Alison to the Altar

experienced with Alison at the Altar. For starters, whenever we would have a phone call with Alison (check-in or modifying the floral plan) she had no idea whom she was talking to, running late to our phone appointment, and/or quoting misinformation on the floral plan (for example my centerpieces were 3 different size cylinder vases with floating candles inside, she continued to suggest lanterns and cylinders) I respectfully declined her suggestion each time but it seemed that it was always brought up during our phone calls. I consistently had to remind her of our floral vision and/or have to correct her often. I started cc'ing my wedding planner on all our emails so she was aware of what was going on. During the two-week check-in, I had concerns that I expressed to Alison and she reported back to my wedding planner threatening to pull out from our wedding (any bride would have anxiety about this two weeks before her wedding). She informed me that the arbor that we had planned to use was "broken" - I suggested to Alison that I could find another vendor that has the Hexagon arbor that we wanted in stock that way we did not have to use a backup arbor that we did not want. She stated that she had a replacement and that it would be there in time for the wedding. Fast forward to the wedding day, the said replacement arbor also broke so I had to use the backup arbor which was not a part of my backup plan. There is much more that I could include in this review but would exceed the word limit. What I can say is the florals did turn out how I expected them to turn out and my boutique was beautiful. Mike and I never met her in person on the day of the wedding, someone else from her staff brought the flowers to us. Alison's work is amazing and that goes without saying, I just think she needs to work on her communication skills and time management; it seems she takes on too many weddings and becomes overwhelmed/does not write anything down which then backfires when she has these meetings with her brides. For future brides, if you are using a wedding planner, I recommend you cc them in your emails, keep a paper trail and make sure you reiterate YOUR wedding vision and stick to it. Alison and her team provided the decor for our ceremony/reception and the florals. Working with them is so stress-free and I was able to just relax on my wedding day knowing they transformed a plain ballroom into a stunning coastal oasis! I highly recommend to anyone and everyone planning a wedding. You will not be disappointed!! Thank you to the entire team for decorating my wedding to be an absolute fairytale!

We have felt lucky to have her expert opinion as we figured out how to bring our vision to life through florals, rentals, centerpieces, etc. She's been gracious and flexible as we've navigated COVID, and though we had to push back our larger reception to 2021, her team still did our bouquets and flowers for our 'minimony' in September and we were BLOWN AWAY! The flowers were gorgeous and even prettier than what I had envisioned, and her team went above and beyond in delivering to two separate locations and dealing with the chaos of the day. The decorations were set up perfectly and she made sure the ceremony and reception stuck to the timeline. She even made sure all other vendors were there on time and went behind them to make sure they were set up and on task. She even made sure the bride and groom ate plenty of food and always had a drink in hand. Furthermore she just handled all the "little things" that we didn't even consider or think about. She made this day for us because we knew we could count on her and we could focus on what was important and that was celebrating us and our new beginning. We are so grateful someone made this recommendation for us!

The flowers were to die for! I never could have imagined something so beautiful. The staff was exceptionally friendly and you could tell are a great team of employees! matter-Alison’s plan B was admittedly prettier than my original Plan A and everything went off without a hitch. From the set up, to the ceremony, to the DJ, cake, and catering my day was small, intimate, and memorable-just the way I wanted it. I wouldn’t have been able to pull any of it off without Alison To The Altar’s attention to detail, quick action, and support.

We started working with Alison over a year before our wedding, she gave us a recommended vendor list (we used her chair vendor for the ceremony) and she checked in periodically throughout the year to see how the process was going. When the wedding got closer, we met in person to talk through what was done and what still needed to be done. The day before the wedding, we did a walk through with Alison at both our ceremony and reception sites. The day of Alison coordinated with our reception venue to decorate for the reception and made sure the ceremony chairs were setup correctly. She had a few other weddings going on the same day, so one of her assistants, Brittany, was the officiant for our ceremony and did a great job making sure the transition from the ceremony to the reception went smoothly. Thank you Alison and the Alison to the Altar team for helping us make our wedding day everything we dreamed it would be! Highly recommend!
