I could write a 5 part essay on what an amazing experience it was to work with Alison for our wedding day and it still wouldn't be enough to express how happy I am to have had her as my photog! She communicated with me every week leading up to the wedding and helped us solidify our timeline and made our day happen flawlessly, even with doing shoots at 6 different locations. The photos are absolutely breathtaking and I will cherish them forever. She captured the day I had been working on for years so perfectly and had the best ideas for shots I wouldn't have ever thought up (but that are now my favorite!) Thank you for the best day ever and for being the easiest decision to make during the wedding planning process!

Alison is AMAZING!!! We loved her photos and after meeting with her, we knew we wanted her to help us capture our special day! This year was not an ideal year to get married, however instead of postponing from our original date- we opted for a small ceremony this summer with the plan of having our big reception when it was safe. Alison was gracious, flexible, accommodating, and was willing to come to us in Lexington instead of our original Covington, KY location. In a year of frustration and the stress of completely re-planning a wedding, Alison has been one the few vendors that made our year easier!! We are so so so thankful for her!!

We are so thankful that Alison was available to photograph our wedding day. Alison spent several hours with us and our dogs taking engagement photos in three different locations. We made a list photos for Alison prior to the day of the wedding to ensure she was aware of the of the special handmade elements. She came up with a timeline for the day to ensure we had enough for everything on the day of the wedding and made sure we stayed as close to the timeline as possible. Alison answered all e-mails, calls, and text in a timely manner and was happy to answer any questions we had leading up to the big day. For the wedding day Alison showed up early to walk around our venue to familiarize herself with the best space for photos. Alison spent almost 14 hours with us the day of the wedding making sure she captured all the special elements of our day. Alison was prompt in providing us all our photos. We love our photos and would highly recommend Alison!

Alison was wonderful - great personality and up for anything (including engagement photos in 100 degree weather!). She captured our day beautifully and was prompt with getting our photos to us. Obtained the photos we asked for as well as some our guests asked for also.

Alison Ford was an integral part of our special day on May 26th, 2019 in Dayton, Ohio. Before my husband Michael and I got engaged, I started looking at wedding photographers as I knew that was thee most important decision of the day for me. I LOVE photos and have a certain way I like to capture them to tell a story. Alison was always my top choice but never thought she would be within reach for our budget. What a blessing it was that Alison was an amazing value for her incredible talents and that by God’s grace she had a cancellation for our date. Our wedding ceremony was a traditional Greek Orthodox service which includes many symbolic and sacred elements to it. Although Alison had never attended a Greek Orthodox wedding before, she watched several Greek wedding videos online beforehand and made sure to capture each element of the service beautifully. Many involved in the wedding commented on how unnoticeable Alison was, blending in while capturing joyous candid moments. The best compliment came after our sneak peak when a friend mentioned that Alison's photos "reminded her of my own photos," Alison truly understood my style and vision. Alison took the intricate detail shots, captured various unposed moments, had creative ideas, and remembered all the important elements we had discussed. We incorporated many meaningful elements into our wedding such as my flowers being a whisk (I like to bake), baseball centerpieces (my husband is a huge Cincinnati Reds fan), having yard games and a live Greek band...Alison remembered it all and the photos of these elements mean the world to us as we reminisce about the special day. Being a long distance bride (I was living in Wichita, Kansas at the time), Alison was flexible with our two meeting dates and fabulous at communicating virtually in-between. Our images were edited beautifully with a terrific balance of black and whites thrown in. Alison sent us fun sneak peaks after the wedding and got us the whole gallery in a timely manner. On our wedding day, Alison was a calming factor for us all. Alison helped make sure we kept moving and had time for all the photos that were important to us. Alison has such a kind heart, keen eye for details, and a creative flair in her images. My mom, brother, and dad have each individually told me that they are so happy I choose Alison as our photographer. Alison was so wonderful with family members' desire to snap so many of their own photos which really meant a lot to them. Alison is a treasured soul whom we feel so blessed to have gotten to know and work with. Every time we share our photos with others the overwhelming response is how incredibly stunning the images are. We are so appreciative to Alison for capturing the joy, happiness, beauty, love, fun, hope, laughter, and friendship that we had been praying the day would be filled with. Alison does a great job capturing your special day. She takes charge and makes sure you stay on a nice schedule. I love her creativity with the photos and venues. She goes above and beyond to capture unique moments. She is also down for ANYTHING to make the bride and groom happy. All you have to do is ask!

