Cannot express how wonderful it was to work with Alison (and her awesome husband)! They are the real deal. Alison made us feel so comfortable during our engagement and wedding photos! She was easily the most organized vendor we worked with!!! It made us feel so confident in our wedding photography timeline! Our photos are absolutely amazing! Soo happy we chose to work with Alison Mae Photography!!

Alison was absolutely AMAZING on our wedding day. She was such a calming presence and kept everything light and fun, even though I was incredibly nervous. She makes you feel like you are her only client - she gets to know you and remembers you. Our pictures turned out absolutely gorgeous. We are so happy with them, and could not have asked for a better photographer to support us on our day.

Alison was an absolute all-star on our wedding team! She went way above and beyond her role as a photographer, and took our entire wedding to the next level. She built us a fool-proof schedule, with the perfect amount of time for hiccups, but also with time for us to just be together and enjoy the moment. She kept us on track and kept us calm moving through each event on the timeline. Her attention to detail was irreplaceable, and gave us some peace of mind in the craziness of our wedding day. Alison and her husband, Zach, were so helpful, and truly happy to be a part of our big day. Zach took care of everything from throwing the veil, to cooling us down in the heat, to helping Dylan roll up his sleeves when it was time to bust a move on the dance floor. They did so much that we didn't expect from them, but let's not forget to mention what we hired them for in the first place! We were absolutely amazed with each of the over 1,400 photos that Alison Mae Photography captured that day. I was amazed by the amount of emotion that she was able to seal in time for us. It's difficult to keep a dry eye when looking through our album. Alison brought Rachel as her second photographer for the day, and these two didn't miss a moment. As we reflected on our favorite memories from our wedding, we found a beautiful photo that brought us back to each of them. They were even more stunning than we had remembered. Being so busy as the bride and groom, there were plenty of moments that our guests shared, but we missed. It made us so happy to see that Alison and Rachel captured those moments for us too. Alison is certainly talented with the camera, but she brings it to the next level by knowing how to get genuine reactions from us for our portraits. Giving us prompts and making us laugh really brought out the emotions we were feeling. Our portraits were beautiful, and I was taken by surprise by the action shots snapped at the reception. There were so many awesome photos from the planned photos, like the bouquet toss, but also the unplanned ones, like Dylan running to the dance floor when his song came on. Every time we look through the photo gallery we find a special photo that we had missed from the last time we had looked. There are just so many of them! Alison is seriously an amazing person and photographer. Our wedding would not have been nearly as perfect as it was if Alison wasn't a part of it. Please do yourself a favor and make her a part of your wedding too. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Alison!

