, and seriously feels like another bridesmaid! The whole bridal party and our families loved her. She made the whole day feel relaxed and fun. It really does make a huge difference to have such a warm, friendly face behind the camera -- you spend a big part of your day with her! She knows what she's doing, and I trusted her with our photos from the moment we first met. PLUS she gets you the photos so fast after your wedding!! I don't know how she does it! I can't recommend her enough -- I know she will make your day as special as she made mine!

For our first location Alex came to our home where she was such a pro at getting our disobedient old pup to look at the camera and look handsome as heck. Then we threw her a curveball with an added shoot location that she totally rolled with. Last we went to North Ave beach where her genius for the perfect lighting really shined. Our pictures turned out so magical and beyond anything I could have hoped for. When I look at them I am reminded how much fun we had taking them, the ease that went along with the whole day and how lucky I am to have such moments captured that don’t feel phony and forced at all. Getting your photos taken can be an incredibly uncomfortable experience but this shoot with Alex came with such ease and laughter (because she’s funny!). So much so that even my husband said he enjoyed it - which I never expected to hear! Next of course was our wedding, and as this day approached there was not a fear in my mind when it came to Alex capturing our most precious moments. She truly is an extra bridesmaid, lifting you up, helping you out and being by your side when you need her. Wedding day can be high stress and emotional but her presence once again made us feel calm, comfortable and full of smiles. Our families even raved about her - they could tell what an asset she was to our wedding team. We have only received a few amazing sneak peaks from wedding day but are anxiously awaiting the rest! During the reception, she fades into the background, captures all of the moments you want and then some and proves to be one of the best in the business. She came up to my husband and I during dinner and said she had a surprise and showed us some of edited photos from earlier. THAT was amazing!!! After the wedding, she scheduled a viewing party for my husband and I where we could invite guests. We brought my family with, and we all laughed, cried and had some drinks while reminiscing on what an amazing night it was and how fantastic the photos were. we imagined for our wedding day. I was thrilled stumbling across Alex's profile. Her work speaks for itself; timeless, flawless, and crystal clear quality. While I would've booked Alex based on her work alone, the thing I'm happiest about is the experience. After exchanging a few emails with her I instinctively knew we would mesh in real life, and that's the thing I've appreciated the most so far in this planning experience. She makes her clients feel so important and loved from contract signing gifts to thoughtful holiday chocolates and notes. Planning our engagement session was extremely easy. She was so helpful helping us pick out locations and understood the look and feel we wanted. She was also so helpful helping me find me find someone who could do my make up and was so flexible when we were running behind. The day of our shoot was a bit rainy and cold but she kept us moving and laughing. What really struck me was how directive she was which is amazing while you're awkwardly posing. Not only was she great with Ian and I, but it was amazing to see her take charge of her surroundings asking random people on the street to get out of the way lol. She will do whatever she needs to get her shot. Immediately after our engagement session we got a few sneak peeks that made us so excited! Quickly after we received our full engagement album ahead of time! While we've only had our engagement photos done, I can't wait to see what Alex captures on our wedding day!

d obviously a great photographer! We sought Alex out because of the quality, timelessness, and consistency of her photos. Alex quickly becomes more than just another vendor - she is a friend and a great asset in wedding planning. We have a crazy long wedding day and reception and instead of just asking us how many hours of coverage we needed (or telling us we didn’t need coverage past dinner time at the reception) she sat down with us and helped us create a timeline for our wedding day. She also advised the need for a second photographer for part of it and has a very positive attitude for the long work day ahead of her! Alex is very timely with communication without being pushy or stressing you out. She is professional but maintains a relaxed, friendly tone that makes you feel at ease. I feel completely comfortable reaching out to her at any point before the wedding and she even gave us a timeline of anticipated communication/decisions to come! Oh and she likes to surprise you with small gifts (a box of chocolates with a holiday card, a bottle of wine, etc.) that make you feel SPECIAL, like you’re her only client, even though she has dozens. Alex took our engagement photos and then a separate set of photos for our save the dates (because they had a very particular theme to them). I feel very awkward having my picture taken, I hate smiling, and I’m pretty sure my fiancé doesn’t even know how to smile... but Alex was able to make us feel comfortable and coax out smiles and laughs that made our photos look happy and genuine. This is such an important note I didn’t even think about while searching for a photographer: make sure you’re super comfortable with your photographer otherwise your photos will probably just look awkward. I also know she will be great with everyone in our bridal party, our families, and even the kids because of her ability to make everyone feel at ease! Each time she gives you an expected turn around time for when the photos will be ready, and both times she was not only on time but early! Not to mention the photos were AMAZING. Everyone loves them and we’ve received dozens of compliments on them. People honestly pop up out of the woodwork on social media to comment on how great they are. We have so much confidence in Alex we have already recommended her to other couples who are planning their weddings. I also love the fact that Alex creates communities around her. I’ve seen her on social media giving out advice to other young photographers and she even has a Facebook group where you can ask other brides for advice! Very helpful if you don’t have many friends who have planned weddings and more intimate and reliable than just posting your questions in online forums. On a final note about cost, we were definitely surprised by how much of our wedding budget had to be set aside for a photographer. Alex is definitely not a “cheap” option but I would never want a cheap photographer.... you always get what you pay for and a wedding is no time to pick the “dollar store” option. I did however receive quotes in the 8-10k range for our wedding. Thank goodness we found a QUALITY and down to earth photographer with REASONABLE pricing! 🤗
