This group was absolutely amazing to have at our wedding. They learned a completely new Bollywood song they had never heard before and absolutely nailed it. One of the highlights of the ceremony! On top of the beautiful music, they were a pleasure to work with from the very first phone call. Cannot recommend them enough!

We had done ample research with other vendors and Michael's musical passion, eagerness to respond, and warmth surrounding the importance of our day made it an easy choice to move forward. Allegro Chamber Players made my wedding a hit. I was so surprised with how many guest contacted us after the wedding to say cocktail hour was there favorite part of the day. Mike was able to mix in some of my favorite pop/r&b songs with a nice mix of classical music. From the first day we connected Mike was attentive willing to educate and offer recommendations. He and his team are truly talented. If you're thinking of booking them, do it!! You won't regret it.

Allegro Chamber Players played our wedding and cocktail hour. Michael Monte went so far above and beyond for us, it made everything so magical. The team worked with us with a unique song to walk down the isle to. They sent us a demo CD for us to review and sample. Michael even helped wrangle all of the wedding party they day of to ensure everyone marched with the music! Without this team our day would have been so much less than it was. They are professional, highly communicative, respectful wonderful people and excellent musicians to top it off. We completely recommend and if for some reason you are on the fence, don't worry. They were very easy to deal with and provided excellent music for our daughters wedding.

The musicians played beautifully for my wedding. All of the guests loved them. They worked with me and my husband to make sure we had our song selections for the parents to walk down to, the bridal party to walk down to, and for me and my dad to work down to. They had a very large selection of songs that we could choose from and they even did one additional song for us that wasn’t on their song list for our exit song. Overall they did a great job!

Michael Monte is a personable, affable, likeable man. And that’s just where it starts. In June of 2021, my fiancé and I began to assemble what indeed became a dream team of vendors for our May, 2023 wedding on Aquidneck Island. One of the first calls we made was to Michael Monte of Allegro Chamber Players. He had worked my parents’ 50th Anniversary in 2002, where he made an impression to be remembered for its class, fineness, and affordability. Relatives who attended that event two decades ago were excited to learn that ACP would be here once again to provide the perfect musical context for our own ceremony. And perfect it was. Thirty minutes beforehand, our guests began arriving as Michael’s professional and gifted musicians performed lovely selections that we had chosen mindfully on our own and also from ACP’s endless repertoire. Under sunny blue skies and ideal temperatures, ACP charmed an already dignified atmosphere on the banks of the Sakonnet River into a musical picture of grace and elegance befitting the celebration. The Allegro Chamber Players performed at the cocktail hour of our wedding on 11/04/22 in Newport, RI. They were an absolute pleasure to work with, and their performance was beautiful! We hired Allegro Chamber Players for our wedding in Newport, RI and couldn't have been happier! They are true professionals and incredibly reliable. Michael was great at communicating with us through the entire process and he and his team arrived on time and did a great job during their performance! I wanted to walk down the aisle to "Crazy in Love" by Beyonce which is certainly a unique bridal song, and Michael went above and beyond to make it happen! He composed it himself and the group did an amazing performance, all the guests loved it and it came out so well! I liked that they were happy to help us do something a little different! The recessional was "All you need is love" by the Beatles and it was just beautiful. We also had them play our cocktail hour and the music was so fun and great. They really made our ceremony special and we are forever grateful!

We found ACP through a third-party booking website, by submitting an inquiry. At the time, I didn’t know it, but my church required that we use their string group instead. Michael from ACP called me in response to my inquiry, and I was so impressed by our detailed phone conversation that I was saddened to report to him that we weren’t allowed to book him. After a situation arose that allowed us to ultimately book an external vendor, I called Michael back immediately and was so excited they were still free! We hired them for both our ceremony and cocktail hour. Michael was so great to coordinate with for the ceremony because he himself is a Catholic, so he knew each part of the mass by heart and had great experience with which songs to play when during the mass. When we’d talk on the phone, we’d have such lovely conversations about the beautiful pieces they were going to play. We decided to also book them to play some more contemporary pieces during our cocktail hour, and they even arranged a song for us that they hadn’t played in the past. We got so many compliments from our guests about their talent and professionalism, and we were so happy we hired them! Thank you ACP!

