I cannot say enough about Alice; she is truly wonderful! Adam and I recently got married in July 2023. We found Alice online through the Knot and contacted her through her website. I remember reading her approach to creating meaningful personal ceremony's based on the couple's values and I fell in love. I reached out and she responded that day. Within a week we were video chatting and Alice was educating about us about what even makes up a wedding ceremony, how to navigate our wedding party and family, do we need a microphone? From the big to the small, she's dealt with it before and created a perfect solution. Alice was the right fit for us. She took the time to get to know Adam and I and created a beautiful ceremony that was incredibly personal. The whole process was transparent; We had the final say on the content and wording of the ceremony. She kept us to a timeline (gently) and nothing felt rushed. Day of the wedding, we felt we had known Alice far longer than the 6 months we worked together. Our ceremony was engaging, full of love and laughter and some tears (Alice was prepared with tissues!) Our experience with Alice was phenomenal, from beginning to end. Finding the right officiant who was okay with performing a non-religious ceremony was a priority for us, so we started the search pretty early. I’d seen Alice’s profile before we had started to make inquiries, and made a mental note about her. Then a few months later, when I was honestly feeling discouraged by the prospects, I remembered Alice! Immediately when we met with her virtually, we felt at ease about the process. She was kind, calm, and very easy to talk to. We decided pretty quickly that we would hire her. And, importantly, she specialized in helping couples create their perfect ceremony, with as little or as much tradition as desired. Another aspect during the process that was incredible, was how many resources Alice has! She’s a real pro, and has dozens of example vows that really helped us with our own. The back and forth process of editing the ceremony was also extremely collaborative — knowing exactly what was going to be said and done before hand was huge for us. Working with Alice Soloway as our Wedding Celebrant was absolutely perfect and painless! From the very first conversation, we knew we had found the right person. I had the amazing opportunity to meet Alice in 2019 when we were originally planning my wedding for May of 2020. Although the world had other plans, and we eventually moved the wedding to July 2021, Alice never missed a beat. I am writing this 2 days after our wedding so everything is still fresh in my mind! I cannot say enough good things. From start to finish Alice was perfect in every way. She accommodated us when we had to postpone (twice!) and even did our legal ceremony over zoom which was also beautiful even through a computer screen. Alice focuses on making your ceremony exactly what you want it to be. She asks a lot of questions in your initial consultation to get a sense of what you want and then even more questions about yourself and your feelings about your relationship to create the ceremony. It is actually substantially more in depth than I had ever expected. But when the times comes, boy was it worth it. All of our guests commented that it was so amazing because it was so PERSONAL. They all learned about our relationship because Alice asked us about our relationship! It wasn’t about her definition of love and marriage or some generic speech about love - it was a summary of our years together and what this day meant for us. This is particularly incredible if you’re a little too nervous to write and say your own vows. Her ceremony script was our words - spoken a bit more eloquently and from someone more confident in public speaking. I left knowing what my husband felt for me and he left knowing how I felt for him and we got to be calm the entire time. Alice helped us include readings and a special candle lighting ceremony to add depth to the ceremony and tied them in at the exact right moments. She helped us honor those who have passed away and communicate our love and appreciation for our parents. The ceremony was also the exact right length - not too long but also not rushed through. We had the attention of my guests for the entire time! Most notably - Alice came to see us before the ceremony started to give a little pep talk. Her energy was exciting and it reminded me that all will be well. She brought copies of the readings for our family members and made sure we had all of the props we needed. It was nice to see her beforehand and took the edge off my nerves. The ceremony is so important. The reception will always go well - there’s food, drinks, and music. The ceremony does indeed require some meticulous planning and it is important to have someone who interprets your vision and listens to what you want. It was exactly what I asked her for and will be a memory I hold onto forever. Even my tough exterior husband was happy at how personal and emotional it was. Could not have been happier with having Alice as our wedding officiant. Alice was extremely easy to work with and accommodating from start to finish! We decided to have her write our entire ceremony. Alice sent us questionnaires to fill out via email to help her get to know us better. Through her questions, she wrote the perfect ceremony for us. We then had a few video chats, and received our entire ceremony before the event for approval. Everyone complimented us on how amazing the ceremony was!! We also did a handfasting ceremony which was executed perfectly. It's clear that Alice knows what she's doing when it comes to weddings!!!

My now-husband and I loved having Alice as our wedding officiant especially during this time. She had provided both virtual and in-person options. One thing we loved was her suggestion of a ring warming ceremony where she invited our two guests to warm our wedding bands and make a wish/bless them on behalf of everyone we love who couldn't be with us on our wedding day. Our original plan prior to the pandemic was to have a small city hall wedding; once we realized that was no longer feasible, we still wanted to have a small ceremony with an officiant. Alice was the perfect person to marry us - she guided us through this new normal of getting married - from registering for a license online, to taking the time to get to know us as a couple, and we are so thankful for her.

We contacted Alice and right away, felt a personal connection with her. From the first zoom call we had, we knew we wanted to work with her, and made the decision to hire her within a day of speaking to her. Alice is warm, caring and takes interest in each one of her clients beyond just that of a business interaction. Alice made everything incredibly easy to fill out with her online portal, and via email. We gave her the information she would need to write our ceremony, and she curated a beautiful, personalized ceremony. Just before our ceremony, I was incredibly nervous. Alice greeted me with warmth and kindness, guiding us separately through the signing of the marriage certificate and helping us calm our nerves. She took care of everything from the the beginning to the end of the ceremony, and we couldn’t be happier with how things turned out. We were so nervous about finding an officiant who would understand what we wanted in terms of a ceremony, and Alice delivered 100%. We are so happy we found Alice, and had an amazing officiant on our wedding day!

Alice was wonderful. She answered all of my questions promptly. We got married on her lakefront property which was beautiful and made our small covid ceremony much more meaningful. I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to get married.

Alice Soloway was professional when performing our virtual ceremony. Excellent communicator and we can tell she loves her job. She had the warmest smile during the whole ceremony. She made us feel secure and assure us she was here for us and it was about us and she was here to help. We messaged her on the day our license was issued and she message us back quick. She was able to fit us in her schedule the next day. During the ceremony she gave us options on how to stand/sit and gave us words to exchange that made happy tears flow. It was a simple and beautify marriage ceremony. Thank you Alice we are very happy!

We highly recommend Alice! She's lovely yet professional, and works with speed/efficiency. Due to Covid-19 pandemic we had to get married virtually (we had family members from around the world join in through Zoom), but she still managed to make it very sweet and personal. Who knew a zoom wedding could be so beautiful! :-)
