ing audio equipment, introducing the couple, making announcements, and of course playing music. It took a bit of faith to select Allegro Entertainment, because we did not know who the DJ would be. But we selected Allegro Entertainment based on an in person interview with the owner Dori Abell, who explained how she would ensure a successful event. Dori provided a website with helpful information, and scheduled meetings to create a song list and schedule. She wisely had a final review just a few days before, and they made some good changes to their approach. For example, they decided to allow guests to request songs. This gave the guests a bit of ownership of the event. When a guest picked a song, that guest also got a lot of people out to dance to the song, making the celebration more successful. For the event itself, I was surprised to see Dori herself arrive, along with Mike the MC. The event had shifted from outdoors to indoors, due to weather and they smoothly rolled with the change. For the wedding ceremony, Dori organized the processional so that our timing was right. For the reception, Mike worked easily with us. He made sure the mics worked, and followed our lead on when to start the dancing, etc. A lot of things can go wrong with a wedding, but Allegro Entertainment was a significant part of a successful wedding. We were happy with Allegro Entertainment!

f questions along the way, but they were equally as forthcoming with information. I never felt lost in the planning process, or like I was unsure what our next steps were. A lot of wedding service planning packets can be kind of vague or leave you confused about what information to put down, but Allegro's planning packet is so simple and straightforward; it takes a lot of the pressure off, and makes the planning process feel easy and manageable! I also HAVE to emphasize how patient and caring Dori and her staff were as I had to cancel my wedding date in 2021, and reschedule for 2022. I know so many COVID brides who were completely ghosted or put out by their wedding vendors during the pandemic, but Allegro was incredibly compassionate and accommodating, despite the fact that I'm sure the pandemic was hard on them as well. Our reception was absolutely perfect! Jason and his assistant were a dream team, and never left me wondering what we were supposed to do the day of! Their announcement timing for different events throughout the night was perfect. They blended a great amount of party music to keep the guests dancing all night long with my and my husband's favorite songs flawlessly. Due to some last minute antics on the part of the reception venue at the end of the of the night, my husband and I had to miss our last dance, but when my husband asked if they could replay the song, they were happy to do so, which was extremely kind considering the long night of work they'd already done. I absolutely made sure to leave a tip! Seriously, if you're still thinking about who you should go with for your celebration, just pick Allegro! I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Thank you Allegro! You made planning my wedding reception a joy!

ue, she had advice and answered all of our silly questions. She met with us several times and even came early the morning of the wedding to make sure everything was set up perfectly. DJ JAMES was awesome! He called me several days before our wedding to make sure everything was squared away and asked if we had any questions. He even arrived early to set up and was in cahoots with our coordinator, photographer and family members all night to ensure a smooth run of our reception. Our guests loved his music choices and he was very open to requests by our guests. He kept the party going all night long! They are fun to work with, very accessible to contact, and clear with their plans and documents. I can't recommend them enough!

She is always quick to return an email or phone call, and her organizational skills keep every event on-point from beginning to end. One of my favorite qualities about Dori, is her warmth and care when meeting with our brides. It's a wonderful blessing to get to work with another professional who is upbeat and positive, exuding passion for their work. I am very confident and grateful to be able to recommend her to our brides for their big day!

DJ Martin a few days before the wedding and wow he made me feel like nothing could go wrong! He was so perfect and energetic! Everyone said how amazing the DJ was and how they couldn’t stop dancing. I definitely recommend them and will use them again if we ever need a DJ for an event!

to leave five stars was our DJ started our first dance while we were still sitting down so we missed about 20 seconds of choreography. We were in dance classes for 18 months so not getting to do our whole dance was a little bit of a bummer. But everyone loved it regardless. I highly recommend Allegro! The communication was amazing and the quality of service was outstanding!

The packet is very detailed and they even send song recommendations! We love being on the dance floor so we wanted a DJ that would really entertain our guests. Isaac was the perfect DJ for us. He played songs from our list, took requests from the guests, and interacted with them all night. If you’re looking for a night filled with dancing look no further!

o come recommended by our venue, and we were sold. After meeting with Dori I felt 100% comfortable. A week before the wedding our DJ Eric contacted me to talk and make sure he had the schedule right which I absolutely loved. I could tell he was going to be perfect just from that first call. The day of the wedding Eric was great about making sure to remind us of our timeline, but also being lenient and going with the flow when things inevitably got a little behind. He played all of the songs on our requested list but also took requests straight from the floor and played great choices of his own throughout the night. One thing Eric did that I thought really went above and beyond was hunt down my dad who was outside smoking cigars because his song request was about to come on. Super sweet of him and my dad was very grateful. Overall I couldn’t recommend Allegro Entertainment more. They’re incredibly professional and are worth every cent spent with them. If you want the best, then they’re it.

l July. We were able to book Allegro at an unbeatable price! Dori responded quickly throughout the entire process and was so friendly. A week before our wedding, our pianist let us know he could no longer play during our ceremony. After a quick email to Dori, we had all of our ceremony planned with Allegro! We were so relieved we were able to add our ceremony on to our package with just a week's notice. At the wedding, DJ Eric did a great job with the timeline and worked seamlessly with our venue and photographer. He was so friendly and definitely impressed our guests! I can't imagine a better experience!

