d eventually stumbled upon Alex. She met my husband and I in a coffee shop to discuss the wedding photog basics and just like a romance movie, we knew she was the one. Our engagement session with Alex confirmed that we made the right choice, as we were so comfortable with her and our photos turned out amazing (thanks majorly to her serious skills). Exactly one year later, Alex joined us for our wedding and I can't even describe how grateful I am for her. I seriously hardly knew she was there and I remember thinking halfway through the reception "gee, I haven't seen Alex in a while, I hope she's getting everything." Well, she got EVERYTHING. There is not a single thing she missed and she did it all without being the least bit intrusive. Our album is incredible and all of our photos are just breath-taking. The bottom line is that Alex is one amazing person and photographer and you would be a fool not to hire her for your wedding or any other event in your life. You will NOT be disappointed. In fact, I'm willing to bet that she will go above and beyond any expectations that you might have.

er work on her website, and when we got engaged, she was the first person we reached out to. Having the engagement session was a great way to see how Alex works and to get comfortable with her. We weren't used to having our photo taken, but Alex made us feel like our photos were beautiful, and she was right! After seeing the engagement shots, we knew we made the right choice for our wedding photographer. Alex was with us for the entire day of the wedding, capturing shots of us getting ready at the house. She is great at giving direction about what she wants, and always made me and my bridesmaids feel like we looked beautiful! We love her photojournalistic style of photography - it feels much more intimate and real than if we had taken all posed photos. Alex also suggested to us that we try a first look, rather than taking all our family and couple shots during cocktail hour. This was a great idea, since Alex usually works on her own, and we really wanted to celebrate cocktail hour with our guests. Alex posts a few "sneak peek" photos on her blog right after the wedding, so we got to see some of the shots early. Her turnaround is super fast, though, and we had our photos before three weeks were up. The photos are GORGEOUS! She captured moments I didn't even know happened at the wedding! I also love her detail shots of our invitation, cake topper, dress, favors, etc. We also ordered an album from Alex and can't wait to choose our photos for it. Alex is really great at what she does and she's very easy to work with. We definitely recommend Alex!

Yet, we wanted to make sure our day was going to be uniquely documented without us having to worry about it and just enjoy ourselves.... Alex made that happen. She understands everyone is different and accommodates to make everyone feel comfortable. Her quality and thoughtfulness is exceptional. We were on a budget (aren't we all?) and Alex is very competitively priced for the work that she does. I had been researching to find someone that wasn't going to make our photos like everyone else's wedding photos without me having to tell them what shots to take and stage things out myself. Not only was the complimentary Engagement Photo Session essential to helping my husband-to-be and I prepare to have our photos taken...but the results were amazing. Our engagement session made us excited to have our photos taken on our big day. Alex was there during the day-of preparation and it was great to have some photos of us while we were getting ready. We chose to do the first-look and wedding party photos before the ceremony, which was awesome because we all looked our best and had plenty of time. After the ceremony, Alex helped us organize the wedding party and family so we could get some important group photos. She made everyone feel comfortable but was still able to take charge and keep everyone on-task. Our moms were both really impressed with the quality of the photos she took as well as her personality. She has the ability to blend into the wedding festivities, instead of being an intrusive wedding photographer. This is a difficult skill to cultivate. Our photos came back in a super-timely manner (we even got a preview of some of the photos on her blog)! She was really communicative and understanding that we were kind of flaky about getting back to her (being busy with the wedding-planning and all). Overall, Alex is amazing and has our highest recommendation. We found her pricing to be extremely reasonable and she gave us a lot of options for packages. Her style was the perfect aesthetic match for what we were looking for-- and she worked to understand us as a couple. She took time to talk with us about what we wanted --and we ended up with a great range of candid moments and posed, keepsake photos. Alex's work really speaks for itself. No matter how glowing our review is, I suggest you take time and look at her blog (which is accessible from her website). I still find myself skimming through it to see the amazing moments she captures (from wedding and events aside from ours).

ould do a great job just based on that. She is extremely talented and it shows in her work. The cherry on top of that is that she is super fun to be around and makes you feel so comfortable. During the ceremony, she lurked in the shadows and I forgot she was there, but while we were doing group shots she organized everything and made us laugh. For me, that was the best part because the photos don't look staged. I was actually relaxed and having a good time. She worked with us on price and was a pleasure to be around. I would recommend her to anyone and will probably be calling again as our family grows!
