Alla Breve Guitar & Flute Duo

Kristine and Steve were excellent to work with. They were very accommodating when we needed to reschedule due to COVID, they worked with our DJ to streamline the sound system used at the Ceremony location, and they were able to put together beautiful renditions of two songs we requested - "Red is the Rose", and "Wild Mountain Thyme" - the final sound was exactly what we were looking for, very true to their Soundcloud recordings, and really helped make our ceremony feel special. Would highly recommend!

Alla Breve Flute & Guitar Duo played at our son's garden wedding ceremony and cocktail hour in Marblehead, Mass. We loved their selection of classical, popular and Celtic music, and they played each song beautifully. They communicated with us well before the ceremony, helped us plan our selections and were prompt and professional on the big day. We wholeheartedly recommend Alla Breve. They are wonderful!

The couple went above and beyond by learning a custom song for us and playing beautifully during the wedding and cocktail hour! I wish that I had the chance to speak to them more in person and to hear the music but my guests had great feedback!

The music for my ceremony and cocktail hour was beautiful, however Kristine called my mother a half hour before my ceremony telling her that they were not going to make it because of traffic, however these musicians have been to my venue numerous times and came highly recommended by my venue. I thought that since they had been there many times before, as professionals they would know what time they would need to leave in order to make it to a wedding on time. They did end up making it on time, however the stress caused on my wedding day was unnecessary. The DJ was starting to set up outside to play music for the ceremony ( thankfully he was early to set up for the reception). Overall, the live music was great and we did enjoy it and we were glad they were able to make it on time.

Alla Breve performed during our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. They truly did a wonderful job! The music made the ceremony that much more special, and peronal feeling. I am so grateful they were able to perform each of the songs I requested, amazing! My only regret is that my husband and I missed listening to them perform during cocktail hour since we were taking photos!!!!

Kristine and Steven are a beautiful guitar and flute duo that play a variety of music, ranging from classical to jazz to modern. I was thrilled to learn they play additional songs to what is listed on their repertoire song list. Responses to all emails were quick and informative, and Kristine provided a few recommendations when I was struggling to decide on a recessional piece. Alla Breve added the perfect sound to our ceremony, and were very easy to work with! Their repertoire is impressive, and their performance demos on Soundcloud very helpful for sorting through possibilities. Kristine was charming and responsive in all our correspondence, and they were perfectly happy to find the sheet music for the one song request we had. The flute & guitar duet was phenomenal, ethereal and lovely! Many guests remarked on how delightful the music was, and how personal it made the whole event feel. If they had an album available, I would absolutely buy it to bring back memories of the day.

The Alla Breve Duo provided ceremony music for my August wedding in Beverly, MA. I had not originally budgeted for live ceremony music, but at some point throughout the planning, I realized I had my heart set on live music and knew it would be add a special touch. I contacted numerous musicians and ultimately chose the Alla Breve Duo. After emailing with Kristine and reading reviews, it was clear they had a lot of experience and I felt confident they would deliver exactly what I was looking for at an exceptional value. I emailed back and forth with Kristine many times over roughly a six month period. She was incredibly professional and responsive and patient with my many questions. I also talked to her on the phone a week or two before the wedding to go over everything - she provided a few helpful suggestions at that time. Kristine and Steven have many musical selections for you to chose from and they are willing to learn other pieces of music that they haven't previously played for a very reasonable fee. Alla Breve Duo helped make our wedding day perfect. They have a large repertoire with a varied array of musical genres - classical, jazz, traditional, standards, and lots of The Beatles! Their arrangement of flute and guitar gives the music even more of an intimate and romantic feel, which fit in nicely with our wedding venue (Barn at Gibbet Hill in Groton, MA). They were easy to contact, very reasonable priced, and we would highly recommend to anyone with upcoming nuptials

We used the Alla Breve guitar and flute duo for our September wedding at the UMass Club in Boston. We worked with Siagel Productions who contracted them for us. Therefore, we actually did not have any contact with them before the wedding and Siagel did all the coordinating. I was a little worried about doing it this way, because I like to get a feel for the people I'm working with, but they did an absolutely excellent job. They played during our ceremony and cocktail hour and I had requested modern/contemporary music, which they played flawlessly. It brought an elegant and classy style to our event. I came down the aisle to "Blackbird" by the Beatles and the sound of the first few notes brought me to tears. They even played a song that we asked them to learn (Best Day of My Life by Bright Eyes) for our processional, and a few of our guests recognized it and thought that was really fun. They conducted themselves so flawlessly and professionally that we didn't even see them come and go. Which was unfortunate because I didn't get a chance to thank them in person! I would highly recommend them for your event if you want to add elegance with your music choice!

Great duo! Easy to work with and high quality music. It was quite affordable and much nicer than using recorded music. I used "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" for my wedding party processional, then "Canon in D" by Pachelbel when I walked down the aisle. As a recessional I used "Alla Danza" from Water Music by Handel. They also played for my cocktail hour, which unfortunately I didn't get to hear because I was away taking pictures, but I'm sure they were great! I feel quite lucky to have gotten them to play for my wedding, and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Steven and Kristine were great to work with and sounded amazing. They have a great repertoire of music in a number of styles and they were very willing to find and perform the additional music we wanted for our ceremony and during the cocktail hour. My fiancé wanted us to walk out to the theme song from Rocky, and I was surprised with how great a flute and guitar could make that song sound; they clearly took the time to practice it for us. I highly recommend this team; they helped to make our day perfect.

I booked Alla Breve less than 2 months before our wedding and it was seamless. I didn't want traditional churchy music, so they played more romantic and classic *not classical* music like Sinatra. My only request was that I walk down the aisle to Somewhere over the Rainbow which they did fabulously. I actually never even met them because I only had them for my ceremony, but my guests said they were very professional and it was a very elegant touch!

We opted for this duo over a popular, New Hampshire based guitar & flute duo after comparing both demo cd's. We were not disappointment!

I dealt with Kristine from Alla Breve Guitar and Flute Duo. She was very organized and professional which made her the easiest vendor to work with during my wedding planning. They did everything perfect! Their price was very reasonable compared to others so I was very happy in the end. They give you a free demo CD before signing a contract which was great so I could pick out the music knowing what it would sound like.

We contracted with them and had email contact up until 2 days before the wedding. Unfortunately they didn't show up for my wedding ceremony. After repeated attempts to contact them, they called us a couple days later and were horrified that they didn't show. Said there was a calendar screw up and sent us our money back. They have also given us a certificate to play another time for free.

Beautiful music, and less expensive than a quartet. I found this slightly nontraditional choice perfect for my wedding.

Music selection was great..They also allowed my friend to use their amplifier to sing for us..;I asked for an extra microphone for the reverend and they brought it but it was not long enough to get to the bridge...They had told me originally they had brought it before at the venue
