Independent owners, Jill Phillips and Bethany McDonald established the company in 2003. When the pair are not booked for weddings they perform regularly as nightclub DJs. In 2010 the business was selected as one of North Carolina’s best DJ and entertainment services.

There is no DJ that I would trust more for a wedding or event than Bethany from All The Right Grooves. As we planned the wedding we knew that the music and dancing were going to be the most important part of the night. Bethany took the stress right out of that with her quick communication and straightforward input. From the second she started playing the first song, all the way to our final song, the dance floor was packed. It was incredible to see numerous generations enjoying the music all night long. Stop what you are doing, look no further, this is the DJ team you want for your wedding!
Jill with All the Right Grooves is INCREDIBLE- she is such a professional at what she does. My husband and I had to pivot or wedding plans from a wedding in Asheville, NC to a wedding in Lake Norman, NC, and only had about 2.5 weeks to do so, and she was so easy-going and reliable while we were going through everything. She was able to accommodate our plans with ease, and on the day of the wedding itself she was so incredibly professional. She set up all of her equipment on her own, and our ceremony space was not necessarily the easiest spot (we were all the way out on a dock by the lake!), and the entire ceremony went flawlessly. She made sure the entire evening ran smoothly, and we also got multiple compliments on her music choices! Your wedding will be in safe hands with All the Right Grooves!
We just had my daughter’s wedding in Charlotte and All The Right Grooved did a great job. Bethany worked with my daughter on the playlist and timed everything perfectly. People were on the dance floor the entire night and the energy was incredible. Thank you for a great service!

All the right grooves was the DJ and MC for our wedding this past weekend. It was an all around great experience! They did such a great job with the music and announcements AND had people so hyped up during the dancing portion of the reception. Plus all of our interactions before the day were great ! 10/10 highly recommend! Would absolutely reccomend them to anyone.

We had Jill as our DJ and it could not have been any more perfect. Jill kept the dance floor full with amazing song choices that matched the vibe we wanted and she respected our do not play list! Although our wedding was on a Sunday, the dance floor stayed packed thanks to Jill. She was also very communicative throughout the whole wedding planning process. Jill was awesome. She was so receptive to my husband and I's super specific DO NOT PLAY (we are VERY PICKY about Top 40s) and PLEASE PLAY lists, to the point where she denied a CHILD at our wedding a Taylor Swift song request - some may shudder to read this, but my husband and I took this as a sign that this DJ was the absolute right choice, and so loyal to our wishes. If you are a couple that has a LONG do not play list, and you want a dancefloor that is absolutely BUMPIN, you have to go with ATRG. We were stunned and so happy with Jill's work, and everyone was going crazy with banger after banger. Absolutely worth the expense for a night people will be talking about for years to come. Sorry, kid, no Taylor Swift on the dancefloor banging the early 00's and 90's hits. The grown ups are dancing.
I could never applaud All the Right Grooves enough for the amazing job they did with our dj services at our April wedding! I was nervous when asking if they would be able to cater to such specific music requests that we had, and I spoke on the phone multiple times with Jill before our reception to get all of the details in place. I was met with nothing but excitement to play different wedding music than the traditional songs and line dances when I explained to Jill how important it was to incorporate some electronic music songs into the end of the night. Jill’s communication and Bethany’s energy on the day of the wedding far exceeded our expectations we had for our wedding dj! I had countless guests tell me during (and after) our wedding that the dj was absolutely amazing, and even with our eccentric electronic music taste she ensured to keep the party going for everyone!! From the moment of our grand entrance, to our final exit, Bethany was absolutely the best!!! I cannot thank Bethany enough for the excitement she brought to our special day, and without her it just would not have been such a PERFECT night. Thank you (times a million) to both Bethany and Jill!! We will definitely be getting back in touch with All the Right Grooves for any future event dj services we may need!
ATRG is the best in the business. We had some really specific requests across the board related to timing, the general feel of our reception, and music to avoid - and Bethany incorporated all of our input seamlessly. She was even able to trim the middle of our first dance song in a way that matched just what we needed.
When I say that ATRG will keep your dance floor packed, I truly mean it! We had wedding guests joke that there was no good time to hit the bar or bathroom because every single song that came on was too good. I don't think I left the dance floor all night. Cannot say enough good things about Bethany and ATRG!

