Please keep in mind that I live in Florida and was planning my wedding in Monterey, CA... From the start Alison was such a help and wealth of knowledge... She has amazing relationships with vendors and was able to book my DJ, Flowers and Photography within the first week or two of planning... Those vendors were absolutely amazing!!!! Alison was consistently checking in with my daily and was ALWAYS available to take a call or email from me!
I can be pretty demanding and a control freak and Alison was so amazing with her patience and allowed me the floor to help in making decisions with her...
She and her staff were on site the entire weekend for our wedding and were so organized, I never had to worry about a thing! She kept everyone on schedule and the day went off perfectly!!!!

ally firing her) as our wedding planner. After many months of putting up with the additional stress Alison was causing us, we finally came to yelp and saw Tammy G's review (unfortunately we did not look for reviews of Alison sooner). After reading the review, we knew we had to fire Alison or the same thing was going to happen to us on our wedding day. We lost money, but, in the end, I am so thankful we did not have her there on our wedding day. She would have only made things more difficult.
When I first spoke to Alison, I was very excited because she seemed organized, detail oriented, personable, and professional. It seemed like she and her "team" were just what we were looking for. I thought they would help take away some of the stress of wedding planning. Unfortunately, we hired her to help us plan our wedding, but, in the end, she only made things more difficult. As we started working with her, we realized that she may take on more work than she can handle. Frankly, she seems spread to thin and provides terrible service as a result. She was always difficult to get a hold of, and she is extremely unprofessional and unresponsive via e-mail. My mom and I would send her questions via e-mail, and she would either: (1) not respond; (2) only respond to one of the multiple questions we posed; or (3) not respond to the question we asked. All three options meant my mom and I had to consistently follow-up with her to receive answers to make sure our wedding planning was on track. It seemed as though we had to manage our wedding planner to make sure she was doing what she was supposed to be doing for us. She never instilled confidence that everything was going as planned. We kept thinking that although she seems disorganized in the planning stages, she would be worth it on the day of the wedding.
After months of putting up with managing her, our final straw came when we contacted our transportation provider. Alison set up our van transpiration for our guests to and from the ceremony/reception. We repeatedly asked her for copies of the contract so we could review the details. On numerous occasions she said she would get it to us, but she would never follow-through. My mom was finally sick of waiting (she had been waiting months), and asking her for the contract, so she finally called the transportation vendor herself. First, he indicated that he was never asked to send the contract. Second, he said that we were booked for a 4:00 p.m. wedding. Our wedding was scheduled for 6:00 p.m.! That was it for us. We realized that if our wedding planner can't even send us a simple vendor contract (or even ask the vendor for it), and can't get our wedding time right, she wasn't going to be "worth it" on the day of the wedding.
In short, she is unprofessional, disorganized, and not worth the money. She only caused us unnecessary stress.

s we wanted. She also offered many great vendor recommendations, honeymoon ideas, answered all of our questions, was very accessible by phone and/or email, which helped us immensely in our planning. She coordinated with all of our vendors (prior to and on the day of), set up decorations and all of the little details, and orchestrated the day smoothly and seamlessly.
