I believe we got what we paid for. We booked Alliance String Quartet because they were by far the most affordable all-string ensemble that we could find. Communication was always p...
rompt leading up to the wedding, however I will say that the grammar and punctuation errors made it difficult to understand via Email. We had 2 violinists play at my church ceremony, and a full quartet play at the cocktail hour of our reception. We were very pleased with the outcome of the ceremony, as they coordinated with the organist beforehand on collaborating on certain pieces of music. The reception, however, was a little different. If I had any advice for the quartet, I would recommend that they invest in microphones and speakers, as it was very hard to hear. We chose mostly pop music, which all sounded well when very close to the quartet. From across the lawn it was very difficult to hear and make out the songs. Overall, I believe we received what we paid for, as the price was far cheaper than most all-string ensembles.
Horrible, unprofessional, and rude. I was embarrassed to have them at my wedding. First, they tried to argue that we didn't pay the full initial payment and tried getting us to pay...
more, by calling myself and my husband separately to see if one of us would give in. We had to sent them receipts with the first payment when we booked their services, and had to go through the same thing again the week of our wedding as they tried to say AGAIN that our payment wasn't correct. That wasn't the worst part. The day of our wedding, our outdoor ceremony was going to be delayed possibly due to rain. They said they would refuse to pay unless they were compensated ahead of time; they demanded an unfair, extraordinary amount of money extra if they had to stay 15 minutes past the agreed time. They also demanded my ceremony to be held inside, even though we had a tent for them to play under as agreed. I told them to leave whether or not I got my money back because my family couldn't deal with them any longer. They walked around our venue demanding money, with a rude, ill-mannered, and nasty attitude towards my entire family and owners of the venue. The ceremony ended up starting on time, outside as planned, with no rain and no issues, but they did not play the 30 minutes of Prelude music because of this. I should be getting a refund but I never want to speak to these people again after the stress and embarrassement they put me through on my wedding day. What an awful experience.