Oh my gosh - the BEST DJ. I asked for mainly 2000's and 2010's top hits and we got them. The floor was packed, the lighting was great, and the emceeing was fantastic - no awkward moments where we didn't know what was happening or where to go. And they were so easy to communicate with leading up to our wedding. Can't recommend ATRG enough. :)
I used to work with Bethany at a wedding venue, and I knew when I was planning my wedding that we had to have her as our dj! Jill was great with timely and helpful communication throughout our wedding planning process, and Bethany is one of the best DJs I've come across (and I've been in the wedding business for over a decade). She does a great job at reading the crowd, mixing songs, thoughtful transitions into different energy levels of the music, and a fun personality to have around at your wedding.
I feel like Bethany and I are old friends after the weekend. She was AMAZING! She literally was the vibe of the night! Bethany was fun, enthusiastic, and professional. All the Right Grooves DJ’d my April 2023 wedding. They were perfect! They had several set up worksheets that made it easy to lay out all our details - my husband and I had a definite vision for all our entrance and special dance music, so this made it easy to communicate. We also knew we wanted a moment in the reception to do a 15 min or so pop punk mashup moment to get the crowd going - Bethany delivered this amazingly, many of our guests raved about it the day after! I 100% recommend Bethany and Jill for anyone’s event.
Jill was the best DJ! This company was so easy to deal with. We gave them a couple ideas for what we wanted and they rocked the house. We had older family members that said she did a great job of mixing the older songs with the newer ones. Jill made our night stress free and easy. I would highly recommend for any party or wedding. The cost is very good, they know what they are doing, and very professional. This is definitely a DJ you can hire and let them take the reins if you want too! They make it so easy.

Their pre-wedding survey contained the perfect amount of recommendations and questions to help us feel confident in all the DJ-related decisions, while also being so straight-forward that we filled the content out easily even with our limited time dedicated to wedding planning. Then on our big day, Bethany was so fun to be around and took care of everything! We gave limited direction on the songs to be played during the reception, and our trust in ATRG payed off! While we gave some loose guidance/requests on what we wanted played and not played, we trusted Bethany’s experience to provide our guests with a great night of music. She played a great variety of songs, making sure there was something for guests of all ages. Minutes before we were set to start the ceremony, THE VENUE POWER WENT OUT! Bethany was AMAZING. She took charge and found external power, moved all her equipment outside quickly, and set the stage for our ceremony and reception to continue despite the venue's issues. I don't know what would've happened without her saving our big day!!!
Additionally, all the music was so spot on. They make it so easy to make sure you've covered all the great moments with songs and are AMAZING to work with. So glad someone recommended them to me - now take our recommendation and look no further!!

I’ve worked with Bethany and Jill for a long time during corporate events so it was my obvious first choice for my wedding day! They are SO easy to work with and Bethany truly knows how to keep the crowd going. She’s fantastic at reading a room and picking up on the vibe of the crowd to change the music if needed. I had so many compliments on how awesome my DJ was and how I knew how to throw a good party (which I attribute to Bethany’s awesome dj skills) She also was great at managing the events throughout the night so I never had to worry about cake cutting, speeches, dances etc. She handled the schedule of all of that so that I could just enjoy my guests. She’s truly such a gem in the DJ world and I highly highly recommend them for any event!!

Jill nailed every part of our wedding: the pre-ceremony music, the ceremony itself, cocktail hour, and ESPECIALLY the reception. Jill read the vibe of the crowd and responded perfectly -- she picked up on what got people dancing and she mixed genres in a way that kept a steady crowd out there. Choosing All The Right Grooves for our wedding was the best decision! Picking music was not something I was looking forward to as I don’t have strong opinions there , but they were able to provide so many suggestions and talked with us to help us make a decision. When I was scrolling reviews and looking for a DJ, it was so hard to envision my wedding DJ because I couldn't see or hear them in a review. I'll paint a picture of my experience here for you so you can invision the best DJs ever: in the months and weeks leading up to your wedding, Jill (one of the DJs) sends you the most encouraging and helpful emails. She even lets you change and alter your playlist days before. You walk into your reception and Bethany (the other DJ) proudly announces you playing all the songs you love. It's time for the couple's dance and she knows you don't want to dance for too long. You give her a wink and she knows just when to wrap it up! Then , throughout the night she reads the room and responds with perfect songs for each moment all the way until you're walking out the door to the get away car! THANK YOU BETHANY AND JILL!! I cannot recommend them more!