Wow, wow, wow! There is so much to say about AMP! From the moment I first inquired about photography for my wedding, I instantly felt like Alison and I had been best friends for years. She is so easy to talk to and makes you feel like you’re the only client she has. She helped me with a wedding timeline and included every little detail/wish I was envisioning for my big day. The planning process was so smooth with AMP and my day would not have went as smooth as it did without Alison’s help and attention to detail. For the day of, Alison and Zach stuck to schedule and reminded everyone of what to do and what’s coming next. They both were so incredibly friendly and my family/bridal party still talk about how great Alison made the experience just by being kind. Zach jumped in and helped pin the boutonnières for the guys, and of course helped with his speciality of tossing the veil/train. Alison and Zach are such a wonderful team together and they ensured our wedding day was perfect. We are so incredibly obsessed with our pictures!! Alison sent me a sneak peak the day after the wedding and I was in tears. On our one month anniversary, she shared all of the photos with us and we had so much fun looking at them together and reliving the day. Alison captured moments in time she knew would be important to us, and I can’t begin to explain how meaningful it is to work with someone who takes the time to get to know you. Alison’s talent for photography combined with her personality and kind heart makes AMP magical. We are repeat clients of Alison Mae Photography. After Alison photographed our son’s wedding a few years ago, we couldn’t imagine anyone else documenting our daughter’s wedding day. Alison not only captured the very essence of our family’s celebration and archived it exactly as we had hoped the day would go but also exactly as we remember it. Her photos are so beautiful and professional. Some of our favorite photos are the candids of the bride, groom, family, and friends enjoying the day and celebrating together. After taking all the posed pictures before the ceremony, we hardly knew Alison was there the rest of the evening documenting the fun and laughter. Though Alison is an awesome photographer, she also provides great service before the wedding. Alison helped us schedule the whole day and created a detailed timeline to share with the wedding party and family. She also works well with other vendors to make the day run smoothly. Alison is simply the most amazing person and photographer! There are not enough words to express how incredible she is. She treats each one of her couples as friends and cares deeply for all of them. Alison, and her husband Zach, made the engagement session so much fun and not feel awkward, posed, or uncomfortable. We spent the time together laughing and enjoying ourselves while taking pictures that were very natural. Even my husband, who does not enjoy taking lot of pictures, had an incredible time and talked about the session for weeks. For the wedding, Alison helped us put together a timeline and helped us be well prepared for our wedding day. I feel like without Alison there, it would have been so much harder and we would be much more stressed out. But Alison had so much experience and knowledge about the best way to make the day run smoothly, and we had full faith in her - and she flawlessly delivered. The photos from our wedding turned out beyond incredible. She was able to catch all of the special moments, regardless of whether they were planned. She effortlessly directs people on where to go and how to pose (without looking posed). We got so many compliments on not only on the finished pictures, but also on Alison, Zach, and second shooter Kayla's presence at the wedding. Every time I look through the pictures that Alison took for us I fall in love all over again. She memorialized in the most beautiful way one of the most special days of our lives and we could not thank her more. I would use Alison again and again and would 100% recommend her to any friend, family, or couple out there looking for timeless and beautiful photos with, without a doubt, one of the most caring and incredible people I have ever met.

Alison is amazing. She went above and beyond! I was stressing out about the timeline for the day because every vendor had their idea of what was best. Alison met up with me and we worked it out. She was soooo easy to work with. She has great advice and makes the day run smoothly. She was the reason we decided to do a "first look" and it ended up being my favorite part of the whole day. We'd hire her again in a heartbeat.

When we were looking for photographers, Alison was recommended to us by a mutual friend. We met her and her husband for dinner, and I knew 10 minutes into the conversation that I wanted to hire them for our wedding. She was without a doubt one of my rocks when it came to planning a wedding during COVID. She was with us every step of the way and was extremely supportive of our decisions. When we had issues and needed to find new vendors, she was there with recommendations. When we decided to postpone the big reception to next year, she blocked several spots on her calendar to make sure we had her for next year. The day of the wedding, she and Zach were so fun, professional, and put together that it made me able to enjoy the day stress free. They are the absolute best in the Indy area, and I can’t say enough good things about them. They were able to get my now-husband to open up and relax in front of a camera, which is hard to do. Plus, I got sneak peak pictures the next day, which as a bride who wanted to relive the day, was a huge blessing. You cannot go wrong booking Ali and Zach!

This is going to be a long review, so buckle in! Photography is (arguably) the most important investment you'll make as far as vendors for your wedding day. With that, I can say with 100% confidence your money will be well-spent choosing to go with Alison - and added bonus, Zach! The care and attention Alison provides from your first conversation to your wedding day is unlike any other service industry professional. She's personable, friendly, genuine and an absolute pleasure to be around, but most importantly she cares about you as a couple and what your day is all about as much as she cares about the resulting photographs. Like many others, my wedding was affected by COVID, but Alison pivoted like she had already braced for the impact! She showed up to a ceremony with <5 guests in attendance and treated us as if it was our originally planned 200+ invitee ceremony and reception. She didn't skip a beat capturing all of the typical shots you'd want and even stuck around to capture a special moment with our socially-distanced, drive-thru greeting! My husband was nervous for our engagement pictures, but Alison's tricks and guidance made the session effortless to get you everything from the "mom shots" to candid moments. Not to mention, Zach is a pro when it comes to handling things in the background so that Alison can dedicate that much more time to just being behind the camera, capturing the beautiful shots she creates! All of the guidance and instruction familiar to you at your engagement session translates straight into the wedding day, getting every picture you asked for during planning...and then some! I could write a novel dedicated to all of the pros to choosing Alison as your photographer, but truly her work should speak for itself. If you are in the market for the most flexible, easy-going, professional, friendly, kind and genuine wedding photographer I could not recommend Alison more. Go with Alison - you won't regret it! Alison and her team could not have been bigger champions for the success of our wedding day. Her positivity helped us navigate the never ending change in plans due to covid, and allowed me to relax and enjoy our last-minute intimate backyard ceremony. On top of all of that, she has an incredible eye, giving us an amazing catalog of photos of our special day.