or not Eric was aware, but our wedding coordinator provided to us by Defiance Ridge was not able to make it to the wedding. I was terrified, but with Eric’s help, he kept us on track to leave the venue at the time we had planned. We had about an hour left and he somehow seamlessly got the first dance, father daughter, mother son, bouquet toss and garter toss done in time. We really appreciated our phone meetings with the owner, Dory, they were super helpful. Without having a wedding coordinator, I was incredibly grateful to receive a clear outline of events from Dory. I'm a planner, so it was awesome to have you go through things step by step. Thank you for everything!

ss for DJs is one of the most efficient processes I've ever used. The team would respond within minutes of my emails with detailed and clear information. They use a planning packet, which we filled out and returned, and then we iterated with them, sending the agenda back and forth until we had every piece just perfect. We had one Skype call with one of the team members, which was really productive. They were flexible with us on timing, song selection, and the entire planning process since we were planning this wedding from 200 miles away. Four days before the wedding, we got a call from the actual DJ assigned to our wedding, and he had clearly read and understood the agenda and was flexible with last minute changes. Fast forward to the day of the wedding, and the DJ was just amazing. He made a point of introducing himself to all relevant parties. He arrived on time and professionally dressed. He played the songs we asked him to play when we asked him to play them. All songs for the ceremony were perfect in volume, length, etc. At the reception, our wedding was mostly an older crowd on a Sunday afternoon without much alcohol, and he managed to get them all dancing. We had a ton of fun dancing at our wedding and some of the best moments are due to the wonderful music that he supplied. The DJ also worked well with the other vendors and day of coordinator and kept the appropriate pace for the wedding: not too slow, but not rushing. Lastly, the DJ knew to check for the photographers before starting significant events like toasts, cake cutting, etc. We would never have thought of that, but he did and it was really thoughtful and awesome.

r DJ services because, frankly, they were the most affordable and with the best reviews. They're very much a streamlined business - you talk with the head lady, she gets your details, and then assigns you to a DJ two weeks before your wedding. You have one call with your DJ 2 days before your wedding to go over the timeline and any issues you may have. Our DJ was a nice guy and was really into the kind of music we wanted played (oldies). The only real issue was a lack of communication between him and our photographer for a couple of important moments - and I'm not sure who to blame for it, honestly - but the photographer was unaware of our entrance and our exit as they were being announced at both the beginning and end of the night. The DJ apologized and they went back and "staged" entrance photos of our bridal party, but it was a little sad that we missed out on those - and we didn't bother staging our exit photo again. We also asked if it was possible that he play an engagement video of us on the reception venue's overhead projector before he announced our entrance, but apparently Allegro doesn't permit any of their DJs to play any videos from their computers - either on DVD or hyperlinked in an internet browser.... so we missed out on doing that, too. Overall, the DJ did a good job, though, and I'd recommend him if you're in the market for DJ services. He played the exact type of music we wanted, and a lot of folks complimented us on his personality and how fun he was doing announcements and making jokes throughout the night. Allegro was an affordable option that did a good job for our wedding, and we were happy at the end of the night with the services they provided to us. I recommend them if you're in the market for an affordable DJ in mid-MO.

Even with little communication it still went effortless. He just went on the fly and it was perfect. He stayed on schedule and kept the flow of my reception moving. I couldn’t be happy with Eric as my DJ. Thank you for being so easy and making it go so well with how little we spoke but I couldn’t appreciate your service more! He is someone I highly recommend thank you for everything!

They were great at being the source of most of our planning of those things that we would have never thought of, such as what songs would be playing during the reception line, etc. They were very helpful into the months leading up the wedding, and were always very quick and detailed in any answers to questions that we had. A few days prior to the wedding, we received a call from our actual DJ, Pierre, in order to meet him on the phone and tie up any loose ends. We were overly excited after our phone call with anticipation, since he seemed so great on the phone. Pierre was one of the best DJs of any event that I have ever been at, and I had multiple guests at my wedding actually come up and say that they thought the DJ that we hired was awesome. He was more than accommodating to any requests that my bride and I had for the wedding. We asked him to play specific songs, stay away from other songs, but also was vague in our direction of “Just keep people dancing and on the floor”. He was able to meet every one of our requests. We had an adult-only wedding, so I was a little concerned with how packed the dance floor would be, but he was able to keep more people on it than I would have ever imagined. He was great at talking to the crowd, and wasn’t one of the DJs who talked after every song or not at all, which was perfect. Our wedding ended at 11 at night, which I thought would be completely empty at that point, but we had people dancing all the way through our last song of the night. We could not have been more pleased with Allegro Entertainment and Pierre. They exceeded every one of our expectiations. They were very professional and also made sure that the fun was maximized throughout the night. We are very appreciative of all of the hard work they put in towards making our day as special as it was.
