Alexandria photography was amazing! James did a fantastic job capturing all the magical moments at our wedding. The his pricing is extremely reasonable. He responds very fast. He made us feel so comfortable. Our pictures came out better than we could even imagine. The quality and editing is picture perfect! I highly recommend Alexandria photography!

I was not all that impressed with my wedding pictures. We planned a first look to take all the formal pictures before the ceremony and went over this plan with James the week before the wedding. He did take some formal portaits of the groom & groomsmen before that turned out fantastic but then said we ran out of time and followed the groomsmen to the ceremony, leaving me with my bridesmaids for a good 20 minutes to take more of the guys. So then we asked to take formals with the bridesmaids after the ceremony and he took one shot with them and my mom. When the bridesmaids asked for some of just them he said, “that’s not my style”. When I got back my pictures I was pretty unhappy about the one picture with the bridesmaids and mob, his response was that he only takes formals that are requested and no one asked for those pictures. One, yes we did and two, is that not what you hire and pay a photographer a lot of money for? I did not get one of my husband and his Dad, any posed with the bridesmaids, and really just one nice portrait of my husband and I. He ignored my mom and maid of honor, and I have hundreds of two bridesmaids by themselves. I asked for portraits with my train detail, and the 1880s castle in the background but he ignored any request I made. I feel that so much is lacking; editing, variety, detail, portraits.

We had our engagement shoot and James did a fantastic job. Our wedding is in 4 months and even our DJ and Coordinator at our Venue have nothing but nice things to say about James and Alexandria Photography!

James has a great eye and is an actual photographer, not just a wedding photographer. We decided we didn't want to spend the whole day posing for pictures and wanted to be really present with each other and our guests. James worked in perfectly in this scenario. He got so many beautiful and incredibly genuine photos. It was so hot and it even rained, and I am telling you, there is not one picture of my wife that she dislikes. He truly did an amazing job. Another thing we got with James that I never would have even imagined I could get are some amazing photos of our guests. Since this were less staged, everyone was relaxed and looks to be genuinely happy. I wouldn't have thought I would be able to give people some gorgeous images of themselves from my wedding as well. Again, if you want something that is unlike what the other people are all doing, James is your guy.

Our pictures are gorgeous! James really knows how to capture all the special moments so you can look back on them fondly for a lifetime! He was fun and flexible to work with, we would highly recommend.

James was incredible to work with from start to finish. We initially reached out to him because we saw the gorgeous photography on his website and were drawn in by the way he uses light to make events look timeless. His wedding photo package is very reasonable for the quality you are getting, and unlike other photographers, he doesn't try to pre-sell you into expensive print packages. He was really flexible on the day of our wedding - making sure that every shot was captured no matter what happened - and even brought an extra photographer at no extra charge to make sure that no moment went by unmissed. He even stayed later than he needed to since the party kept going. We have so many great photos from our wedding that narrowing the photos down is a (good) challenge. I'd highly recommend James for any bride or groom-to-be or for other events!

First of all i just want to say how great James is as a photographer and as a person, first time i actually met James was at my wedding on my wedding day! The first time i talked to James on the phone i knew he was going to be my photographer for my wedding he just makes you feel super relaxed and like you don't have to worry about a thing for your big day! Which let's face it girls all of us do not relax at all till the big day is actually here! I love lifestyle photography i did not want to feel so posed for my big day and worried about how to stand the right way and blah blah blah i mean come on let's be original, if you love lifestyle photography and are in the new york area don't think twice about going with James and is amazing and so are my photo's i promise you, you will be so in love with your wedding photo's if you choose him...plus he's super fun :)

It was a pleasure working with James! He made everyone feel so comfortable and it truly showed in every single photograph! Every moment was captured perfectly! Highly recommend!

Let me start by saying, James is awesome. My husband and I instantly felt comfortable with James, and as soon as I saw his work, I knew I wanted him to be our photographer. I love his candid style and how his photos show real moments and genuine emotions. We kept our shot list small and let James do his thing, and we’re thrilled with the results. James had a way of being everywhere all at once and he captured the biggest and smallest moments; from my husband sharing a special moment with his mom before the ceremony, to my bridesmaids taking a hilarious spill on the dance floor. He even rescued me when I got locked in the bathroom before walking down the aisle. James’ pictures tell the story of our big day perfectly and looking at them brings back all the emotions of the day (I cried the first time I looked at them). The photos are beautiful, so beautiful they don’t need to be edited. James is a true artist, easy to work with, fun, and professional (we got our photos on time, as promised). I’ll finish the way I started by saying, James is awesome.

The moment I saw the work of Alexandria Photography I knew we had to request them for our Wedding. James was able to capture each and every special moment of our special day. We are very pleased and would highly recommend them.

James was wonderful! He took the pictures we wanted and then the rest of the night I didn't even know he was there!

Several of my family members have used this photographer and he's done a wonderful job each time. James is able to capture incredible moments that are unexpected. We love his photographs. He is passionate about the art of photography and that is evident from his pictures.
