e had someone to capture our authentic, natural relationship but also have the flexibility with my corporate job. We looked and found Alison via social media and I loved her work right away. What I loved about her work was very natural, not significantly altered pictures and packages. She immediately worked with us in our timeline, met us for our engagement shoot and we can tell she was incredibly talented and most of all made us feel comfortable. My husband and I were very nervous through the process but 10 minutes meeting Alison we felt so comfortable and got amazing photos. I shared my vision for the pictures and she guided us to make sure we got the best areas to make they come to life; they came out perfect. Fast forward to the planning of the big day, I was nervous and changed things a few times on getting ready to pictures around the town.l timeline etc. She gave me her honest opinion and I truly valued having someone to bounce those things off with who knew it all. On my wedding day, we could not ask for a better photographer. She was there to capture every moment of my girls and the guys and my family. She was so professional and left me with nothing to do but smile big! She got all pictures and requests from my big family(200ppl) and everything came out perfect. The turn around time was remarkable; both the engagement shoot and the wedding pictures were available before I even asked. These pictures mean the world to me and were captured and edited with care! Allison was quickly fueling up during the dinner down time in order to prep for the dance party that lay ahead, so we snapped a quick iphone pic and planned on going back inside. Suddenly, just like sunset breaking free from the clouds, I see Allison making her way through the crowd of people with a look in her eye that let me know I am about to get the sunset pic of a lifetime. "LETS DO THIS" she said, as she led the way down to the waterfront. I am now the VERY happy owner of some jaw-droppingly beautiful sunset photos. Needless to say- Allison is not going to let you miss the shot. No matter what. Allison is THE BEST in every way possible. I could not have had more fun spending time with her on my wedding day. I am camera-shy and have never had professional photos taken before, which I assumed would make for some awkward looking pictures...I was wrong about that! Allison's energy will make you feel like you've known her forever, instantly putting you and your family/friends at ease in front of the camera. She works incredibly quickly, coming up with the right shots and flattering angles in literal seconds. We truly could not believe that the amazing pictures she was showing us had been taken so seemingly effortlessly, and at a speed that meant nobody was standing around! On top of her excellent photography skills and imagination, I remembered her being so accommodating and helpful to the bridesmaids and especially the bride when her dress broke! We did our engagement session with Allison this fall and after just a few minutes, we felt extremely comfortable. She made the session fun while capturing so many incredible photos. She was even patient with our dog (who was so poorly behaved!) On our wedding day, she was very organized and made the picture taking process enjoyable. Once the reception started, she blended in with the guests. The next morning at brunch, she sent us sneak peak pictures and everyone loved looking at them. s over! I cannot express my sincere gratitude toward her enough! I found Allison here on The Knot and later realized she had done my husband’s cousin’s wedding. From the minute I talked to her on December 23, 2019, I knew she was going to be awesome to work with. She was very detailed about her process for wedding day photos and her experience alone was impressive. When we finally met her in June 2020 for our engagement session, my feelings were validated. I later worked with Allison in March 2021 for a boudoir session for my husband. In both my engagement session and my boudoir session, I was super comfortable with Allison as she is super professional and experienced, and her pictures are just amazing. Leading up to the wedding, she would check up with my husband and I to make sure all was well (considering all our wedding planning was done in the height of covid). The day of the wedding, she came to my Grandfather’s where I was getting ready and she did her thing and kept things running smoothly and certainly calmed my nerves with her quickness, kindness, and professionalism. She called the shots and helped our video team get some pretty amazing shots as well. She knows exactly what she is doing and could probably do what she does in her sleep! I am amazed and grateful at how well she worked with my family and bridal party to make sure all the photos were done as quickly and as perfectly as possible. She was there to capture such beautiful moments, she calmed my 3 year old niece down and got her to cooperate, and she calmed my inconsolable father. So many of my guests commented on how great and professional she was and that really validated my decision to have her be our wedding photographer (even though I already knew I made the absolute best decision ever!) . At the end of the night when she told me she was leaving, I cried because she became more of a friend to me and I will forever be grateful for her and all the amazing moments and photos she captured. My husband and I were talking the night after the wedding and agreed that it takes a special kind of person to be a wedding photographer because you need to not only have an amazing eye for photography, but you need to understand how to manage people and the stress that they can endure during the wedding process. Both Allison and her assistant, Eric, have that special quality a million times over. They (along with my amazing wedding planner - Crystal Hunt of Shore Thing Event Services) were my saving grace throughout my wedding. They helped me keep it together when I started to get nervous or upset about tiny details or family not doing exactly what I wanted/needed in a particular moment. They were able to keep me focused on the big picture, or even distract me when I needed a moment of that. And all the while, they were taking the most extraordinary photographs. There truly is no one I would have rather had with me on this most special of days, and I can't thank Allison enough. in our backyard which was Allison's first time shooting at this "venue". Allison was able to use multiple areas in our yard as well as our neighbors to capture the beautiful moments from our wedding! Her second shooter Kelly was just as wonderful which made our day even more enjoyable. Allison and Kelly were conscious and aware of our timeline and needs throughout the day. They continuously offered me water in between shots which may not seem like a huge task, but it is something that I am very appreciative and thankful for since drinking water was the last thing on my mind.