I spent a LOT of time researching photographers, got a lot of quotes and checked portfolios... it seemed like the quality I wanted was going to cost AT LEAST $3,000--until I came across Alison. The quality of her work was just as good if not better, but the price was a fraction of what similar companies charged. I feel like I got a steal for what i received. She met up with me before the wedding and spent a lot of time getting details and making sure she captured what I wanted. She was VERY accommodating and flexible, she didn't push her opinions on me but tried to make sure she executed what I wanted. On the day of the wedding she took charge and left the stress out of my hands. I ended up with over 1,300 photos and she spent the whole day with us. Needless to say I got some awesome pictures and I'm very glad I went with Alison as my wedding photographer. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.

Alison was great from the moment we met her. She listened to exactly what we wanted and we never felt rushed in any of the meetings. Alison made sure the timeline was clear and kept us running smooth even with the little hiccups. We wanted a lot of candid pictures and that is exactly what she gave us. We had the normal staged ones with our bridal party but she was getting pictures without me even knowing she was there. The pictures are absolutely stunning! Alison was amazing. I had two meetings with her before the wedding and she spent 8 hours with us on our wedding day. We truly felt like she was "one of the family" attending our small wedding. I personally hate taking pictures so I told her I wanted more "candid" photos than formal photos. Boy did she deliver ... the pictures are amazing. I really couldn't have asked for a better representation of the vision I had for the type of photos I wanted. I will cherish them forever and would recommend Alison to anyone. Alison has an keen eye on photography! She is an incredibly talented professional who can make the pictures do justice to reality. What a beautiful job she did at our wedding to capture the memories for a lifetime. She showed up on time (even earlier than we originally planned) and captured all the perfect moments at our wedding. We met once and talked once before the wedding to discuss all the details (I live out of town so we couldn't schedule a lot of time together), and even though I got her a shot list late and didn't give a lot of clear direction, she took what we talked about and ran with it. It was amazing! She was also very organized throughout the planning process and always calm and easy to work with. She processed the photos pretty quickly after the wedding too. Our fave vendor! Alison takes amazing photos! I was really happy with how our wedding and engagement photos turned out, and how she was able to get us to express ourselves and look good doing it! Be sure to look through her albums on her website (she's the only photographer we met who posts entire albums, not just 'best-of') if you're considering booking her. My only complaint is that she can be a little scattered organizationally (we had some trouble with appointments), but while shooting, she's in the zone. Her turnaround on photos is also very quick- hundreds of images, all beautifully edited in just a few weeks.

Looking at our photos, she captured moments from the perfect angle so we have memories for a lifetime! She was there the entire day, and didn't bill by the hour which we loved. Alison Ford took our pictures for our New Years Eve wedding and we can not say enough good things about her photography services. From the first time we met with Alison, we could tell we wanted her to be a part of our special day. She took time to meet with us in person, review our plans and create a detailed schedule to capture each important moment. On our actual wedding day, Alison was helpful, informative and helped create wonderful moments for photography. She listened to what we wanted and did a beautiful job organizing our wedding party. Alison was polite and professional with everyone. We choose to take pictures along the Ohio River with the Cincinnati skyline in the background. She kept us smiling with mini-previews of our pictures throughout the day! Alison used different lenses and lighting to make our faces illuminate while fading the skyline in the background. She also has great editing skills and used a black and white effect on some of our pictures to make our "party pictures" crisp and artist. We cannot say enough nice things about Alison. We toyed around with so many ideas for our pictures. And as every bride knows, it doesn't always work out the way you want. We had rain so it put a "damper" on our big shot...But that didn't stop Alison. She made every picture look like our big shot! The colors were vibrant, the guests were smiling and having a blast, my husband and I were glowing all night...and she captured all of it! My son gave the most sob worthy toast of the evening. Not a dry eye in the house! Alison even captured a huge crocodile tear rolling down his face...it was precious.
