We believe in creating honest portraits of good people, forward thinking and experimentation in our craft, and not taking ourselves too seriously. We celebrate down to earth love stories, wind in your hair, imperfections, hugs, and all dogs.
We live in Northern Michigan with our son and pup, with direct access to one of the most beautiful bodies of fresh water in the world.
In our work we do not artificially limit the kinds of images we make: wedding, portrait, senior, etc. Instead it is about working together with people that we honestly love. Our philosophy is simple, photography is about humans, in all of their complexity. We adore photographing complex, beautiful humans, doing amazing and simple things.

r our engagement shoot, not really wanting to do one. Michael made the entire experience feel like we were just hanging out with friends - laughing and enjoying nature. Going into our wedding, I knew Allen-Kent Photography would help ease all our stresses when it came to the hours of photo taking. Brooke, Michael, and team quickly became one of us with ease, blending into the day and taking photos like we've known each other for years. Their help with poses, making us laugh, and capturing the personalities of our crew made the process seem seamless. They captured our dogs, goofy beer boys, the food, the tears, the love, the dancing, and more. There's not a photo they took that we don't love. Their skills are a thing of wonders. Seeing their photos makes me wish I could relive our day. I cannot recommend them enough and have zero regrets working with them. You won't regret it either. Trust me, you want to laugh the day away with this incredible team.
