Carol Crist
Owner
Ms. Crist’s experience started in the hotel industry as a catering assistant for a Holiday Inn in Alexandria, Virginia and as the Executive Assistant to the owner and General Manager at the Hilton Hotel in Whittier, California. Her experience in both of these avenues provided the tools necessary to gain acceptance as the personal and departmental event planner to the CIO of Southern California Edison, a utility with over 13000 employees. Ms Crist moved to Albuquerque in 2005 and started a successful wedding planning business, All About You Weddings and Events. In addition she taught a Wedding Planner's course at UNM for three years and has seen several of her students succeed in the Wedding Planning business. She currently books events in Albuquerque, Santa Fe and surrounding areas of the state.

Kathryn started as an intern last year and quickly became my right hand. She is very detailed oriented, always finds little items to remind me about and together we are a force!

Assistant planner
Caroline is the newest member of All About You Weddings and Events. Her skill set is organization and tasking when required. She excels at providing out of the box ideas to make the event sparkle. She is married and has two sons that she home schools. She currently resides in Rio Rancho. Her husband has a very successful knife making business in which she provides all of the social media components to advertise his prodiucts.

Carol was amazing! We planned a destination wedding in Santa Fe and couldn't have had such a lovely and perfect event without Carol and her team. She had great ideas and listened to what our preferences were and suggested vendors and venues that were in our budget and would be good to work with. She helped with planning all along the way and even changed course when we changed our minds and reached out to vendors as needed to make sure everything was in order and on schedule. We knew we were in good hands and felt confident that everything would go as planned. She made the whole process less stressful and we couldn't have done it without her. Everything was just perfect and we can highly recommend All About You Weddings and Carol was such a joy to work with!

My previous review was inadequate, so here goes. Carol from All about you weddings and events was stellar. At times I ruffled a few feathers with subs, and she both defended and produced for us. We were not a typical wedding with a circus and ceremony between elegant dinner courses , musicians, artist and performer’s( she would not allow me monkeys). We certainly recommend her and will use her services in the future for other events that we wish to make memorable .

Carol went above and beyond for us. We had originally hired for day of coordination and Carol did so much more than we expected. She made a schedule for the day of and distributed it to all the vendors which was one less thing for us to worry about. The reception was set up perfectly and the whole night was a breeze thanks to Carol and her team. Planning a wedding is incredibly stressful but having Carol there to help us made things a lot easier and took away a lot of stress. She is very professional and has a lot of experience so she asked questions to vendors that we would of never thought of. Highly recommend Carol and her team to help make the big day go as smooth as possible!

My wedding was perfect, and I was stress free the entire day thanks to Carol and her team at All About You Weddings and Events. Carol is the best there is! She walked me through every step and flawlessly coordinated with all the vendors! I planned my wedding from another state and having Carol locally in Albuquerque helped so much. She has all the best connections and truly advocated for me with all my vendors. The amount of work and effort she puts in is unmatched. I had two ceremonies in one day (Christian and Hindu) and because of Carol and her coordination I enjoyed every minute of the day without stressing. There aren't enough good things I can say about Carol. If you want the nest hire Carol!

As a bride, I felt more stressed days before my wedding than I did before hiring Carol as a wedding day coordinator. Our initial meeting went great, but as the wedding day got closer I felt things were out of sync between us. To communicate, we had a few in-person meetings and phone calls (we live out of state). We were a couple of weeks out and still couldn’t decide on a timeline. Not to mention the DJ we hired had a great timeline but she refused to look at it. The constant suggestions to rent different items when the venue already offered them was very frustrating. At one of our final meetings with our venue, Carol’s attitude towards the GM of the venue was extremely confrontational. The GM and his staff had been nothing short of amazing for us! Anything we needed they were upfront and honest about what they could and could not do. As the meeting continued, Carol’s attitude remained. I get people have bad days but she was rude and there was no cause for it. This was it for me, I was not going to work with someone who treats people this way.

Oh my goodness, I don't even know where to start with Carol. She was incredible. Her level of experience in the wedding industry really helped to shape our day into more than we could have imagined. With our selection of venue, Carol and Deb took care of all that we needed: Specifically the set up and break down of everything. She coordinated with vendors perfectly. She gave awesome vendor recommendations and was always so real. Such a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing help for the day of their wedding or even if they need someone to help plan the wedding from the get-go.

Carol is an extremely hard working wedding planner. We hired as a "wedding day coordinator" but she provider help and services well beyond just the day of the wedding. The strength of her personality helped us stay on track and all the vendors had clear instructions too. Occasionally we needed to contend with her ideas, but most all of them were for the better. She provided her high quality services at an amazing value!

Hiring Carol as our wedding planner was the best decision for our wedding! Carol is organized, knowledgeable and pleasant to work with, and she made sure all of our vendors did their part correctly. I highly recommend Carol as a planner, and if I ever need to host a large event in the future, I would definitely seek her out again.

I bought my gown from Rianne's Bridal and Val has her business in the bridal shop. I didn't think that I needed a wedding planner, but after all the stress of trying to do it alone I decided I needed at least the day of. I was so comfortable with Val and knew with her experience she was the planner I wanted. My whole family was lucky to have Val and her staff at our wedding so we could enjoy the day without any worries! Thanks Val and team!
