We had our wedding in July 2024. Our ceremony at Bayshore was perfect followed by the reception at Lake Ontario Conference Center where fun was had by all. Working with George and Annie, the coordinators, allowed for a seamless process from start to finish. We looked at about 4-5 different venues but quickly realized this was the best option in terms of service, being able to hold our ceremony by the water, and have the benefit of the modern, clean & inviting reception space attached to the hotel for convenience. If you are still considering venues, be sure to at least tour Bayshore and the Lake Ontario Conference Center as the value you get in pricing, quality of food and overall professionalism with this team is better than other venues in Central New York.

We had our wedding here in May. It was absolutely beautiful! The staff were so helpful, service was excellent and everything went smoothly throughout the whole night! George and Annie were our points of contact and answered all questions we had and did an amazing job making our day absolutely perfect! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a wedding in the Oswego area!

We first met George Broadwell almost two years ago. We met at the Best Western Plus Hotel in Oswego where he operates Aleaxandria’s Weddings. My son and his fiancée had chosen this place to be the venue for an outdoor wedding on the lake and then reception indoors.
George seemed very friendly and knowledgeable about the wedding procedures. He worked with the kids on all the planning all the way through to the wedding day. He had suggestions for desserts, music, flowers, photography and just about everything else. We even got to work closely with him during the planning of the rehearsal dinner, which was held next door at GS Steamers Restaurant in the sister hotel, The Clarion.
Needless to say, all went better than planned. The outdoor site was decorated beautifully as was the main reception room, due mainly to George, his assistant Annie and all the staff at the hotels, venue and GS Steamers.
George and his staff were kind, courteous, accommodating, friendly and efficient. There was sufficient wait and bar staff, so no one was kept waiting and got served quickly. I even saw George himself helping the staff by serving tables.
We would like to thank George and his assistant Annie, the staff at both hotels, GS Steamers and kitchen and wait staff at Alexandria’s. They all worked hard to make my son and daughters-in-law wedding beautiful.
We would recommend George and all his staff highly to anyone who might be looking for a venue to an upcoming event.

Communication was consistently poor even into after our wedding when we called, emailed, & texted multiple times to coordinator Linda & owner George simply to give feedback on our experience:
1. We attempted to go over plans with the coordinator leading up to our wedding, but they didn’t return calls or review details, leading to confusion & chaos on wedding day. Groom & parents had to run around to set up decor themselves. We had confirmed that the venue would do this night before, but they ended up having a dinner banquet in our ballroom instead. Setup on the day of the wedding was haphazard, disorganized, & time-consuming out of bride and groom’s own schedule when we should've been enjoying getting ready with bridal party & family. The setup took literally our entire morning & afternoon: we had to arrange the area ourselves (easels/signs, card box, etc), barely had time for photos since all of it was spent running around doing the venue’s job, & then rushed to start the wedding.
2. On wedding day, we only saw the coordinator twice: bringing snacks for the girls, and signaling me to walk down the isle. Shockingly, she was seen giving a venue tour to 2 other couples on our wedding day instead of helping us!
3. A fishing boat pulled up on the dock right next to our ceremony area before the wedding began. The venue did nothing until my parents intervened and asked the fishermen to dock a little ways down to not interrupt our ceremony. Also, restaurant tables & their open umbrellas were in the way of my isle to walk through, not moved till parents also brought this up.
4. Parking lot next to ceremony area was supposed to be blocked off, but not done. Restaurant guests were going in and out, & I had to wait to go down the isle as a car suddenly came in to park.
5. Groom & his men had no one check in on them or even offer water. They rushed around, literally took turns drinking out the faucet.
6. Complimentary champagne is advertised for bride, groom, and parent table, but not done. All of our glasses were empty.
7. Cake wasn’t served. We paid for a sit-down dinner, but for dessert, they cut our 5-tier cake in the back and quietly brought it out, set it literally in the back of the room where most guests didn’t even see or know it was there. We found out after that most of our cake went to waste as many guests didn’t get cake, including the groom himself!
8. Coordinator didn't coordinate the wedding at all. The timeline we emailed was not followed, adding to our chaos, and ended up missing sunset photos since she was nowhere to be found. We sent 3 emails of questions/details over a week before the wedding. No response. At rehearsal, we inquired about the emails, only to be told they were busy & hadn’t reviewed them.
9. We also emailed final head count/meal choices a week prior to the wedding & waited for the final bill. Again, no response. Coordinator gave us the bill right before our wedding started, & later pulled me out of the photo booth with our guests during our reception just to obtain the remaining balance. Luckily we had brought our check book which I was forced to keep on me all day. Also, bill was not adjusted for guests that cancelled, even when we gave plenty notice. Meals were paid for, but not given to us packed to-go.
10. We were promised the room fee for rehearsal dinner at their restaurant would be waived since we were having our wedding there too. This wasn't honored; a surprise room fee was tacked on the bill.

I couldn't have better things to say about George and this venue. If you have your wedding here or at Bayshore you will NOT be disappointed. The food was amazing, the setup was seamless and George was able to ensure we had transportation at the last minute to the church for the wedding party (since my groom dropped the ball a little on this). He was great at responding to questions and the day went off without a hitch. We also had our rehearsal dinner at GS Steamers which is run by the same people, also a great experience.

