und April when we realized we were going to push back our wedding to May 2021, they told us the cost would be $2,500 more for our same package. We held out until black friday this year (2020) to try to get a deal again. WE FOUND DEALS ONLINE and asked them to book exact rooms that we already had priced out. They said they could not honor black friday deals and we wound up stuck paying nearly $1,000 more and for a lesser tier room that we could have independently booked online. Also would like to point out in the days leading up to the sales/during the sales, we left at least 3 voicemails and called (with NOBODY picking up the line) at least 15 different times. The ONLY way we could communicate was email, even when we got the manager involved and requested a phone call as it was time sensitive with black friday/cyber monday deals running a limited period of time. I see no point in using a travel agency when they subtract value from your trip...The point is there is supposed to be some extra benefit to using a travel agency, but we ended up in a lower room class and $1000 more down the pipe than we wouldve been on our own. 110% would have canceled and booked independently, but they wouldnt refund us the money we had put down as a deposit when we originally booked!! classic!
