I work one-on-one with you to come up with the perfect look for your Wedding Hair and Makeup. You will feel and look beautiful, confident, radiant and fresh. Whether it's a natural, glowing look, with a soft-updo, a dramatic & intense style, or a combination of both, I will create a look that will make you look like your most beautiful self.
I use High Definition Airbrush Makeup that is AMAZING! It is modern, flawless, natural looking, yet durable & will last all day (& night!)
I perform all services, on-location, so I come to you for both the trial and the day of the wedding.
MAKEUP
I use High Definition Airbrush Makeup that is AMAZING! It is modern, flawless, natural looking, yet durable and will last all day (& night!) It is HIGH DEFINITION, which is what is used in photo shoots and on TV & Movies. I carry a full array of false eyelashes to suit a variety of tastes. I also use other prestige lines like RCMA, Stila, Smashbox, Inglot, Dior, Ben Nye, Viseart, Graftobian, Nars, Lorac and other professional lines providing you with the best of the best, for long wearing, camera-ready, simply breathtaking results.
HAIRSTYLE
I can recreate any hairstyle you may see online, tv or in magazines, or come up with something specifically unique for you. This includes placement of a veil, flower, pins or whatever you may consider for your big day. My suggestions, techniques and products I use will make your hairstyle stay throughout the day, and hold up to the weather, elements and dancing.
I have been doing bridal hair & makeup for over 20 years, and know what works. In addition to my years of experience, education, advanced training and talent, my clients always praise me on my professionalism, organization and that create a stress-free, relaxing experience at both your trial & wedding day.
MY TEAM
For larger parties, or those with time limitations, I have a great team of hand selected professional stylists and artists to that I personally have vetted. There is great value in having a team that all works together to do that many services on a hectic wedding morning. My team & I have many years of experience doing large wedding parties. Many times I see people come from all different places, and the look is not cohesive, on multiple girls run late. This will not happen with the Team at Long Island Makeup and Hair.

Though it is not required, and I highly recommend booking a Trial Consultation. A trial is so much fun! Together, we'll come up with the perfect look for you for your big day.
CONCIERGE TOUCH UP SERVICE
For the day of the Wedding, some brides choose to hire me for extra time; during the photo session, after the cocktail hour, before the first dance or throughout the entire night. I can change locations and stay with you throughout the day!

ifferent hair/makeup artists together. Each time we left disappointed. My daughter didn’t look like herself and I felt that I looked more ready to be laid out in a coffin than a wedding. Then I found Ali and decided to book one more trial because at this point my daughter was ready to do her own makeup for the wedding. They say third time is a charm and it definitely was in this case. We booked Ali, Long Island Hair and Makeup on the spot!
My daughter wanted me and her bridal party at her suite at the butt-crack of dawn (ceremony at 6:30pm and reception at 7pm), but it’s her day so whatever. 😊 Hair and makeup for everyone was to be done by 12pm and photos were to be done by 4pm. But the ceremony wouldn’t be until 6:30pm and I thought about that. No way would my naturally curly, coiled hair look decent by the ceremony! So, I called Ali and asked what I could do. She told me about her “Ali by Your Side” services. With this, she would stay after hair and makeup was over for as long as I wanted at an hourly rate. So, I asked – “you mean you would stay and do touchups to my hair and makeup as if I was some special celebrity?” She responded yes, but clarified it wouldn’t be just for me but for everyone that got their hair and makeup done with her (basically the entire bridal party). I worried about the price, but her hourly rate turned out to be very reasonable.
The day of the wedding Ali showed on time with a team of two additional people (based on the size of our party) and they were fabulous! We all came with magazine pictures of how we wanted our hair and makeup. Everyone had something different, and everyone walked away with hair just as it was in the magazine. It was amazing. We were done by 12 and Ali stayed after with us. She was by our side for the photoshoot, fixing as needed. She refreshed us right before the ceremony and then again after the ceremony just prior to the reception entrance. She re-curled hair, touched up makeup, and fixed any updo. She kept us looking fresh and feeling confident the entire day. She was amazing. Everyone in the bridal party continues to refer to Ali as a “gift from above.” I recommend Ali not just for hair and makeup – but also for her “Ali by Your Side” services. It was hands-down the best decision we made, and money well spent!!!

just say I originally had my trial with another company ( I will not say their name) and I came home crying because I just didn’t feel like I was going to be a beautiful bride. I’m not the type of person that gets my hair done and wears a lot of make up so I was very nervous how I was going to look on my wedding day. No where was it stated in my contract the money needed to be given to her at the beginning. I had my trial a few months prior and went with Ali because I liked her work. My wedding day Ali did a great job, however while she was doing my hair she continued to complain how my hair was "soaking wet" when it was hardly even damp. I offered to dry it with a blow dryer but she insisted that then it would just "frizz up". This didn't give me such a great feeling instead made anxious on an already stressful morning. Also, if you choose Ali be sure to not be five minutes late because she will let you know it! At the end, I was satisfied with my hair and makeup. Getting there I think would have been a lot better without some of the comments made.

irst trial with Ali and booked her right away. This was my 3rd trail I had ( not with her ) but when she whiped my hair up to exactly what I wanted , I knew to book her ! So I am not a makeup person. I am lucky if I wear eye shadow once a month. When I wear makeup its a lot on me. So I had called her again for a 2nd trial gave her a picture and she did exactly that. ore I met Ali and what a difference. Ali is not only professional, attentive, and knowledgeable, but she is also extremely friendly and sweet. She guides you, gives suggestions, is accommodating, and works with you. She is extremely patient and gives you her all. I am of Indian decent and I often find it hard to find someone who can match my skin tone. I either end up looking like Casper the friendly ghost or 5 shades more darker. However, Ali was a natural. She matched my skin perfectly. I looked radiant and felt beautiful and she picked the right colors for me. She is courteous, and punctual. Believe me ladies, she knows what she is doing. Airbrush makeup is wonderful and I know I drove Ali crazy about it. It feels great on the skin, you do not become oily, there is absolutely no touch ups needed on the makeup, and it literally lasts till the next day. The only thing you got to touch up are the lips and with all those kissing pics, you need to! The morning of my wedding, Ali and her assistant showed up on time and was done with my bridesmaids and me by the exact time frame she had given me and even had time for touch ups and pictures. I picked a different hairstyle than what I had done in the trial, and it was done without any hassles and came out gorgeous. I was a jittery and nervous bride. Ali calmed me down, made me laugh, and we chatted. My bridesmaids and sisters loved her and felt at ease with them. They are great and she works with you on the price. Ali was a true blessing.