If you're considering wedding venues in the Central New York area, Alexandria's is incredible. We first visited Alexandria's on a whim. Within minutes, we turned to each other and knew this was the place. Competitor venues did not have the same size, upscale and modern facilities, nearby hotel accommodations, and competitive pricing. Alexandria's is physically attached to a well-maintained Best Western. Guests complimented the surrounding area and appreciated being able to literally wake up at the venue. The location of Alexandria's made travel for pictures rather convenient. The ceremony itself, held on site, was absolutely beautiful. Once our ceremony finished, guests were able to walk into the building and enjoy cocktail hour. Not needing to transport guests between the ceremony site and the reception was a huge logistical, time-management, and financial advantage. The cocktail hour room has a huge, modern bar in it along with balcony access. The main room for the party looked amazing. Amenities were clean, bar service was great, and food was fantastic. Between our first tour of Alexandria's to the big day itself, everyone we interacted and spoke with came across as personable, professional, and accommodating to requests. George maintained an incredibly humble and helpful demeanor throughout all phases of coordinating the event. He was wonderful to work with and so accommodating! Behind-the-scenes support for the bride and groom during the big day was phenomenal. We cannot thank him and his staff for creating one of the best days of our lives. Guests continue to compliment us about our the great time they had. We highly encourage people in search of a wedding or event venue to book with Alexandria's!!

George was incredible to work with! He was so accommodating and really went above and beyond to ensure that our day was what we had envisioned. The staff that worked with us, the venue, the food that was served, etc. were all amazing. The staff even set up all of our decorations for us (and we had a lot)!
. I could not recommend this venue more.

When I first began planning my wedding I was searching in the Rochester area since half of the guests attending would be from Buffalo, the other half from Oswego, but I wasn’t finding the right place. I wanted a place on the water, had a hotel attached to it, and it had to feel right. On whim I decided to swing by Alexandria’s and I am so glad I did! The banquet room was HUGE and had a bar that could be open to the room or closed off with a good-sized balcony. Since I do not live locally, I was worried about planning the wedding from across the country, but Alexandria’s made planning so easy and always were able to meet up with me when I was able to come to Oswego to plan.
The food tasting was impressive – six delicious choices, it was hard for me to make a selection so I choose four entrees to offer to our guests, and we did not have one disappointed guest. They even made a vegan eggplant parm that was so perfect!! People are still raving about the food!
The hotel was extremely accommodating to all of the guests. My fiancé (now husband!) and I had an awesome room that was big enough to accommodate all six bridesmaids, a makeup artist, photographers, my parents and myself while we got ready!
I could go on and on about how happy my husband and I are that we chose Alexandria’s, but I’m sure that I have lost the attention of most readers by now… So, check out Alexandria’s! They are easy to work with, accommodating, affordable, and the venue is just beautiful.

The venue was beautiful, clean, and romantic. The staff was incredible! They were helpful and courteous through the entire weekend. Shout out to Britney for being 20 steps ahead of all of us. If you have a wedding here, (which you should) just make sure Britney is there! Thank you to the whole staff for helping create the most beautiful day of our friends lives! #laurieandrob4

This venue fulfilled both my and my husband's dream for a reception venue (we hosted our ceremony elsewhere). The venue connects to a great hotel to accommodate our out of town guests. The staff set up the bar, lobby, and ballroom exactly to our specifications. The staff was attentive to our guests' needs, everyone was fed and beverage well! The ballroom was sized efficiently to fit our 10 piece band as well as 150 guests. Everything promised- they saw forth that it was provided!

If it's in your budget and you're looking for a venue in Upstate New York, Bayshore Grove is the place to go. They take care of EVERYTHING for you when it comes down to the wire so you, as the bride, don't feel the need to stress out over the small things. The venue is gorgeous inside and out and they regularly update the premises. The only reason I deducted one star for the value is because I know that there prices are going progressively up with time, as is the case with any venue, I'm sure; however I think some of the things that they charge for goes a little beyond your typical wedding venue.

I was a bit frustrated at first because it took them so long to call me back. I think I called about 12 times before they called me back to be honest. At this point, I told myself I didn't want to work with them because it would be too much of a hassle everytime I wanted to get information from them. However, there hadn't been another place that I really liked and the view at Bayshore was amazing. I am so glad that I ended up having my wedding there. George and Adam were actually great to work with and were very accomodating. Like I said before, the view on the lake is amazing!

I was extremely pleased that we chose Bayshore for our wedding ceremony and reception. George was great to work with and very accomodating and flexible. He had no problem meeting with us a few times before the wedding to go over details and questions. The day of the wedding, everything went perfectly. The staff is very professional and pleasant, and George did a great job making sure everything happened as planned. Beyond the great service, the location is absolutely beautiful and a perfect place for a wedding.

Living in Baldwinsville, with friends and family around the Syracuse area, we were worried about having our wedding so far away in Oswego. But every single guest told us this was by far the most gorgeous wedding they have ever been to and we owe that to the Bayshore. Not only is it beautiful there, but the service was outstanding. George Broadwell is super helpful and very patient. Throughout the wedding he and his staff made sure that everyone was having a good time and everyone's needs were met. They go above and beyond which made our wedding absolutely perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better venue.

My husband and I were planning our wedding in about 7 months. Working with George at Bayshore Grove put me at ease everytime. Anything we needed or asked about George accommodated for. Not only was George amazing to work with but what really grabbed out attention when we checked it out was the scenery. We really wanted to have our wedding on the water and honestly, words couldn't describe how beautiful our wedding day/night was there. The sunset was breathtaking! I highly reccommend Bayshore to anyone who is looking for a gorgeous, natural, and accommodating venue to get married at.
