o three parts: 1. Her professionalism. When she says she will follow up, she will. When she says she will be somewhere, she will. With Alina there is no last minute wedding day coordinating which is everything as a bride! (Especially for myself since I didn’t have a planner) She also has posing nailed down and moves efficiently especially with large family groups which saved valuable time on the wedding day. She also is INSANELY quick at getting photos back—Saturday engagement gallery was delivered that Tuesday and Saturday wedding gallery was delivered the following Saturday. Unmatched. 2. Her industry experience. She is well connected in the Lynchburg area and was always happy to give advice in other areas of the wedding like where to find a specific type of wedding dress! She also was the best hypewoman when it came to picking out outfits for our engagement shoot! 3. Her work. It speaks for itself. It’s timeless. The right balance of true color and light and airy. She knows the types of poses that are likely to end up on your wall and spends the majority of the session capturing those. Also—HAIR-OGRAPHY! In addition to posing she coaches how to adjust your hair! LOVED this! Everyone I show our photos to gasps and compliments how good the photography is. amily photos that Alina shot for us this past weekend. My wife, dog (Macy), and I want to do yearly family photos and needed a photographer in the Northern Virginia area. After a few google searches, we came across Alina Thomas Photography - and we were sold. Alina is THE BEST photographer we have ever worked with, not only was she extremely flexible with our schedule she went out of her way to make us feel comfortable during the shoot. I believe one of the key elements that differentiate a good photographer from a great photographer is their ability to make the shoot fun and you feel comfortable. Alina talked us through each of the poses and looks she needed to get the perfect shot, and the results are amazing! I wish we knew about Alina when we were looking for our wedding photographer, after seeing some of her wedding albums and then experiencing her in action first hand I would have booked her over all the others. With that said, my wife and I could not be more pleased with the photos we received - we will definitely be using her for our family photos next year and referring her to all of our friends. If you need a phenomenal photographer for your engagement, wedding, or just family pictures Alina Thomas Photography is the only photography I will recommend.

o I could trust with capturing the most special day of my life. At our engagement session, Alina felt like a long lost friend. We had the best time talking and laughing with her, and she made us feel totally at ease! As the wedding approached, she helped us plan out a photo schedule and really took the stress off of us. On our big day, I was so thankful for her calm presence, flexibility, and creativity! I am amazed with how the pictures turned out- Alina can turn any setting into a masterpiece! She guided everyone perfectly in the posed portraits so that they didn’t look awkward, and she also captured the most perfect candid moments. On top of everything, I was absolutely blown away to receive my entire album- nearly 800 edited photos- just ONE WEEK after our wedding! She arrived on time and had everything down to a detailed schedule, working well with anything that arose during our evening. The best part about working with Alina is that we got ALL of our pictures back from her 2 weeks after we got married! We were thrilled, and have been able to enjoy looking back at our special day knowing that everything was captured completely and beautifully. We have been hearing back from all of our guests and family who couldn't make it that Alina's photographs were out of this world, and we couldn't agree more. They captured all the family and friend shots we needed, and we were left with plenty of time for creative, fun, and romantic shots as well such as our sunset pictures. I didn't realize how lovely they would be until I saw them, Alina really has a great eye for a beautiful shot, and we will treasure the photos. We have some slightly more traditional "wedding portrait" photos, and many creative photographs that are beautiful! I loved that the photos do not look staged, fake, or cliche - they created lovely images that captured the beauty of Sorella and the excitement and romance of the wedding day. We were so excited to get our pictures during our honeymoon! Only 7 days after our ceremony and they were more than we could have imagined! We received more than enough photos for our album and to share with our family and friends. Alina and Timmy's, professionalism, skill, and artistic eye were all deeply appreciated. Everyone who has seen the photos absolutely love them! Alina Photography is highly recommended and I would certainly hire them again.

d of hated it! Thomas and I must have looked at 50 photographers, and if anything that's an under exaggeration. When we came across Alina's work, we knew right away that her style of photography was what we had been looking for. We loved the bright colors in her photographs that captured the true beauty of the day. Once we started talking with Alina, we knew she was the one for us! My husband and I live right outside of DC and wanted to do our engagement shoot in this area. Alina and Timmy didn't even bat an eye and drove up here just to shoot us for a couple of hours in the spot where we got engaged. Something I didn't expect was the speediness in which Alina gave us our photos back. A week after our shoot, we had all our engagement photos. For our wedding weekend, Alina and Timmy shot both our rehearsal dinner and wedding day. Our wedding day was a loooooong day and Alina and Timmy were troopers and captured everything to perfection. To no surprise, we received our wedding photo gallery within a week as well! Incredible! We were in awe of all of the photos. They were exactly what we hoped they would be. If you are looking for a photographer (even outside of the Lynchburg area), I would highly recommend Alina. You won't be disappointed!

I scheduled a group run with my bridesmaids the morning of our wedding (we wore matching orange tank tops and "race bibs" to make the run extra fun) and Alina and Timmy were totally willing to meet us early to get some shots of us girls. The pictures turned out AMAZING and are just as fun and cute as I'd hoped they would be. The group run was something I was really excited about (all of us are runners) and the fact that we now have awesome photos from it makes it even more special. Chris and his groomsmen went skeet shooting at our wedding venue (Sorella Farms) in the late morning and Alina and Timmy again went the extra mile by meeting them out there to get some action shots of the guys doing manly things. Once again, we love having these memories to look back on from our wedding day! And then, of course, there's the actual wedding itself. I just can't speak highly enough of Alina and Timmy and the work they did. All the detail shots and getting-ready shots are gorgeous. Alina captured some pretty funny moments between Chris and me during our first look; those pictures speak directly to our personalities and will forever be a fun story to tell: "Remember that time when you photo-bombed me during my bridal portraits?!? Let's look at those hilarious pictures again!" ;-) Alina and Timmy were so calm and organized despite the craziness of the entire day. We had a gorgeous outdoor ceremony and right as the processional was starting, we heard ominous thunder claps not too far off. It had been a sunny and beautiful day up until that point, but a storm was quickly approaching at exactly the wrong time!! Throughout the entire ceremony the wind was whipping around and the thunder and lightning grew louder and closer. It was actually pretty cool, although I was internally freaking out at the time! But we made it through the whole ceremony and Alina and Timmy quickly gathered the immediate families together for pictures. At the time I know we were all just itching to make a break for the reception at the barn before the skies broke loose, but I am SO grateful that Alina and Timmy kept their cool and made sure we got those family shots! We had just enough time to get them in and make it to the barn before the rain started, so it worked out perfectly! The reception was so fun and Alina and Timmy did their part to make sure everything went according to plan despite the weather. The rain did finally let up and we got the most amazing sunset photos!! We also had a videographer and we were so impressed with how well they all worked together despite not having worked together previously. We seriously can't thank Alina and Timmy enough for all their help throughout the wedding day AND the whole planning process. They answered my many questions during the past year and continue to do so even after the wedding!! They are truly lovely people and I would recommend them to anyone! - Sallie and Chris Post

omas, we both looked at her work and liked what we saw so we contacted her to see about her prices. She was reasonably priced and she was available for our date (which is always a plus). I met her and her husband Timothy and they were both genuinely great people. I knew they would be perfect for us and for our wedding in 2016. We had our engagement shoot recently and had so much fun. They are open to go to any destination and I was so happy share a beautiful location and such a sentimental spot for my fiancé and I. They are a great couple to work with, and work so well together. They made us feel comfortable in front of the camera(s). We were both so excited to see some of the sneak peeks that Alina was going to post, and we're very surprised when she sent us the whole gallery shortly after she sent a few sneak peeks.