Amazing! Booked them for our wedding which was postponed until 2021 but last minute decided to have a small ceremony this year as well and they totally delivered even with everything being last minute! Everything was perfect and it was a huge help to have a professional there to make everything flow. Can’t wait to dance all night again next year for wedding number 2!!!

We were connected with All the Right Grooves through our venue as they are our venue’s preferred DJ service. We loved that the worksheets we were given and that they were willing to work with our unique ideas for a timeline that were different from their suggested timeline set up. The music they played was awesome and right along the categories we had checked on their worksheets. We’ve had so many compliments from friends and family about what a wonderful time they had at our reception and how great the music and vibes were!

This business is absolutely the best. I searched for several weeks to find the right pick for our wedding and hands down I’m so excited I found All The Right Grooves. From the very beginning they were respectful, inviting, and informative! On the day of the DJ was amazing and did such a good job! Finding the right DJ was one of the most important things in our wedding search. We had gone with the DJ from our venue and then, after booking, the DJ changed to All the Right Grooves. We were really nervous - we'd heard the other DJ before but All the Right Grooves was an unknown. Well, all our nerves were put to ease when we met with Bethany. Immediately we knew that she understood the vibe we were looking for and would be able to execute our vision. And execute she did. Several friends have commented on how great the DJ was. One of my favorite wedding moments was actually DJ related. Our guests were half Yankees fans (groom included), and half Red Sox fans (bride included). Bethany played Sweet Caroline which made my grandpa light up; but also sent one friend flying to the DJ to request New York New York for the Yankees fans. Bethany remembered that the groom was wearing a Yankees shirt when we met and the next song up was New York, New York. I loved that moment in particular. A weird side note, but an important one, my sisters and I have unique names. Often our names are mispronounced. Bethany got them all right. It's details like that that really make the difference (they should be givens - but anyone with strange names knows they're not!).
Jill was amazing! I got so many compliments in the weeks following my wedding. She was awesome in her music choices and listened to what we wanted as well. Everyone was dancing the whole night!

Jill was my DJ for my wedding and did a phenomenal job! She took care of everything I needed and made sure it was everything I wanted. She made sure to play the right jams to keep people on the dance floor. Her pricing is definitely reasonable and was well worth every penny! I couldn't have asked for a better DJ service.

Bethany was our DJ and from our initial meeting with her, we knew we were in good hands. We had some last minute changes to our reception songs and she was very accommodating. They provided a reception planning worksheet which was very helpful in choosing our songs. We got married in the middle of Hurricane Florence and even though she had to travel from Charlotte to Winston-Salem, Bethany gave no indication that she would ever cancel on us. She was there hours early for setup and enthusiastic about our wedding. My husband expected to be going up to the booth multiple times to request songs but he never did because the flow was so great and she kept everyone on the dance floor! Jill handled all the communication and was very quick with responses and information - All the Right Grooves was by far the easiest vendor to communicate with because Jill was so timely with responses. Hire these ladies immediately!
We worked with Bethany, who did an amazing job doing everything! The songs were exactly what we were looking for, and she did a great job with MCing.
My guests have not stopped talking about how fun the wedding reception was. EVERYONE was dancing because of how great the DJ was. When I say everyone, I mean grandparents, children, and people who I would have never thought would get up and dance. The party never died down! We also did a family dance performance and the DJ helped smoothly transition into the dance.
Bethany did a fantastic job at our wedding! I love to dance, so when a friend (raved!!!)recommended ATRG, I didn't even look elsewhere. The dance floor was packed the WHOLE night and everyone had a great time. We have had so many guests over the past 2 months say that was the most fun they have ever had at a wedding! It was also hard as the bride trying to make rounds to say hello and thank you to everyone and hear song after song that I loved come on (needless to say, I didn't end up saying hi to everyone, I danced the whole night!).

