Hi, I’m Alison Galloway—lead photographer and owner of Alison Shane Photography! I’ve been behind the camera for nearly 10 years, capturing love, laughter, and real-life moments that last a lifetime. I’m based in Carson City, NV, serving Reno, Lake Tahoe, and beyond. I'm a mom of four, coffee-fueled, Disney-loving, and a Ravenclaw. I started this journey with my late mother-in-law, who inspired me to pursue photography. Today, I shoot in her memory—creating joyful, heartfelt images for every story I tell.
My approach to photography is rooted in genuine connection and storytelling. I believe the most powerful images come from real, unscripted moments—not stiff poses or forced smiles. I create a relaxed atmosphere where you feel comfortable being your true selves. From quiet glances to belly laughs and tearful “I do’s,” I’m there to capture the honest, in-between moments. My style is joyful, natural, and heartfelt—focused on memories that truly last a lifetime.

he did our engagement session and wedding and always went above and beyond. She spend extra time with us during our engagement shoot because she was so excited about the pictures she was taking. She was always very responsive and organized during our planning process. I think something that sets her apart is that she is so nice and fun to be around and that really makes a big difference since you spend a lot of time with your wedding photographer. Her prices are amazing for the quality of her work! if you hire Alison you won't be disappointed!

The photographer was the most important part of my wedding for me (yes, even more than the dress but no, not more than the spouse) and Allison absolutely NAILED. IT.
