All The Right Grooves is an experienced DJ and entertainment service operating out of Charlotte, NC. These experts have a healthy habit of creating energetic atmospheres and packing dancefloors. They firmly believe that finding the perfect music for each event can make the experience unforgettable.
Independent owners, Jill Phillips and Bethany McDonald established the company in 2003. When the pair are not booked for weddings they perform regularly as nightclub DJs. In 2010 the business was selected as one of North Carolina’s best DJ and entertainment services.
Jill and Bethany offer personal consultations to all potential clients. They use these meetings to gauge music preferences and establish genuine connections. They understand that planning a wedding can sometimes be a demanding experience, and therefore focus their services on being seamless and stress-free. The company upholds in a simple ‘classy but fun’ attitude when it comes to their approach and attire.
All The Right Grooves offers a professional MC service. They will make sure that your wedding sticks to schedule while also making important announcements throughout the event. Jill and Bethany bring all of their own high-quality equipment, along with back-up gear. The pair facilitate the setup and cleanup service in their own time, and at no extra cost.
After a lifetime of music obsessions, we came together to start All The Right Grooves in the summer of 2003. In our first year of business, we did 11 weddings all throughout the state of North Carolina.
Now, in 2024 - we are averaging over 150 weddings annually (with just 2 DJs) and have performed over 2000 wedding receptions and ceremonies!
Bethany runs a non-profit in Charlotte on weekdays, and Jill manages the business and all administrative duties. The most important thing to know about us though - is that we LOVE what we do, and go above and beyond to deliver the perfect event!

Jill was an amazing DJ. She was friendly, timely and very accommodating towards our guest. She took serval videos while everyone was dancing, that she later sent us as well. Prices were affordable and we were super happy!!! 10/10 would recommend!

Jill was fantastic! Her mics for the ceremony worked great and all guests were able to hear us without any static or echoing. We sent her two playlists from Spotify of songs we wanted to hear and vibes we were going for, and she delivered! The best thing is that I made an MP3 of a specific version of a song only found of YouTube spliced with another song for our last dance, and she had no trouble playing my file and giving certain announcements at different timestamps. Highly recommend! She was such a joy to work with.

These two do a phenomenal job! They were dj's at my wedding and blew my guests away!! I have them a few dying selections, but what they used to fill in the gaps went with the vibe of my wedding and the people there. They were in tune with what we were feeling. Also, Jill? Jill with All the Right Grooves is INCREDIBLE- she is such a professional at what she does. My husband and I had to pivot or wedding plans from a wedding in Asheville, NC to a wedding in Lake Norman, NC, and only had about 2.5 weeks to do so, and she was so easy-going and reliable while we were going through everything. She was able to accommodate our plans with ease, and on the day of the wedding itself she was so incredibly professional. She set up all of her equipment on her own, and our ceremony space was not necessarily the easiest spot (we were all the way out on a dock by the lake!), and the entire ceremony went flawlessly. She made sure the entire evening ran smoothly, and we also got multiple compliments on her music choices! Your wedding will be in safe hands with All the Right Grooves!

All the right grooves was the DJ and MC for our wedding this past weekend. It was an all around great experience! They did such a great job with the music and announcements AND had people so hyped up during the dancing portion of the reception. Plus all of our interactions before the day were great ! 10/10 highly recommend! Would absolutely reccomend them to anyone.

We had Jill as our DJ and it could not have been any more perfect. Jill kept the dance floor full with amazing song choices that matched the vibe we wanted and she respected our do not play list! Although our wedding was on a Sunday, the dance floor stayed packed thanks to Jill. She was also very communicative throughout the whole wedding planning process. Jill was awesome. She was so receptive to my husband and I's super specific DO NOT PLAY (we are VERY PICKY about Top 40s) and PLEASE PLAY lists, to the point where she denied a CHILD at our wedding a Taylor Swift song request - some may shudder to read this, but my husband and I took this as a sign that this DJ was the absolute right choice, and so loyal to our wishes. If you are a couple that has a LONG do not play list, and you want a dancefloor that is absolutely BUMPIN, you have to go with ATRG. We were stunned and so happy with Jill's work, and everyone was going crazy with banger after banger. Absolutely worth the expense for a night people will be talking about for years to come. Sorry, kid, no Taylor Swift on the dancefloor banging the early 00's and 90's hits. The grown ups are dancing.