My then fiancé Mark and I first met Alison and her husband Zach for a getting to know you session to see if Alison was the right fit for our wedding. Three hours of laughter and conversation later, we knew we had found our photographer. Alison first did our engagement photos—she is very open and flexible. We started at our home and then walked across the street to another subdivision on a large lake and took pictures there. A homeowner we didn’t know noticed what we were doing and offered to take us out on his boat to get some shots. And Alison and her husband were game and we hit some great photos! On our wedding day it poured. And poured. And poured. We had to scratch the outside photos of the farm we had so hoped to take and Alison offered to do them at a later date for us, which we did at our first anniversary. She is very calming and knows what to shoot. Her husband Zach assists her and is a calming presence too. My husband and I highly recommend Alison. Beautiful photos and a wonderful, fun couple!

Alison is such an amazing, kind hearted person that puts so much love and effort into you and your photos. She takes time to get to know you so she can capture the best moments. She’s our family go to and she has become a part of the family.

So far Ali has just done our engagement session, but we already can’t wait for her to photograph our wedding next year! It’s easy to find a photographer who’s style matches what you envisioned for your day, but much more difficult to find someone that makes you feel like they are just as excited for your wedding as you are. Ali was my hype girl during our engagement session and made me feel so comfortable. She even was able to get our excitable golden retriever to look right at the camera and smile, something we have never been able to do. She is truly a dog whisperer. She is also incredibly responsive to any communication and is insanely organized before the session and the day of, something that was very important to me. She and Zach are two of the most fun and genuine humans and we are so happy we chose them as our photo team! I can’t say enough wonderful things about them, they deserve 10 stars instead of 5. We highly highly recommend AMP to any couple looking for wedding photography!

Alison was so great to work with! Her work is absolutely amazing but she’s also the kindest, most organized person I’ve ever met. She made the most detailed timeline for the wedding day that made everything so easy and made it nice for our families to know where and when to be somewhere. Alison also made the whole day so fun, there’s a lot of pictures to take the day of, but she is full of energy and makes it so fun and light hearted. Our wedding photographer cancelled last minute, Friday 12/27/19 @9pm, because she was ill, the wedding was 12/28/19. I found Alison through Facebook and messaged her at 9pm on 12/27 and she was all for taking pictures for our sons wedding! Her and her husband got there early and did an absolutely stunning job! I spent hours searching for the perfect photographer. Finding the one who shot the best angles, while capturing the bright natural light was no small task. After our initial phone call with Alison, I knew I had found our photographer! Alison took time to learn about us, and the vision we had for our wedding day. What I didn’t realize was all the things she would be doing in addition to taking the photos. Alison was the most valuable part of our wedding planning process. From a beautiful engagement session, to wedding day timeline assistance, to coordinating with all our vendors, to entertaining our dogs after we were done taking photos with them (thanks to Alison’s husband and assistant, Zach!). I received more compliments about Alison’s team from wedding guests that I can count. Did I mention that her time frame for turning around photos is incredibly fast? Alison offers far more than a wedding photography package. She is the glue that will hold your wedding together and make the day as seamless as possible!

I was so nervous about everything to do with the wedding, but from the first time we met, Alison set me at ease with her amazing planning! Alison is the most kind and attentive photographer I’ve ever worked with. She is so supportive and cooperative with engagement sessions and the day of the wedding. And she loves pups and other animals if you want to include those fury family members! She does so much to make the best day of you life 100% perfect!