We are so happy we selected Allegro Chamber Players for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Michael is a true professional through and through and knew exactly what questions to ask and what suggestions to make. Allegro Chamber Players have literally done over 900 events (probably more now!) but were still flexible enough to accommodate what we were looking for. They were able to bring their instruments out to a remote beach for our ceremony and then transport them back to the back yard for our cocktail hour. They came highly recommended, and we loved that they specialized in Catholic ceremonies as we were married at OLP chapel on-site. Michael was our point person. He is extremely through and detailed, and as a very organized person myself, I very much appreciated this. He helped us select the perfect musical accompaniments to our liturgy. At cocktail hour, we asked that more modern pieces be played for our guests, and everyone loved recognizing all their favorite songs. These musicians are experienced, talented, and professional. They were a beautiful and timeless additional to our day. I would be happy to recommend their services to anyone!

Allegro Chamber Players played for a half hour before our ceremony and for our ceremony and did a beautiful job. Their music set the tone for our entire wedding and was exactly what we wanted. Michael not only worked with us on song selection and had good insight on what would work well in our outdoor location with a strong chance of wind issues, but ACP also arranged a version of 10,000 Hours by Dan & Shay that I walked down the aisle to. It was really special to have a unique song learned just for us for that big moment. Michael is also very easy to work with and clearly loves what he does.

They played for both the ceremony and cocktail hour with a mix of classical music with some contemporary pieces mixed in. Working with Michael leading up to the date was a pleasure! Michael was very professional and organized the music perfectly, and his group was flawless. My guests loved their music, and my Maid of Honor is even booking them for her wedding next year! I hired Allegro Chamber Players and found Mike to be very professional and helpful leading to my wedding. Unfortunately, there were a few issues with ACP: 1. The person I had been chatting with did not show up, and I was not told he would not be showing up. I was in contact with them in days leading up to the wedding, so I am not sure why he chose not to mention he would be sending a sub. I understand they reserve this right in the contract, but some notification would have been the respectable thing to do. 2. They did not set up close to the actual ceremony, which was outdoors, so the music was very faint for our guests and myself. I had explained in detail to ACP where they were to set up, but they did not set up at that location. ACP stated that the venue manager has final say as to where they set up - I understand this, but if that's the case ACP should have told me so that I could discuss with the venue manager immediately. They did not. 3. ACP asked for an ordered song request list, and offered to learn a couple of songs for us. The order of the songs was not followed at all, and I never heard one of the two songs they said they would learn for my wedding. 4. I politely contacted ACP a few months after my wedding to relay the feedback in a professional manner, but did not hear back. I then sent the same message to another email I had for ACP, but got no reply. As soon as I posted a review here very recently, ACP responded within days and found a way to get my review deleted stating that the wedding date was incorrect. What kind of group actively tries to get reviews deleted?

Allegro Chambers played at our wedding at the Aldrich Mansion this past summer, and they did a beautiful job! Working with Michael leading up to the wedding was incredibly easy. We have received so many compliments on our ceremony music, it was exactly what we wanted. We are so happy that we found this vendor!

We could not be happier that we hired Allegro Chamber Players for our wedding ceremony. They sounded absolutely beautiful!!! They were kind and accommodating from the beginning, especially because we wanted different genres to be played (reggae to Disney). Walking down the aisle to "When You Wish Upon A Star" has always been my dream, and they made me feel like I was walking into a fairytale when I heard that coming down the aisle. We chose Allegro Chamber Players for our Catholic wedding at Aldrich Mansion because they had experience with the traditional music, as well as the venue. They were very accommodating during the planning process and I never had an issue getting in touch with them. On the day of the wedding, they did a beautiful job and did was everything we had wanted! We had the vocalist and trumpet player as well as the trio, and would highly recommend the whole group!