I could never applaud All the Right Grooves enough for the amazing job they did with our dj services at our April wedding! I was nervous when asking if they would be able to cater to such specific music requests that we had, and I spoke on the phone multiple times with Jill before our reception to get all of the details in place. I was met with nothing but excitement to play different wedding music than the traditional songs and line dances when I explained to Jill how important it was to incorporate some electronic music songs into the end of the night. Jill’s communication and Bethany’s energy on the day of the wedding far exceeded our expectations we had for our wedding dj! I had countless guests tell me during (and after) our wedding that the dj was absolutely amazing, and even with our eccentric electronic music taste she ensured to keep the party going for everyone!! From the moment of our grand entrance, to our final exit, Bethany was absolutely the best!!! I cannot thank Bethany enough for the excitement she brought to our special day, and without her it just would not have been such a PERFECT night. Thank you (times a million) to both Bethany and Jill!! We will definitely be getting back in touch with All the Right Grooves for any future event dj services we may need!

ATRG is the best in the business. We had some really specific requests across the board related to timing, the general feel of our reception, and music to avoid - and Bethany incorporated all of our input seamlessly. She was even able to trim the middle of our first dance song in a way that matched just what we needed.
When I say that ATRG will keep your dance floor packed, I truly mean it! We had wedding guests joke that there was no good time to hit the bar or bathroom because every single song that came on was too good. I don't think I left the dance floor all night. Cannot say enough good things about Bethany and ATRG!

Really good DJ. No issues, played the songs we requested for special moments.

Oh my gosh - the BEST DJ. I asked for mainly 2000's and 2010's top hits and we got them. The floor was packed, the lighting was great, and the emceeing was fantastic - no awkward moments where we didn't know what was happening or where to go. And they were so easy to communicate with leading up to our wedding. Can't recommend ATRG enough. :)

I used to work with Bethany at a wedding venue, and I knew when I was planning my wedding that we had to have her as our dj! Jill was great with timely and helpful communication throughout our wedding planning process, and Bethany is one of the best DJs I've come across (and I've been in the wedding business for over a decade). All the Right Grooves DJ’d my April 2023 wedding. They were perfect! They had several set up worksheets that made it easy to lay out all our details - my husband and I had a definite vision for all our entrance and special dance music, so this made it easy to communicate. We also knew we wanted a moment in the reception to do a 15 min or so pop punk mashup moment to get the crowd going - Bethany delivered this amazingly, many of our guests raved about it the day after! I 100% recommend Bethany and Jill for anyone’s event.

Jill was the best DJ! This company was so easy to deal with. We gave them a couple ideas for what we wanted and they rocked the house. We had older family members that said she did a great job of mixing the older songs with the newer ones. Jill made our night stress free and easy. I would highly recommend for any party or wedding. The cost is very good, they know what they are doing, and very professional. This is definitely a DJ you can hire and let them take the reins if you want too! They make it so easy.

There is no DJ that I would trust more for a wedding or event than Bethany from All The Right Grooves. As we planned the wedding we knew that the music and dancing were going to be the most important part of the night. Jill was the perfect DJ for our special day! We booked All The Right Grooves approximately 2 weeks before the wedding; from the conversation on the phone to worksheets with music suggestions for different sections of the ceremony - the process was stress free. Their pre-wedding survey contained the perfect amount of recommendations and questions to help us feel confident in all the DJ-related decisions, while also being so straight-forward that we filled the content out easily even with our limited time dedicated to wedding planning. We met with Bethany about a year before our wedding and loved the experience and approach she had. We found the worksheet provided very helpful. While we gave some loose guidance/requests on what we wanted played and not played, we trusted Bethany’s experience to provide our guests with a great night of music. I cannot say enough good things about Jill! The music was flawless and everything flowed together so well. The dance floor was always popping and we got so many compliments on the playlist. Jill from All The Right Grooves was amazing to work with for my wedding! Her and Bethany's prices are better than others in the area but what is even better is their service. They are very open minded when it comes to what your vision is and your requests. Their forms were easy to follow and helped us decide what we wanting for our reception. They were quick with communication and were always on the ball. Jill made our reception so much fun! Everyone was on the dance floor and had a blast. Jill told us she wanted everyone to have a great time, without making it about her, which she did perfectly. I felt she highlighted the night and made sure everything was tailored to what we wanted. Jill was amazing, and All The Right Grooves is very reasonably priced! My husband's name is hard to pronounce, and she took extra care to make sure that his name and all other wedding party names were pronounced perfectly. She also knew how to keep people dancing. BEST OPTION EVER!
Minutes before we were set to start the ceremony, THE VENUE POWER WENT OUT! Bethany was AMAZING. She took charge and found external power, moved all her equipment outside quickly, and set the stage for our ceremony and reception to continue despite the venue's issues. I don't know what would've happened without her saving our big day!!!
Additionally, all the music was so spot on. They make it so easy to make sure you've covered all the great moments with songs and are AMAZING to work with. So glad someone recommended them to me - now take our recommendation and look no further!!