I cant say enough positive things about Alison and her work. First time we met up with her and Zach (Husband and pack-mule for their team) we immediately knew they were genuine people. We did our engagement session in the fall before our wedding and the pictures turned out amazing. Unfortunately the leaves hadnt changed like we had hoped so Alison offered us another shoot to assure we could get the photos Emily and I desired! We were blown away with this offer since it was nothing that she could control nor did wrong. That proved that Alison has 1 priority; to give her clients the photos they have dreamed of no matter what. Planning for the wedding photos (pictures of what family members, where to take them, etc) was a breeze. Alison gave us recommendations of what she has seen from her experiences and also helped make our thoughts a reality. It couldnt have been made more simple. Finally our wedding day came and again Alison, Zach, and Abbie (second shooter) were incredible. They got all of the shots we asked for, ad libbed on shots in the moment, and captured numerous photos of our friends and family. Sadly The Knot only allows a certain amount of characters or I would keep going about AMP. The photos we have gotten were stunning and working with them set the bar incredibly high for any other vendor I will work with in the future. If you dont use Alison then you arent doing your wedding justice!

UPDATED 9/8/20: Where do I even start with the sweet soul that is Ali? Honestly, just book her immediately. She is one of the most endearing and genuine people I've ever met. She is so naturally wonderful at making you feel at ease, and it shows in her work. Her husband is an awesome addition to her services. On my wedding day, he carried my dress, helped me into vehicles, fanned me while it was hot out, carried my bouquet, threw the veil for pictures, got Benadryl for my bug bite-you name it, he was on it. They're a pretty rockstar team, and what better vibes for your wedding day than a duo like Alison and Zach? Every bride deserves to feel the way that Alison made me feel on my wedding day, which was like a good friend, and not just someone who was paying her for my services. She created an entire timeline for our wedding day, was attentive to things that my husband and I asked for, she was assertive at making sure that we were the priority the entire day, and she laughed and enjoyed the night with us. Seriously, it doesn't get any better. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Alison. Just after a phone call to discuss photography options, I immediately felt like I was catching up with an old friend. This immediately put me at ease for being photographed for such an important milestone in my life. I have never felt more comfortable being photographed. She makes the process natural, easy, and actually enjoyable. When locations that we had planned for didn't pan out, she immediately was able to come up with a backup plan on the spot and it probably turned out better than our original plan, to be honest. The really amazing thing was that less than 24 hours later, we had our entire engagement gallery edited and ready to view. The emotions that I felt looking at the way she captured my fiance and I's relationship was truly special. Not only is she an incredibly talented photographer, but Alison is just a magical human being, and I can't recommend her enough.

Alison is amazing! She did our engagement photos in our home and she did so well with our two year old. We got so many awesome pictures of all three of us together! On our wedding day she was a dream. She kept us on track the entire day and made sure we made it everywhere we needed to be. She also coached our huge families through photos to get us through as quickly as possible. She is seriously amazing and we could not imagine having any other photographer!

I cannot say enough great things about AMP! Ali and her husband Zach are an incredible team who work so hard to make sure your day is perfect! I would even text her on advice for other areas of the wedding because I had no clue what I was doing! She is so professional and so so incredibly talented. My husband and I were blown away by her pictures. It rained during our ceremony and her pictures were AMAZING!!! Poor Zach was in charge of holding our (bride&groom) umbrellas while Ali was finding the most perfect shot! They were both soaked by the end of pictures, but had not 1 negative comment about the rain. They actually were very positive and uplifting which made me feel SO much less anxious about the rain! You will not be disappointed with AMP services!

Alison and Zach are truly the greatest people in the whole world! We could not have asked for a better team for our wedding day! Ali is so talented and has the perfect eye for photography. She has a way of capturing those little moments you were not expecting and coming up with the most beautiful photos. Not only is she crazy talented, but they treat you like family from day one. They were with us all the way from getting ready early in the morning (she even brought me Starbucks!!! YUM!!) till we left the reception!