This was the DJ company that automatically came with our wedding venue. They did a wonderful job and the actual DJ the day of our wedding was a lot of fun. We gave the DJ a list of must play songs prior to the day of the wedding and it was a great success!
I loved Jill and I thought she was perfect win all the DJ-related items for our wedding. She played from the playlist I made, but also seemed to really love the music and played them in a perfect sequence. I actually think I got more comments on the music than on the cake and the cake was good, too! I even found myself wanting to jam out a few times!

Jill was so easy to communicate with during the planning process and Bethany did a fantastic job with the music for our ceremony and reception. All our guests loved the selection of dance songs. Bethany did a great job finding music that everyone could get excited about. The worksheets they provided us during our first meeting were very helpful during our planning process and we felt like Bethany was reading our minds as she subtly coordinated the flow of the evening. They truly wanted us to have the best day possible. Unbeknownst to us, Bethany even ran out before things got started to buy cases of water for our reception! Jill was absolutely amazing to work with and truly exceeded our dreams of a DJ at our wedding!! From the moment we met, she was quick to respond and answer any questions we had! We had chosen a song to play during our wedding ceremony and Jill did everything she could to find the song we wanted, which meant so much to us!!! Our wedding day was rainy, and we wanted to get married outside. Jill waited until we decided last minute to have the ceremony outside, despite the rain, and set up and did a beautiful job!! During the cocktail hour she played music that was perfect which led into the reception. She sure did keep the party going and we didn't leave the dance floor once!! She played all of the songs we requested! I would recommend All the Right Grooves to anyone! Jill played a special part in making our day perfect!!! We can't say thank you enough!!
Our DJ was awesome. She kept the party going - she had great timing - and she played everything we asked and avoided playing anything we asked her not to play.
She also was really helpful in our pre-event meeting. She had great suguestions and just made the whole event better by helping MC a number of important events within the wedding.

I can't say enough good things! Jill was an absolute professional and made our reception flow so well, including all of the songs and elements that we had requested. It made for a truly magical evening. We are so happy that we chose this company and that they were available for our wedding. I would highly recommend!

Jill was absolutely amazing as the DJ for our wedding! She not only did a wonderful job selecting the best songs to play at the reception, but she also went above and beyond to help make sure everything ran as smoothly as possible throughout the entire day. She was consistently on her feet helping in any way that she could, even helping clean up the tables as the night went on. She also communicated with me throughout the entire night to make sure everything was going as I desired. I couldn't have asked for anything more!

They were great! When the dance floor started to dwindle in numbers, our DJ knew what to play to get people out dancing! Very professional and they had three different set-ups (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception). When I asked to end about 10 minutes early they immediately went to play the last song I requested. I would definitely recommend!
Bethany was fantastic! She really our reception a party from beginning to end. The music was great and everyone of our guest told us how much fun they had.
Here's the deal: Stop shopping around and book this DJ. Jill is simply amazing and will stop at nothing to make your wedding ceremony and reception music absolutely awesome. Jill helped us pull off a unique "kiss" moment during our ceremony and she coordinated with our venue and our officiant a week before when I presented the idea. It wasn't easy given the space layout, distance from the ceremony site to the DJ stand and the need for basically perfectly timing. I worried my goal was too ambitious but Jill is an absolute pro. She's caring, helpful, knowledgeable and a genuinely nice person. This is the kind of DJ you need at your wedding. Anyone can plug in and play. A truly wonderful vendor goes above and beyond -- that's exactly what you'll get with Jill. Great music selection, used our Spotify list and Jill played three special cuts we provided to her for specific moments and dances. She kept things flowing and all our guests enjoyed themselves. We want to have another party and hire All the Right Grooves :) Their rates are extremely reasonable. Jill arrived early to set up and helped us rock and roll even with pouring rain. Our reception timeline shifted as the night went on and it was very reassuring to know Jill was in the driver's seat. Thank you thank you thank you! Highly recommended y'all.
Bethany was so so great for our wedding reception! She was communicating with me all night which was so nice as we were having some struggles with our venue coordinators and caterers. She kept things moving and was on the ball.

I could not rate this service more highly. Jill was responsive, helpful, let me pay on a monthly basis, and gave us a lot of information regarding things to do on the big day! She got everyone out on the dance floor, made sure she pronounced everyone's names right, double checked with me before doing anything (we ended up switching the schedule around, but it worked out for the best), and we even have pictures of her tearing up during mine and my husbands toasts to each other.
